horrible service. The workers were extremely rude and disrespectful. My boyfriend and I were followed around the ENTIRE TIME by several different workers which made our shipping experience awful. I wasn't even buying anything I just went with my boyfriend was buying for himself and when i tried leaving the store i had workers chase me out to ask for my ID. I had nothing on me because I wasn't getting anything he was. Then they proceeded to only card one person from other people's parties. Went to Binnys 2 weeks asked if I had a mask showed lady and walked away, 2 males of middle eastern decent without masks,walked in ahead of me not a word said. Male at humidor demanded I put mask on and stated several times it was state law, when corrected he stated it was Binnys policy, all while being within 2 feet of me. He yelled at lady for coming into humidor, she only wanted cigar right inside door. Got 2 cigars one tag said $4.75 the other one said $3.95 got to register $3.95 cigar rang up $7.60, a manager came i showed him the tag he picked it up and threw it into empty Bin and said tag in bag which was not visible was correct price, refused to honor price, got back to register female employee who stopped me over mask was rude. Fem and male employee talking near door, female mask was pulled down nothing said. Same manager I dealt with walked past and did not say a word. Spoke to said manager later who confirmed he saw mask but said it was only below nose. Emailed Distr manager Ryan K. No response. Spoke to GM John, very nice guy sympathetic to what happened was looking into situation. Update: 1.5 weeks goes by no response from district manager still, GM John reviews camera footage states I was correct and manager should of honored $3.95 price and said Distr manager was supposed to of reached out to me by then. 6/21/2020 In store Everyone pleasant as I walk to humidor a Dark skinned male is walking towards me "NO MASK" nothing said. We never, ever have to go to Friar Tucks again. Friar Tucks had been my "Well, we don't have Binny's, so this place works" place. No more. Better, fresher beer selection. Vastly more extensive and helpful wine selection. And better staff. I don't mean to ONLY compare them against FT, but Binny's is a Chicagoland powerhouse for a reason. I was being a wine snob. I wanted a particular wine from a particular winery from a particular country of a particular year. No one else in town could get it for me. But you Binny... you saved the day. You used your handy dandy computer, placed my order and got it in a week. And you even offered that if they couldn't get my super snobby requested vintage (aka year) that wouldn't charge me and you'd just stock it on your shelves. But then you have beer. So much beer. So fresh. So many choices. This is what Heaven's beer selection looks like. Your prices are reasonable, your store easy to navigate, with plenty of light, happy workers and displays that are the perfect height for me to see across the store and find my lost husband. Since moving to the area about a month ago, I've really struggled to find a decent beer and liquor store. Most grocery stores here don't even have a make your own 6 pack, and those that do have very standard and unimpressive selections. I had pretty much resigned myself to alternating between the same few good but routine beers every week, so when I say that I heard angels singing upon walking into Binny's, I am only slightly exaggerating. They really do have the best selection of beer I've found--not only in the area, but ever, along with tons of liquor, wine, cider, mead, and so on. The staff is very friendly and seems generally happy to help you find whatever you're looking for, which is good, since the store is pretty massive ("depot" is definitely apt). read more

This liquor store has a HUGE selection of beer, whiskey and other types of flavored liquor but their wine selection isn't the best. Only like 4 rows of wine. They also need to work on taste testing of their lower selling items to move product as well as keeping customers happy as well as feeling valued. read more

I love how they can just pick and choose which days they sell to me (even though I'm of legal age). I was in there a couple weeks ago my sister came in with me (does not care for alcohol) also so she can get out of the heat. We go through I get what I need pay leave no problem. But today because our car has no air conditioning still she came in again with me. I grabbed what I needed went to pay yet again my sister touched nothing and was holding nothing they say today they won't sell to me because she is with. I remind them I am of age so the manager looks at my ID then says "...'98... yeah I can't sell to you." Excuse me ma'am how is it you even got to be manager if you can't do simple math?. On top of that I see almost every time I am there some kids preteen age some a little older in there with their parents/older siblings/friends. How is that fine and those people are sold too but I am denied service. Simply just in awe at the lack of professionalism every time. read more

Dear Binny's, why do you have someone in the "humidor" if they're not going to help me. I was trying to buy a gift for my guy, and your staff member pretty much made me feel like a fool when I asked him for suggestions. He was so condescending and belittling. I refuse to give him the commission/credit for something he didn't help me with, so I left with out buying anything (which has never Happened!). I am so disappointed. I went in, as a frequent customer, to get a bottle of pappys. The boy at the counter told me I don't spend enough money in there to receive a bottle. So even though I shop there once or twice a week, I'm not "loyal enough of a customer." He was very snide and I will never be back. read more

I've been in Binny's a few dozen times now since they opened and I'm never disappointed about their selection for beer, wine, or liquor. That by itself is enough to rate them at 4 stars, but they got a 5th star when I had to special order a bottle of Scotch. I was looking for a unique bottle as a wedding gift and didn't see it on their shelf or in the locked cabinet. I was somewaht apprehensive about special ordering something, but I asked the manager about the process. Not only did he make the process very simple and easy, but he also had some fantastic information about the bottle I was buying that I couldn't find anywhere else! Hats off to Binny's for continuing to provide exceptional service above and beyond the norm. read more

Always good prices and great selection. Problem with this was that I had my 24 year old daughter go in and my 17 year old daughter was with her. When they got to the register, the cashier wouldn't sell the alcohol to her because my youngest daughter was not 21. Put a sour taste in my mouth. read more
