Headed south and into independence, the turbo on my 06 Chevy duramax went south in a huge way. AAA couldn't help in the area so I reached out to Britt's in Bishop as they had great reviews. They gave me the number of a heavy hauler and help me get the tow lined up super fast which was huge. They were great with communication that it would take a week or so to get to it which was totally fine as we had another ride home and I knew it wasn't going to be a simple fix. They helped me with storing the RV while the work was being done. They ended up having to completely replace the turbo, some lines and hoses and a few other small things. Also noticed that my frion was a little low and with the hot drive home, topped it off for me. This isn't a quick or easy job on this truck and the attention to detail showed in the end result. I nervously hitched up the RV after they finished and headed 200 miles south in 105 heat and she runs like brand new again. The entire crew there was super helpful and nice throughout the entire process. Moral of the story, if you're in the area at all and need help you can trust, Not only are they the best but probably the only ones with the combo of knowledge, a massive and impressive shop, friendly peeps and great pricing. As this was late in the day, I was skeptical that anyone would be able to help recover my car before sundown. I was almost two hours from the main road, so I was getting ready spend the night in a slanted car at 11,000 ft! Luckily, I was able to get in touch with Patty over the phone and sent her pictures of the situation. Both her and Bill arrived a few hours later (in the dark!) with their very capable vehicle and tools. After some initial struggling, we were able to recover my car from the side of the hill. No damage to my car as well. The steepness of the hill, combined with the narrow dirt road and deep snow made this recovery especially challenging. But they were able to work through it successfully. If you need a good tow/recovery around the Bishop area, Bill and Patty are the ones to call!

The driver side front and rear wheels did not have any traction because the sand kept sliding down the hill/Cliffside. Bill is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to off-road recovery. He set up the recovery and winched me out very quickly. No damage occurred to the Tacoma. They did all of this with a kind, lighthearted, and positive attitude. Amazing people and company!

So supposedly the RSA had called this place (only towing company in Bishop according to my google search) 9AM in the morning but maybe the quoted price was too high so RSA ended up asking another place in Sparks NV to come and get me - which didn't work because I waited for hours and then after a lot of back and forth that company decided to cancel around noon. I was pretty upset and called Billie's to ask if they are available and how much it would cost, where Billie's staff said $475 for the tow - now I understand why the RSA had originally asked and decided to try something else, that does sound pretty steep for a tow that's only 8 miles away from town and towing the car only 8 miles to town. LOL if you are the only place in town you can name whatever price you want. Anyways I was running out of options and really wanted to get the car to the town tire shop before they closed for the weekend so I called RSA again and insisted that they use Billie's instead of some unreliable place 100+ miles away and eventually they called Billie's and got someone to come in 1.5 hours. Once the tow driver arrived things moved really quickly and I got to the tire shop just 5 minutes before the technician was about to take off for the weekend. Driver was courteous and friendly.

You tried to strong arm me after you lost the contract for the tow. When you lost the contract, you tried to manipulate the situation to try and still get paid. Making up BS that the store owner asked you to now tow the vehicle. You didn't humbly decide to avoid anything. Your contract was cancelled due to your arrogance. You were told you CAN NOT touch my trailer by the police department. Sadly your tactics failed. P.S. It sucks when there is proof to invalidate your false claims. From the very first call, the owner, Billie Edmund Lozano, was defensive and rude, refusing to give me a straight ETA. After I canceled the tow, he began calling me back-to-back, threatening to impound my trailer and "ruin my life." When I told him I wouldn't be strong-armed into doing business with him, he suddenly changed his story--from being 3-4 hours away to claiming he was "already on site" so he could charge a show-up fee. It escalated further when he claimed the store owner where my trailer was parked had asked him to impound it and that I had 15 minutes to get there--knowing full well I was over 4 hours away. At that point, I had no choice but to call the police and file a report in case my trailer was stolen or damaged before another tow company arrived. This behavior was completely unprofessional, dishonest, and aggressive. Avoid this company at all costs. No customer should ever have to deal with threats and intimidation from a tow operator.
