This is a warning to future homeowners looking for new doors: We don't want you to make the same mistakes that we made by selecting Castle Doors as your door contractor. Chapter: 3 It is now mid-October of 2025, when I noticed the caulking that was applied in April of 2025, began to fail. On October 23, 2025, photographs were taken and sent via email to both the Owner and the Operations Manager for their assessment. There was no response from Castle Door regarding this matter. On October 28, 2025, I telephoned Castle Doors and spoke with the Operations Manager regarding the correspondence that was sent on October 23, 2025. I was informed that they didn't receive my correspondence on October 23, 2025. During our brief telephone conversation, the Operations Manager stated that he would need to research this and get back to me. Later that afternoon, I received a response from the Operations Manager informing me that this is a normal condition, that this was an aesthetic issue. I indicated that this is not normal and that his response was not acceptable. He agreed to research this further and get back to me. On October 31, 2025, I telephoned their Operation Manager for an update. Again, I was told this condition was normal. I informed him that the door assembly and trim in place prior to Castle Doors installation was painted black in 2016 and there no issues with either the caulking or paint. I sent an email to both the Owner and Operations Manager requesting that Castle Doors provide me with the product name and product number for the caulking and paint that was used. I received an email from the Owner indicating the paint is peeling off the caulking. He indicated they were willing to address this issue by using new black caulking, which will not be painted. I was also informed that anything painted black with full sun exposure was going to be problematic. On November 10, 2025, email correspondence was sent to the Owner of Castle Doors stating that as a professional, this should have been addressed prior to caulking and painting. It amazes me that this determination could be made by looking at photos and not performing a site visit. They indicated that they are willing to address this issue by using new black caulk, without paint. But did not provide the process of how this repair was to be made. In this email, I asked for the following items to be addressed: 1. Have a Sherwin-Williams representative perform a visit the site and examine the caulking and paint and provide a method of repair. 2. Provide both the product names and product numbers for the caulking and paint used. 3. Provide me with a current Certificate of Insurance from Castle Doors prior to any work being performed. On December 8, 2025, email correspondence was issued to the Owner of Castle Doors stating that it had been weeks since my last email requesting Castle Doors repair method for the caulking/paint issues that have occurred on our entry doors, as well as a current Certificate of Insurance from Castle Doors. I asked them to provide this documentation ASAP, so that this work could be scheduled and corrected. A response was provided by the Owner indicating that in his email dated October 31, 2025, requesting confirmation that we wanted Castle Door to proceed with new black caulking. "If you want Castle Doors to proceed, we will schedule this work when we can, making sure the weather is appropriate for caulking". Correspondence was resent asking that Castle Doors provide me with the documentation requested. Upon reviewing the repair method and your Certificate of Insurance, we would be able to schedule this repair using the black caulking. The Owner responded within four minutes of my request stating that "we did not require insurance documentation when Castle Doors installed these doors, so we will not provide that information now". If you choose to use this company, please be sure to get a current certificate of insurance. I asked the owner how he intended to remove what was currently in place and rectify it with new black caulking. Castle Doors response was "there's not much explanation to give". We will use hand tools to remove the existing caulking, and then apply the new, black caulking. I asked that Castle Doors schedule this work ASAP. On December 10, 2025, I received correspondence from Castle Doors stating that it would likely have to be after the first of the year, as we will need it to be a day with temperatures over 50 degrees. Castle Door's = QUALITY!! We recently moved into a new construction home where we "thought" our office space would have French doors. After a bunch of back and forth with the builder (D.R. Horton), we were not able to get the French doors. To make matters further complicated, the size of the door opening was very unique and would require customized door. I started with Home Depot but unfortunately, they do not do customized doors. Home Depot only provides doors with "common" measurements. So after a few days of researching online and calling local companies, I found Castle Doors & More. From the beginning I was very impressed with attention to detail and suggestions/support received from the sales rep. I will admit I found cheaper deals from other places, but the first impression and reviews on Google had me sold. The crew came in and custom made our French doors right in our drive-way and we also opted to replace our front door with something more contemporary. For two doors/labor it costs $6,000 (as of 2.7.24). The attention to detail was second to none and only took a crew of two, 4 1/2 hours. Here's a pro/con list from my experience: Pro's: 1) Detail - From the sales rep to the install crew, these employees truly know what they're doing (hence the support for the price). This was the first time we've done any remolding to our home, so we were very nervous of the outcome/process. Luckily, Castle Door's held our hands every step of the way, lol. 2) Communications - From ordering the necessary products to installation date, we were always informed and never had to reach out for updates. Castle doors was very proactive!! 3) Quality - I chose to not write a review until right off the bat, so I could "test" the doors over time and ensure I wasn't writing a premature review. Our doors still operate as if they were freshly installed yesterday. Especially our front door, 8 months later and there still isn't any light coming through from the bottom/top/sides of the weather stripping. I couldn't be happier!! 4) Payment Convenience - Invoices/payments were seamless. They utilize a QuickBooks platform to issues invoices and receive payments. I personally like this feature, because you're able to click on the link in your email and pay. No need to write a check or anything along those lines. Con: 1) Price - Everyone is always looking for the best bang for your buck and unfortunately, Castle Doors does not meet that definition. Again, I found several companies in the immediate area that would do the same work for 2-3k less. However, the quality/detail provided overrides the price (in my opinion). I pride myself in writing HONEST reviews and price was truly the only con we experienced with Castle Doors. If you're thinking about replacing a front/back door or want to install custom doors in a office, I highly recommend Castle Doors & More. read more

