Extremely Disappointed - Negligence and Poor Customer Service…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Peaden deserves to be known. During a regular maintenance visit, Peaden mistakenly sent out someone who did not have the correct certifications to handle an AC System Cleaning & Tune-Up, which I had scheduled. They later admitted they made an error in scheduling my appointment and sent the wrongly certified technician, which I did not know at the time. He failed to check my refrigerant levels. Within two weeks, my air coil froze because of a lack of refrigerant and the capacitor blew, destroying a unit that had been working fine before their service. With indoor temperatures climbing into the 90s, I felt pressured to proceed with purchasing a brand-new system through the same company. At that point, I did not yet fully comprehend how serious their earlier negligence had been or how directly it had caused the failure of my prior unit. When I later confronted them about what had happened, Peaden would only offer me a $350 credit, claiming they had already given me a $1,500 discount on the proposal. However, the proposal itself only shows a "Member Discount" and a "Next Available Install" discount with no indication that these were intended as compensation for their prior mistake, nor was any such compensation ever verbally acknowledged or communicated to me by the salesperson. I paid half of the $10,000 bill in good faith and tried repeatedly to negotiate a fair adjustment to the balance, since the early replacement was needed only because of their own mishandling. Instead of taking responsibility, Peaden ignored my email, one I sent on October 10, 2025, directly responding to their earlier message to me. This week they escalated the situation by sending me a "Formal 5-Day Demand with Intent to File Claim of Lien." This is how they treat loyal customers who trusted them and paid thousands of dollars in good faith. Their communication is dismissive, their internal accountability nonexistent, and their handling of this matter has been deeply unprofessional. I strongly caution anyone considering Peaden to think twice before allowing their technicians to service or install your system. A company that refuses to acknowledge its own mistakes and instead threatens its customers with a lien and accompanying attorneys' fees deserves to be publicly called out.

This was a ridiculously insignificant issue but my kitchen sink sprayer broke. I called Peadon and…read morethey told me it couldn't be fixed and that I would have to buy a whole new faucet. The guy charged me $250 for this information. After researching and researching I couldn't find a faucet that would fit my antique farmhouse sink, and the more I thought aobut it the more crazy it sounded anyway. I called Whitehead and the guy fixed it in about ten minutes. Conclusion: WHITEHEAD knows what they are doing; Peaden does not. I deserve my money back but I'm sure that's not going to happen.

Adding another review…read more First service request, they came out and changed my thermostat. AC still inefficient. Second service request, they came out and rerouted duct as it was done incorrectly. I still to this day have issues with the AC cooling my home during the summer time. Might I add brand new built house, AC is running constantly and has a hard time getting to even a set temp of 74. I have the electric bills to prove it. For a 2,255 square foot home a 3 ton unit is not efficient. I have 4 other neighbors that are dealing with the very same issue as I am. Modern Air sent me a Manual J that was just produced a week ago because apparently they never did a Manual J at the time of my build as a back pedal which their Manual J said my 2,255 square foot home with no external shade would be efficient with a 33,000 BTU unit. There's no way! I am working with my neighbors to subcontract Manual J calcs to show that all of our units are undersized which we will then take it further. What was submitted to the county for permit was a 3.5 ton unit. What they installed was a 3 ton unit at all 5 of our houses. I have called numerous other HVAC company's and they all confirmed the unit was undersized for the size of my house.
