Yesterday visited the Binswanger store on Cypress Creek Parkway. I had a problem with a shower door repair and just had a question. The two gentleman in the store were so kind. They took the time to explain how to make the repair and offered the supplies I needed to make the repair. I intend to give them any and all future business I have and to make sure all of my friends are made aware of this. I had a "whole house glass change out" project completed with this Binswanger Office and I'm super satisfied. I had 1989 vintage builder grade dual pane insulated glass units that had failed seals from many years back and the view out of them was intolerable. I did not want to reinstall dual pane glass in our existing frames however I did want to install 1/4" thick single panes of commercial quality with very good reflective, tinted and energy performance characteristics. I had done this in my previous home, loved the result but was missing it. After at least 5 years of on/off searching for a company to just provide me a quotation to do this, I tried Binswanger. They never once questioned what I was trying to achieve (everyone else did) and worked hand in hand with me to achieve a fantastic result. They were exactly what I wanted in a service company, never tried to upsell me, were communicative, responsive, timely and all at a fair price. I now have single pane glass that is quiet, private, super clear and has no seals to fail and the new glass will NEVER require replacing (unless broken of, course). Looking out of my forest bound home now is like looking through the finest pair of sunglasses you have ever experienced. I received the best personal service, follow up, and follow through from Homer and the District Manager Jacque and could not be happier with the entire experience. UPDATE: The Binswanger Glass came out and fix the door after reading our review. Thank you for standing behind your work. The shower door was fixed and there is no longer a leak. The guy that came out did a fantastic job. The only thing I suggest is not sending a worker out to look at my shower door for 45 minutes and finally say ..."I don't know what's wrong with it." Had to get glass replaced after hours very very expensive company to use. Then they charged my credit card more than they quoted me and never returned the difference nor would they return my calls. Look elsewhere if you need glass replaced! read more

The glass cutter guy works fast and did the job professionally while we wait. Bathroom glass looks like new again. Highly recommended.

Went in person to get a quote for a 2004 MAZDA MPV minivan. Person at front desk did not seem interested in the job. He did call his shops to check if they had glass in stock. He found out they did not and said,"That's a dealer order." That was basically the end of the conversation. No solutions or suggestions. At least another place in austin actually offered to order the glass and do it. Incredible... Just incredible how some places stay open. read more

Did a great job cutting out a piece of glass for my shabby-chic table top. Vintage table that someone had painted white and had decoupaged sheet music pages on top. It was a curved piece table; glass was cut and fitted perfectly. Very professional personnel and service; friendly folks. Wouldn't hesitate to go back for any services that I may need. Did good work (and a little extra). Our dog got excited at a passing critter and punched out one of the panes of glass in our front windows (the second time she's done it). So we called Binswanger, who replaced the bottom 4 panes with tempered glass (like automobile windows). If you want complete and utter incompetence, this is the company to call. They do not communicate AT ALL!!! They failed to replace my windshield while it was at the dealership (as agreed to), then 3 days later after I'd already picked up my car with a "still broken windshield", the driver called and asked me where the dealership was located. I mean really...these folks are 3 kliks past dumbass. The only reason I didn't change to another service is because they were contracted by my fleet services. But if I have a choice, I will never ever ever never ever never ever ever deal with these idiots again. read more

I recently had my windshield replaced at the FM 1960 West location. The windshield appears to have been installed properly but the customer experience was not pleasant. The front desk personnel were satisfactory but the installer was very rude. I was told the installation would take about an hour. After 1.5 hours no one approached me to explain the delay. I went around back to ask the installer if he knew how much longer it would take. He did not offer an answer but just gave me a strange "I don't know" gesture. My insurance company recommended Binswanger and I am sure they are competent. I would recommend you use a different location. read more
