"A Little Communication Goes a Long Way" Once any salesman or workmen got to my house everything was fine - the job went well. However... Everything before & after left me wanting. The salesperson took my order, but it was 3 weeks-ish before hearing of any status: Did my special glass order go through? If ordered, do you have an expected date? A simple email would suffice. Calling... There was no status & all I got was "I will get back to you" (they never did). Suddenly, I get a call "We will be there tomorrow." (Uh...no you wont - I have to arrange that) Billing... The workmen left & didnt take payment (they just left). Now I have to call (again) and track down whoever I need so I can pay. I don't "really" know how large or small they actually are...but they certainly seem small from a back-office point of view. Which... Would be okay if their prices reflected that - but they dont. So... IMHO: A little communication goes a long way folks. read more

WOW! VERY DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Purchased a Part on 5/15/2023 that was an incorrect part. On 5/16/2023, I contact Lonestar Imports to better understand their return policy, as the part was incorrect and untouched. This was Not The fault of Lonestar Imports, i simply had a question! A gentleman by the name of Kevin answered when I called. I was immediately cut off by Kevin who was very rude with a sharp attitude. I attempted to calm his response by letting him know I was simply trying to explain how I got the wrong part. I also stated to Kevin that I was really having a difficult time right now and was just seeing if I could return the part. Kevin said "I have told you 3 times already you can't return the part. We can't take care of your mechanic's mess up." I then asked if there were a manager that I was able to speak with and he stated "I am the manager." Although customer service has definitely reached an all time low, I was expecting a little more patience from the manager. Kevin May be The greatest guy on the plane, who knows.. I truly hate this was my experience with Lonestar and only pray I NEVER HAVE TO PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN! It's much easier to loose a customer than it is to gain one. The difference between an employee and a manager should show gratitude, on the owner's behalf for entrusting them with not only a customer but finances. If you would like to get robbed definitely this is the place for you, Finance department adds bumper to bumper warranty without your concerns due to not applying it on the out the door price only 2 months later when you can't cancel the loan within 1 month. Buyer beware! Typical heartless, lying and deceiving salesmen. We bought a used 2015 Audi from Easy Honda. We hadn't driven the car for more than 100 miles and 4 days later the transmission went out. I was driving on the highway when suddenly I get a message on the dashboard about the engine overheating. I also felt a pull like the car was about to stall. Like you're driving and suddenly switched to park. I got out of the highway and parked in a gas station, turned it off and waited for a bit before I decided to drive it to the dealership. Lo and behold the car would not drive over 40 mph. I also got another message about the reverse gear not being available. Sadly and as expected the sales guy wasn't available and most likely unwilling to talk to us. So we had no choice but to leave the car in the shop for repair. They gave me a loaner for now. I'll have to come back here to provide a follow up. It's necessary to mention JG one of the finance directors treated us with the outmost kindness through the stress and the disappointment even though I wasn't kind to him at first. Poor guy just got caught in the middle. read more

Although some of the reviews from several years back were concerning, I decided to give them a try since they'd been in business so long. I am SO glad I did! I called to inquire about their products and they had someone out to measure my shower the next day. Alfred was superbly professional and friendly and he even gave me a few pointers to consider. I had several questions and wanted to see glass samples in person so I went to their storefront. Steve was extremely helpful with helping me understand my options and I did not feel like he was trying to sell me at all. Within 20 minutes, I had my selections and the following day I had my quote. Yesterday I had a gentleman come out to look at/quote a double pane window repair. I had moisture/dirt between panes. I was expecting to replace the glass, but we found a spare window in garage. It fit, surprisingly. This man spent about an hour with me to take out and reinstall the window...and did not charge me a dime. I tried to pay at least for his labor...nope. He was professional...this company (Binswanger Glass) is not out to nickle and dime you. I believe I worked with Richard. Thats not to say your project will be free...but you'll have a good experience at a fair rate. read more

I ordered custom shower glass for a bathroom remodel. The branch manager sends me an email to schedule the install at 10pm on a Thursday night. I saw his email early Friday morning to schedule my install, only to not have any follow up. I call the following Monday and was told that the scheduling person would get back to me shortly. I receive an email at almost 6pm from the branch manger telling me that their schedule is all booked and can I do a Friday. Absolutely not! I guess they are so busy that it takes 12 hours to receive a return phone call or any sort of customer follow up. read more

