Adding another review. First service request, they came out and changed my thermostat. AC still inefficient. Second service request, they came out and rerouted duct as it was done incorrectly. I still to this day have issues with the AC cooling my home during the summer time. Might I add brand new built house, AC is running constantly and has a hard time getting to even a set temp of 74. I have the electric bills to prove it. For a 2,255 square foot home a 3 ton unit is not efficient. I have 4 other neighbors that are dealing with the very same issue as I am. Modern Air sent me a Manual J that was just produced a week ago because apparently they never did a Manual J at the time of my build as a back pedal which their Manual J said my 2,255 square foot home with no external shade would be efficient with a 33,000 BTU unit. There's no way! I am working with my neighbors to subcontract Manual J calcs to show that all of our units are undersized which we will then take it further. What was submitted to the county for permit was a 3.5 ton unit. What they installed was a 3 ton unit at all 5 of our houses. I have called numerous other HVAC company's and they all confirmed the unit was undersized for the size of my house. read more

I waited a couple of weeks to make sure all was good but we had excellent service from Eddie at Modern Air. Our internet carrier was changed and we updated the thermostat, but somehow some of the settings reverted and our AC was blowing hot air on Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend! Eddie was out at 5pm after a 4pm call and was able to reset all the equipment and get it working properly. Maybe not the cheapest service, but having a good professional available 24/7 is awesome. Do not hire this company. They only want to sell you a new air conditioner. My unit was cooling and working fine. I had other issues. They overcharge for the services provided and I still had water dripping issue. I had another company come much less expensive and fixed my problem on the first visit. I contacted the company before posting this review. They did nothing to resolve. read more

What's worse than having your air conditioning unit kick the can mid-summer? The humidity that follows the summer showers. While the rain offered lower temps, the humidity was almost suffocating. With one call, sales manager Brad made getting us up and running a priority and came out same-day. He diagnosed the issue, determined our 17-year old Gibson had seen its last day, gave us options on new units and had one ordered all in one appointment. Less than 24 hours later, service techs Jermain and Rowen along with their manager Todd, spent the next several hours installing those units both inside and outside in addition to upgrading our duct, adding copper lines and replaced our thermostat. While all of that is awesome, it's their responsiveness, punctuality, reliability and professionalism that sets them apart from the rest. Not the worst. Not the best. Contracted for bi-annual preventative service. Took all of :15min. I do more on a monthly basis. Tech never removed the evaporator coil cover to clean & inspect. In a pinch or an emergency, you'll probably be ok. PS - Beware the upsell on equipment you don't need. read more

Can't say enough about this company. From the initial introduction when they were giving us the estimate, thru the installation and service...this company is going to make you happy. If you do have any issues, they will go out of their way to make it right and ensure a longtime relationship with their customers. We put 2 new Trane units in our current home and plan to buy another one soon for another property we own. We plan to do business with them for years to come.
