How not to treat a customer: On 8/24/26, I requested an Oil Change, power steering diagnostic, and check a tire for possible leak. On 8/28/26, I received a reply stating, I needed both batteries need replacement. I found that strange, you replaced the right side on 2/9/24 or 2 years and 6 months ago. I replaced the left in 9/22. The manager refused to replace the one they installed, Then you stated the front control arm bushings were torn; these were replaced by you in 1/03/24 on a bill of $8,816.67 with 24,619 miles. I now have 27,236 miles on the car in 8/31/26. The manager would not stand behind his work and would not repair, stating that's normal wear? I check the estimated cost to replace a steering pump, and a Bentley dealer is around $2,500 your charge was $4,600. Be very careful with these people. Brought my kids car in for a diagnostic, which I paid 160.00 for. They did pinpoint that the car was missing because three of the ignition coils were bad. I was quoted about 1,700.00 dollars parts and labor!! Got the car away from them pronto! Bought six new coils for 55.00 on Amazon, and a mobile mechanic came to my house and installed them for 100.00. Do your homework, people. I've read this has happened with multiple other people. We have been bringing our vehicle there since they opened, point being they know the vehicle. We brought it in because occasionally it would not shift out of second gear. We were told it was a because the coolant was leaking therefore forcing it into "limp mode". The leak had been an issue for years but the leak wasn't major and we would just add coolant in time to time and was fine. $3800 later it did not fix the problem. After about a month of rental cars they came back and said they think it's the main computer for another $5,000 but they couldn't guarantee that was the problem. We said no thank you we will just pay for the coolant system even though we didn't think we should have to. They then tried to charge us another $1,200 in diagnosis fees after the coolant system was fixed and they misdiagnosed it. We were never told about the fees nor given a written estimate. So essentially we were out almost $4000 not including the thousand in rental car fees. They misdiagnosed the problem, took no responsibility and were essentially were told to not bring the car back which the only way they would not charge us the diagnoses fee. Anyone can take in a repair but takes experience to know when something is beyond your knowledge. Thank you for charging us for your misdiagnosis and leaving us with the original issue. read more

Our daughter recently visited from SC. Her "check engine" light appeared on the way down. She was only here for two days and Don's Import agreed to look at the car without an appointment. They found two major issues with the secondary air flow system. The parts were obtained quickly but not in time for our daughter's return trip. She used our car to return home while Don's received & installed the parts. The repairs were completed very quickly and accurately. When I picked the car up I was also amazed that our daughter's sloppy habits had been corrected & the car was immaculate. We use Don's for our own cars. If you have a friend that recommends this place to you, get rid of that friend. Instead of wasting time taking your car there, just take some gasoline and poor it on your money and light the match. I cost me over 400 for them to tell me that my gas gauge was faulty and to give me 4 gallons of gas. Did they fix the problem--- NO. Why??? Because they don't know how to download the upgrades for the computer. Really!!!! An import specialist. More like a specialist to export money from your wallet. They said I only needed one replaced, saving me $3500 which I then spent having them fix sensors, perform a tune-up and replace my AC blower motor. Excellent service! I just moved to the area and was looking for a shop to develop a long term relationship for my 2 collector cars. 2002 BMW Z8 and 1999 Ferrari f355. I tool my Z8 in for some maintenance and a leak from the AC under the dash as well as new tires. Car left the shop with 2 of 5 items I paid for not fixed. The main issue that was not fixed was the AC leaking under my dash onto the floorboard. Dustin said the next step was to remove the entire dash board and charge me time and materials so a big money job at $119.00/hr. I took the car to another BWW specific shop for a second opinion and they blew the AC drain line out charged me $35.00 and the problem is fixed. I contacted Dustin to let him know and he asked what I wanted him to do and I responded with "what would you expect if this was your car and you paid for something and it wasn't fixed. " I GOT NO RESPONSE." Communication was really bad and they had a chance to make this right but they didn't. read more

We recently moved to town and were looking for a place to service our Honda and Nissan. I called Don's several times to get an estimate on routine maintenance, such as oil changes, CVT fluid changes, tire rotations etc. It took several calls to get a response. For a business like this to land a new customer costs a couple of hundred dollars. Their lack of response is deplorable--and speaks volumes. When they did respond, their prices were higher than the dealer prices. I am not sure who runs this business or how they manage to stay in business. Given their lack of responsiveness when we were interested in becoming a customer, I shudder to think what would happen when there is a problem. read more

Don's is not what it use to be. I've been there a few times before and always pleased with their work . This time was different. Not sure if The new advisor made The difference or what. I took my VW Bug in for repair. None of the power windows or top would work and I smelled something burning. They could find nothing wrong but the breaks and said that must be what I smelled. After the breaks were repaired (not cheap) they said the drivers window would not work. Long story short, another repair place Found a burnt motor that controlled the top & windows....I felt As if Don's had a closed mind to what I was telling them. I have used Don's Import Auto Service based on Yelp reviews since moving here from California in early 2015. Just had 100,000 mile service on my vehicle. Price seemed fair. The work is warrantied for 2 years or 24,000 miles. There are exclusions but would expect to be taken care of if something went wrong. I don't anticipate that happening as they do good work. I had my 2012 Mini Cooper S serviced for a reduced engine power light. They said they found a small leak on the pipe between the turbo and air intake. I didn't even get the car home from repair when the problem returned. After research and getting a proper OBDII reader and boost gauge, I was able to see that turbo boost pressure was being lost somewhere. I've decided to take it to another garage to fix. read more

