Amanda was helping a customer she was so patient and knowledgeable the lady left her car and she didn't seem stressed at all. When I stepped to the counter she greeted me like I was a regular at the shop "Good morning how can we help you today" with a big smile. I told her I was there for a simple oil change she asked if I'd like them to do a tire rotation she said "it's recommended when doing an oil change, but it's up to you" I didn't feel pressured to add services I didn't come for. Amanda was able to get the car taken care of right away I waited about an hour for the oil change and tire rotation, the wait was a breeze. The service tech wasn't condescending when he spoke with me, which if you've ever taking your car to a dealership you know what I'm talking about. After this I will never go to the dealership for service again. I plan to bring my other car in soon. Big thank you to Local Auto Repair. They work with you, give thorough explanation's and are very fairly priced. Everyone is very helpful and do their best to accommodate. Noel has solved, or attempted to solve at least, the mechanical mysteries my car has presented. (There's one he couldn't repair and referred me to a specialist.) I'm trying to get the most out of this vehicle. I bought it new but it has seen better days. I had a chat with him at the end of the day during my second visit. We talked about my goal for this car. I am so grateful that I spotted many raving recommendations in a local Cooper City Facebook group for Local Auto that recommended Noel. I have a huge road trip in a few days, and of course my car is acting up. I took it originally to All Tune & Lube on Pines. They kept my car HOURS, charged me for work that did NOTHING to fix my problem, told me to get a "tune up" for A GRAND even though I literally just had one done last month and I know now completely misdiagnosed my problem and attempted to completely overcharge me. When I paid the bill for their needless work and then pointed out in the parking lot the problem was no where near fixed, they tried to charge me thousands more-totally making it up as they talked to me. I turned to my group of neighbors and thankfully found countless praises for Local Auto, and now so also can't say enough good things!! He quoted me $150 for something optional someone else had quoted me $600 for so I was deferring it. AND he immediately knew the real problem messing up my car and honestly hustled to get it fixed in time for me same-day, even patiently waiting for me rushing yo get there to pick it up after they closed. My car is now SO good!! WOW!!!!! There are some incompetent jerks out there that will look you right in the eye and be super shameless about taking money for problems they fabricate. When was the last time you received a sub $200 repair quote from a local mechanic shop? Normally you say never but not here! I was experience engine stuttering, cylinder misfire, stalling and knew it would be a costly repair. I was anticipating new coil packs, spark plugs and/or o2 sensor issues. Noel diagnosed the issue and was able to correctly identify the problem and repaired the same day. When I got the bill I was shocked and thought it was a joke but it wasn'....literally under $200 and my car was back in service. Noel was amazing! My BMW X5 was completely dead. There was NO power & couldn't even open the back hatch to get to the battery. I live a couple of miles from his location, so he was kind enough to come to my home. He was able to jumpn the car to get enough power to start the car, drove it to his shop, installed a new battery, filled my tires, reset the entire computer system (which was glitching even before the battery issue) and drive it back to my house. To say his level of service was exemplary is an understatement. I will recommend them to everyone I know and will never bring my car anywhere else for anything from full service to an oil change. I left them a review of 5 stars on Google the 1st time I encountered them, but I am now leaving ANOTHER 5 star review since then on a different platform (Yelp) because they deserve the recognition! (Google won't allow a 2nd review on something completely different.) They did something few would do, so listen to what I have to say. One of their mechanics broke something in my AC during a repair (accident I am sure, so no need for detail). What did this big hearted couple do? They made good for it (because I got it repaired elsewhere!) It was over a grand! Who does this? When I told them they just requested the part (for proof) and the bill and paid me back. Most mechanics would never assume the blame, much less pay out for an employee error. This is good business, but few understand this. Good luck finding other shops this ethical elsewhere! read more

I truly cannot say enough about this mechanic shop. After being recommended by a few of my clients at a local barbershop nearby and hearing all the good things they had to say I knew I couldn't go wrong with them. I recently chose them to do my engine swap since I had water damage from the recent tropical storm we had beginning of June. When I called them they were extremely patient and laid back. They answered all my questions and were very reassuring. I must also commend them for dealing with my crappy insurance company. Before I end up writing a whole book about how great this shop is , just know that they did a fantastic job. My car is completely restored and I have no complaints on my end. Also nice that they told me to bring it by after a week of driving just to double check. There staff is amazing and attentive and now I have my new go-to mechanic shop which is hard to say with all these scam artist mechanics out here in South Florida . Two thumbs up and 11/10 stars.