I guess this company is doing so well that they don't even need my business. I requested a quote using the online system. A day later, someone emailed me asking if I wanted someone to come out and give me a quote. Obviously, yes - that was what I had already requested. The next day, I got a call from the estimator saying he was a half hour away. First I'd heard from him, never asked when I'd be home or when he could come by for an appointment. I was out and it didn't work out that day. After a few rescheduling issues (had to move things around from my end, no fault of Binswanger), the line fell cold. I've asked to reschedule to get a quote and haven't heard back in 2 weeks. Overall, this was poor customer service- the estimator just thinking he would show up without asking me what works for my schedule, and the slow email correspondence. Why not call? It just seems like they really don't want my business, and at this point, they won't be getting it. This rating is based solely on my inability to get a quote from this company, not on the service provided. I've heard only good things about the company and am really disappointed with how this worked out. read more

I was road tripping back to my hometown of Topeka, KS during June, 2022. Along the way a rock chipped my winshield and a crack formed across the middle of the glass; it had to be replaced. I was only in town a few days, so I needed a company to do it quickly, and Binswanger agreed - that is the only reason they get even one star. The quoted price was about $360.00 for a 2014 Ford Focus, which seemed a bit steep, but I was in a hurry so okay. The customer service, product, and installation were all below any type of standard. After agreeing to do the job, I brought my car in to their shop. They removed the broken winshield and then called me to say that the new windshiled was scratched, and could I wait a few more days for another one to be delivered. Of course, I had already told them that I had to leave soon because I had other commitments. So, I tried to haggle the price down but the receptionist could neither answer basic questions like how large is the scratch, nor could she make any decisions so she said a supervisor would call me. My phone rang and a man said, "I'm ____ from Binswanger, but I don't know why I'm calling you." A bit flumoxed, I explained the situation and tried to work out a new price. At this point I had few options because of the timing and the fact that the old windshield was already removed. He told me that the scratch was about two inches long, superficial, and over the rear-view mirror so I wouldn't really see it. He would only agree to take approx. $60.00 off of the price. I didn't like it but I agreed. When I picked the car up, the scratch was directly over the driver's view out of the windshield and about eight inches long. I was pretty irritated, but again thought well this is the cost of a road trip sometimes - things happen. Then, I encountered the cashier. First, she quoted me the original price with no discount - clearly there was no internal communication at this branch whatsoever. I informed her of the scratch and she wasted my time trying to figure out what to do. I stood there trying to be compassionate - not her fault that no one told her. Then, after about 10 minutes, she finally came up with a flat $300.00 charge. I agreed, and then my temper finally boiled over when she made a statement of what a magnanimous discount this was, and told me that it was about a "61% discount." I could no longer contain my irritation. I informed her that a 61% discount would have been around $200. She argued with me some nonesense about the price of the glass blah, blah, blah... When I continued to make a point about what the savings actually amounted to she said, "Well, I don't bother myself with all of that." So, the cashier can't be bothered by math, the superviser has no clue why he makes calls, the receptionist can't answer basic questions, and finally (I didn't notice this one until I got in my car to drive away), the installers left black fingerprints all over the inside of my light gray liner and in one small spot left the liner peeled back. Nobody at this place, as far as I can tell, knows how to do their jobs. read more

They replaced my whole windshield about a week ago and did an excellent job. The technician arrived within the two hour window I was given and did a quick and thorough windshield replacement, took him about 45 minutes. 5 stars for being able to remove my registration and ez-tag stickers without any damage whatsoever and apply them to the new windshield!! Recently I caught a rock in my windshield. So frustrating, I wasn't even in busy Houston at the time. When I showed it to the H, he said we should get it fixed at Binswanger. I didn't know they did that. I thought we would have to go to the car dealership and have the whole thing replaced. We chose this location just based on the fact that we had other errands to do in the same area. I'm glad we did. The ladies there were really helpful. I wasnt aware we could claim it on insurance since it was less than our deductible. They called and got it all taken care of. The tech who filled the crack did a great job. It was a pretty bad hit, and you can't even see it from the outside. From the inside, it is barely noticeable. On a side note, ladies, the restroom is very clean. They don't let the men mess it up. read more

I used to love this establishment and could always count on excellent service..Till( bah bah bum) I went three weeks ago to get a window chip fixed mind you I have been here two other times and had no complaints but for 70.00 dollars I expected a little more gratitude and maybe recognition. I went today to show them that the work they did was insufficient the crack started running and is now all across my windshield. I asked for a solution then a refund on the services rendered. They would only credit it towards a brand new windshield For 588 bucks. No way Jose!! I wouldn't be in this mess if your guy was well taught in his craft or if he felt it wasn't fixable let me know before spending my hard earned money now I'm out more money and won't get a refund! But momma didn't raise a fool I shopped around as soon as I got in the car thanks to Apollo body shop I now will get a brand new windshield for a 3rd of the cost. read more