Recently took my wife's import car in for an analysis of some dashboard lights coming on. They told me there were various issues and the work would cost approx. $1500.00. I told them I would hold off. However I did have them do an oil change and the computer diagnostic and the total was $256.00, a bit steep in my humble opinion. I took the car for a second opinion on the work Don's said was needed and come to find out that the real issue was an air intake valve that would cost approx. $200.00 and the 2nd mechanic said the issue should have been obvious because of the noise the part was making. Years ago I used to own Honda vehicles. The Accord is my favorite car (nice ride, dependable, great resale value, affordable and runs forever if you take care of them). Don's Import has been taking care of not only my cars but my parent's car long before I started going there. The staff there are VERY POLITE, VERY FRIENDLY AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I was always appreciative of the time they took to show me and explain to me what the problem was with my car and how it could be fixed or semi-repaired if I wasn't able to fix everything they noticed was questionable or in need of attention. No high pressure sales with them! Don's is a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for! Don's workers are happy and they take pride in their work and the appearance of the shop. They also provide courtesy drop-off and pick-up service if you need help. It is not easy to find a good hair stylist or good mechanic....take my word Don's Import Auto Service is a great find!!! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We have a 2000 VW Jetta which my daughter is currently driving as she attends graduate school. It has 115K on it and thanks to Dons it's running like a champ! We owned this car when we moved to Florida 8 years ago and despite the fact that it's a GREAT car - we were having absolutely AWFUL experiences trying to get it serviced at virtually every VW dealer within a 100 mile radius. Then we discovered Dons. These guys are GREAT! I can't begin to give enough praise to them for their work. My husband travels for business - so I'm often the one taking care of such "menial" tasks and as far as the people at Don's know - I'm a woman who knows little about cars and they STILL don't try to take advantage of me. Instead they seem to be interested in building a long term relationship - and creating a fan of their business! They are very polite and very respectful. They will explain WHY they're doing what they're doing and even show you the parts. For example - we took our Jetta in and it needed a belt replaced which required them to tear apart the whole engine apart.(Remember, it has 115K miles on it - things are going to be breaking from here on out.) While they had the thing torn apart, they replaced the other parts exposed. The bill was slightly higher because of the additional parts - but - as my husband pointed out - it was cheaper in the long run to do it that way. While it was a $1500 bill - most of that was labor - and they could have easily "saved" us a hundred dollars or so by not replacing the other parts likely to break (i.e. the water pump). Instead of just replacing the belt, they did it all at once so we won't be repeating that $1000 plus repair every time those other things break - like the water pump. Don's is a great place - where women are treated like intelligent human beings. Truly as good as it gets when it comes to auto repair. read more

Liars. And shockingly rude at that. Came in on a Monday for a simple oil change that cost me $214 (yes, BMW.) The "technician" Kevin discovered I needed my battery replaced for another $500 (yes, stupid me.) So I agreed to pay the whopping $714 bucks plus tax and waited FOUR hours for a simple oil change and battery change. After I coughed up the money, several notification lights came on. The "technician" Kevin said, "oh just drive and they will eventually go off". No no no no no, sir. You fix this right now. So come to find out, the rear light bulb needed to be replaced. So I paid an ADDTIONAL 50 bucks for them to replace the lightbulb. (How many people does it take to change a lightbulb? One idiot and two conmen.) After that whole ordeal, I went home. The next day the right rear turn signal malfunction" came on. I called Kevin the "technician" and he said the earliest time he can get me in is Friday. So on Friday, I dropped the car off, paid 40 bucks for the Uber, took TWO hours off of work, just so Kevin the "technician" can tell me, "Oh we have to order a part for you because you have a bent socket (??). The part will come on Monday". Bro, who do you think I am? So after I explained how much time and money I wasted over a simple light bulb change, Kevin the "technician" had the audacity to say, "well if my car needed repairs, I would have to do the same thing too". Honey, booboo. Did you not take sensitivity training? Do you not know what customer service is? Dude is in the WRONG business. So after all that, they put my car back together and Kevin the "technician" rudely handed me back my keys. I went to get a second opinion. And the icing on the cake? There was nothing wrong with my car. They really think they can take advantage of us because we're snowbirds. Because the economy is bad, does that mean they can compensate by gouging customers? I definitely ain't the one. Drive to Melbourne or Fort Pierce. Don's Auto is definitely not the only game in town. Canceled. Avoid like the bubonic plague. read more

So I have given them another chance due to the lack of trust worthy places to get your car fixed. And as expected they are just like all the rest. They gave me one quote for the work and then added on 2 additional charges after they took my car back. So this gets better. After waiting 2 1/2 hours my car rolls out with only 2 wheels done and they begin to tell me that they stopped working on it because the wheels won't balance properly as they are custom wheels and the tires are not the best they just can't get it right. After some back and forth talking the real reason comes out......my bad review on the last time I was in with my car. If these people have any morale standards they would of said up front but as they typically do they never tell you the truth. This is a terrible business and my only fault was giving them another chance. I can assure you it won't happen again and if I can convince just one other person not to go there then my job would be done. read more

The folks at Don's are honest, they do good work, their pricing is fair, and they keep your vehicle in its' happy place. I cannot recommend them enough. From regular maintenance to problem solving, to setting up a detail session (that last one is by appointment only) - they do it all and are even able to perform in-warranty maintenance for most of those new cars (saving you dealer fees). From the beginning of the call to retrieving our car, the customer service by the owner Bill was impeccable!! The shop is welcoming and extremely clean throughout the lobby and garages.
