The shop is located East of Pine Island South of Griffen road at the end of 83rd terrace on the right side Davie Florida. The moment I walked in I knew this place was something special. Amanda was helping a customer she was so patient and knowledgeable the lady left her car and she didn't seem stressed at all. When I stepped to the counter she greeted me like I was a regular at the shop "Good morning how can we help you today" with a big smile. I told her I was there for a simple oil change she asked if I'd like them to do a tire rotation she said "it's recommended when doing an oil change, but it's up to you" I didn't feel pressured to add services I didn't come for. Amanda was able to get the car taken care of right away I waited about an hour for the oil change and tire rotation, the wait was a breeze. The service tech wasn't condescending when he spoke with me, which if you've ever taking your car to a dealership you know what I'm talking about. After this I will never go to the dealership for service again. I plan to bring my other car in soon. Big thank you to Local Auto Repair. Anyway, I brought my SUV here. Sure enough, this adorable 9 year old knew more than me about tires. I was able to get a new tire quickly. The staff were so nice. I chatted with them both and actually had fun waiting for my new tire. This location is in a Publix shopping center. There are several restaurants as well . You can definitely use your time in a fun way while waiting for your car repair.

My passenger side window was stuck down and would not go up. I spoke with Yassar, who introduced himself as the manager. Yassar advised a diagnostic would be done to determine the issue but it was probably the motor. I was advised the issue was the motor and Yassar stated he couldn't find the motor anywhere. He would need to order from the dealership. The window was r as used and the door panel was left on the backseat. I was charged $49.95 for the diagnostic and Yassar stated he would call me later after he located the part at the dealer. Yassar called me and quoted me a price of $1,200. I was shocked and told him I would not be ordering that part. The car is a 2015 Acura TLX. I called someone else and he located the part at Autozone for $200. When I was having the part installed at another shop, they said the problem was not the motor but was the switch. I called Yassar and asked for my diagnostic fee to be refunded. It was an unpleasant conversation but he said he would refund the charge and let me know when it was done. One week later, it has not been done. I will not return to this location and have shared this with Tires Plus corporate.

I went agains't what everyone told me and bought a retitled car (car that was in an accident and…read moreconsidered totaled by the insurance company) that was repaired. After a couple of days the car began to have brake issues, my car would stop short or make noises, a friend of mine referred me to his mechanic Charles Mears, I called him up and setup an at home appointment to examine my car. I was extremely nervous about this because I have had many bad experiences with auto repair, Charles showed up at my home on time (no small feat itself, I live on a horse ranch) and his calm demeanor rubbed off as he began to inspect my car. As I had already explained what the issue was he went right to it and in a short period of time I could see why he was referred so highly he had all of the tools needed to inspect my car thoroughly and more, (he has to be the most tool conscience mechanic on the east coast, his toolset looks like something you would see at an Indy 500 race but better organized), within say 20 minutes he showed me what could have been my worst nightmare, brake pads that on the drivers side were worn to the steal and passenger side brake pads that looked almost new. The reason for that was the potential nightmare, the passenger side caliper was frozen from a lack of lubricant, the piston inside was frozen like it had been welded to the sides, really nervous now I asked him what's this going to mean in cost? His answer was kind of shocking really, he said "first, I think you should get a second opinion, I don't want you to think I'm doing work that's not needed and don't tell them about the caliper, let them tell you", surprised by this I did exactly that, had it inspected by a local big chain repair shop, the second I got in my car I called Charles to set another appointment, "you were dead on right I told him, they never even looked at the calipers" to fix my car, the difference in the repair cost alone was enough to warrent the call, Charles quoted me a fraction of this so called "Honorable Auto Repair shop". He showed up the next day on time again and without hesitation began working on my car and talking me through what he was doing, he is a talented mechanic with more tools that Snap On. He finished up the job and even fixed a couple of small things on his own and made no mention of cost when the time to pay him came up. Now I'm no mechanic (couldn't even fix a big wheel) but, I've had enough experience with auto mechanics to know he was very good at his job and far more reasonable. He calls me from time to time to see how my car is running concerned also that I purchased a retitled car, he is great and if you don't call him first, call him after the shock of your repair bill from your mechanic wears off, you wont regret calling him, you will regret thhat you waited. Thank You Charles, wish there was an option for a 6th or 7th star, your worth it.
