I returned home from a short trip to a client call within my neighborhood to find a red van parked in my driveway and a man--who identified himself as being from Jimmy Lumley Plumbing--already inside my home, in my kitchen where I couldn't see him as he was behind the partition. I had received no notice, confirmation, or prior communication from Servpro or anyone else involved in the project indicating that a plumber was scheduled to arrive today. Let me be clear: He did knock on the door, but he did not ring the doorbell, which would have triggered my security system notification. When no one answered, he proceeded to let himself into my home without consent. My 19-year-old daughter was home and asleep in her bedroom, unaware that a stranger had entered the house. When I questioned him, he stated: "This is my fourth house today--I don't even remember," and admitted he didn't see a doorbell, even though he previously claimed he knocked AND rang the bell. When I called ServPro, they confirmed they were also not informed of his scheduled visit. This is an unacceptable breach of safety, privacy, and protocol. No individual should be entering a home without explicit permission, especially when no notice has been given to the homeowner or the rebuild team coordinating the project. The fact that someone was already inside my home when I returned--with no explanation--was both alarming and distressing.

Requested an estimate for bringing my condo up to current code. They showed up when we scheduled…read moreit. They looked at the issue, told me the think they would have to make specific changes, but the tech said he would have to speak with his boss. I appreciated that; however, I received no call back as to if they could make the changes and each time I called, it was "someone will call you back". Then I was invoiced for the repair that was estimated and never performed. After I called, was told they would look into it and delete the invoice. The next month I was invoiced again (2nd time) for work that was not done. I called again, they finally took care of it, but I still needed the work done. I requested an answer to my original question and now since it had been past 30 days, they would have to do another estimate. I live in Atlanta, so it is not as if I can just run down there. I scheduled another appointment, that did not happen. Was called the next day and said the code did not work. I asked why wasn't I contacted when the tech was at the unit? The office lady (who was very polite by the way) did not have an answer. I cancelled all further actions and will look for another electrician I can trust.

We are blessed that it only took them 5 hours to do the job and then to wait for Florida light and power to come turn back our electricity back on and in between having the inspector to come in and look at the job. They did two grounds one close to the house and one for feet out and the inspector city inspector said he's never seen it done that way but he was very happy to see it being done that way.
