This strip center also has Lincoln Square and a Dollar General directly across from it. So, despite being located at the end of the building it's at least a good thing that this entire area gets a decent amount of traffic. First off, according to their social media page (as of 1/20/23) their hours have changed to Monday-Thursday by appointment, Friday and Saturday 12-5, and Sunday from 11am-3pm. Vaeh's offers premium quality home goods at typically 40-70% off retail prices. They do have an online presence and you can order that way. This building is a little iffy in terms of accessibility with ramps at the front, back, and directly in front of Lincoln Square. The ramps are not quite ADA, though they are fairly close. Vaeh's has a relatively small storefront and the selection is mostly furniture, though they also are known to offer seasonal items, appliancs, art, and assorted other objects. It's a relatively quick stop, but if you're going to Lincoln Square or Dollar General it's a nice add-on if you can get here during their hours. I've been trying to spend more time in this area as I consider it my home area (I actually live about a mile south). Ultimately, there's lots of good stuff here and I would consider this to be a bit of a hidden gem here in Indy. Folks here are friendly, prices are good, selection is surprisingly good for such a small place, and it's a great way to support local. I'll definitely be back.

What you really have here are local folks designing and printing shirts, stickers, magnets, mugs, and a variety of other products all with an Indiana theme. Somehow, I'd missed the fact that they'd opened a storefront in SoBro directly off of East 54th Street in the storefronts next to and behind The Clubhouse. I was in the area today and decided to check out some new businesses. This area tends to have a lot of fluidity in terms of business - not always because of closures, but because businesses also just grow and move on. Every time I'm here, I seem to find something new. United State of Indiana has ramps at both doors - both ramps are really well built. The interior is easy to navigate and is filled with a wealth of shirts, stickers, mugs, posters, magnets and so much more. There's pop culture themes, Indiana and Indy specific themes, political statements, landmarks and a whole lot more. The employee working was super friendly and helpful. I could barely turn any corner without seeing something I wanted to buy for a friend. Truthfully, there's no doubt I'll be back because this stuff is so incredibly well done. I ended up taking home two magnets today - one for the Monon and one with the Indianapolis flag. They're already on my fridge. This is such a terrific shop. I happened to pick up a magnet that had an incorrect price (they recently had to do a bit of an increase - completely reasonable and I'd easily have paid it, but they insisted on honoring the price as it was their mistake). I also loved that they had a wide variety of sizes for t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, etc. Because of how my body curves with spina bifida and also because of my ostomy, I tend to wear larger clothing. They have it here. Such a delight. United State of Indiana started as an online storefront. That storefront still exists, however, I'm definitely one who loves that in-person experience and I look forward to returning here in the near future. As another accessibility note, while you can park right off East 54th, there's an accessible spot behind The Clubhouse and next to the back entrance of the store. It's where I typically park as it gives the wheelchair lots of room.

Home Grown Indiana, which appears connected to the same named shop in Noblesville and the recently departed Circle Centre location, has opened up on the second level of the mall between Sunglass Hut and Aroma 360. In a sea of premium, national chain vendors, Home Grown Indiana is a rather quaint, locally owned shop focusing on Indiana-themed gifts and wares by Indiana artists. The best entrance to use for easy access is The Cheesecake Factory/Starbucks entrance, though I typically go in through the restaurant gallery and that worked just fine. Home Grown Indiana is open mall hours. The employee, whom I believe was the owner, was friendly and helpful. You could definitely get a sense that they were brand new, though I didn't know that for fact during my visit. Items include things like bath bombs, candles, clothing, artwork, magnets, and more. Nearly everything I saw had an Indiana theme to it including the Indiana-shaped refrigerator magnet with butterflies that I simply had to get. Those of you who know me, know that I started a refrigerator magnet collection during my cancer journey - this was a great addition to my collection. The magnet was only $6.99. They definitely have a wide price range, though I had no issue finding simple, reasonably priced goods alongside the pricier art works. Shop decor was simple, well organized, and I could get around the shop in a wheelchair quite easily. This shop is definitely not as "premium" as the Noblesville spot, though I'd imagine it'll pick up as they settle in and get discovered. I can't quite justify a 5-star experience here, however, I can easily go 4-stars with a welcoming spirit and a strong local flavor that is definitely needed at this mall. Circle Centre's loss is Fashion Mall's gain. I'd venture up to the second floor and give them a visit.