After more than 4 months of waiting on our custom doors, that were estimated to take 6 weeks, they came to install and they didn't come close to fitting. Absolutely amazing experience -- from the time we entered the door through the installation process. We actually came across this place by accident. We setup a time to meet with another door company near Castle Doors, but the other place was closed and doors locked when we arrived. So, I did a quick Google and Yelp search, and I came across Castle Doors & More. We drove quite a ways from inside the loop, so we definitely wanted to go have a look at Castle. The staff at the office was very helpful, informative, and not pushy at all. Tom, the owner, assisted us once we had a chance to look around and flip through the catalogue. We went through the design process that afternoon -- Tom was able to put some door designs over a picture of our house to help us envision the look of the doors. Once we'd made a decision on the type of door, we setup a time for Tom to come out and take measurements and give us a final estimate. He arrived on-time and was very thorough. Next up was getting CAD drawings of the door designs, and providing final approvals for fabrication. The doors were delivered and installed in the time frame promised -- and we are blown away by the quality of the doors and the install. One of the iron doors did have a tiny scratch on it, but they sent some one out promptly to fix that -- and it's perfect. A mark of a great company is how they handle issues when they occur, and Castle Doors couldn't have handled it better. The installation took an entire day, but the quality of work was beyond my expectations. The crew carefully removed the interior trim that was to be reused, and cleaned everything up as they worked. Everything came together so good that we don't have to repaint any of the trim. The install was spotless. I had my contractor come by to have a look, and he even commented on how good of a job Castle did. Extremely happy with the work, and very thankful that we came by Tom and Castle Doors. read more

Five Stars all the way. We needed a new front door and I had an idea in my mind what I wanted. Well, Tom talked me out of that thought through the process. He understood what I was looking for and very carefully steered me in a much better direction. I have truly upgraded my hime with the perfect door. The whole process was in-depth but enjoyable. I left his show-room happy and excited for my new door. 3 weeks later it was installed and looks better than I could have imagined. Price? Way lower than I expected. I was looking for a new front door and went to a place off of I 10 and the beltway where they make custom doors. Their service kind of put me off so I looked elsewhere. Thank goodness I found Castle Doors. My first experience or encounter with them was Harmony. She knows what she's doing and she runs the show. Tom is the owner and he helped design and is very informative and knowledgeable. I cannot say enough good things about their communication and they're openness to find out what I wanted and not what they think I wanted. I really hate to rate businesses low, but the rudeness by the "owner" and his lady helper was just unbelievable. We are Harvey victims and looking for a new entry door. When we asked if they had contractor pricing the lady helper said "we have pricing". We looked at her sort of perplexed and asked the question again which got the same reply. The owner came out and he was equally rude. Honestly it seemed like maybe we interrupted a "lovers quarrel" or something. It was just so odd to be treated so rudely. We actually cracked up laughing when we got back in the car because of the incredibly bizarre treatment. It was so weird, it wasn't even insulting. I would never recommend this place, as a matter of fact I would suggest you drive past and go Door Masters of Texas who were very helpful. read more

We stumbled across this place just by internet searching and we were sssooo pleased with Tom's level of service and expertise. Hubby and I were not exactly on the same page in terms of our tastes and vision for our new front door but Tom was able to efficiently and effectively ask questions to then guide us to a perfect solution. He's incredibly helpful without being a pushy salesman. He visited our home that same day, assessed our needs and was actually able to save us some money by not selling us door framing materials we didn't need. I walked in on a Tuesday morning. I knew what I wanted and thought I would be in and out quickly. I wanted a professional door company with professional installers. I feared who Home Depot or Lowes would send out to change out my back door. I investigated all door possibilities and companies. I settled on Castle Door in Spring, since they were close to my house. Harmony did not get the information entered into the computer correctly and had to fix the information twice. Tom showed up to measure the door same afternoon. He measured it wrong and pointed out that Harmony still had not captured the correct door know and lock. He only measured the top and bottom of the door. At those points the door jam was 32 inches. Unfortunately for me the middle of the door was 31.75 inches. I was told when I purchased the door that it would take a few weeks to come in. To me that implies 2-3 weeks. It took 6 weeks for the door to arrive. If Darlene had not called me that Monday, I had every intention when I got home from work that day to cancel the order and fire this company. It took 5 tries to correctly schedule the installation. I gave several days of availability and was told I would be called back in 5 minutes. 4 hours later I received the call and was given a date and time. The next day, I was told it were not available on the agreed upon day and time. Reschedule again. Finally the day arrived for installation. The guys showed up on the backside of the estimated time allotted for them to arrive. They showed up in a box van that was leaking brake fluid so badly that it was smoking on my driveway. They unpacked and began to remove the old door, flashing, and weather stripping. Then the measurements began. They spoke to each other furiously in Spanish. Not an issue but they don't know that I also speak enough Spanish to understand what they were talking about. They didn't think they would be able to install the door because it wasn't measured correctly to begin with. They had to make a considerable amount of adjustments to the door, my jam and remove the trim (which I was assured by Tom that it wouldn't be necessary). They did not have a broom or dust pan to clean up their mess and asked me to provide this. They also did not have a wet/dry vacuum to clean their mess from my carpet or areas where the broom and dust pan were useless. In addition to that, they forgot to bring the deadbolt lock. Instead of sending someone from the shop to deliver it, they chose to drive back themselves to pick it up. This added an additional hour to their completion time. What should have been a fairly quick installation took 4 hours to complete. Where most of the time there was not a door on the house and I evidently am responsible to air condition the neighborhood. They did not clean the window on the door. The removed several stickers but left the sticky part behind for me to scrape off with a razor blade. Then I had to use Windex and scrub the glass clean. They left ugly fingerprints on both the inside and outside of the door. The door itself looks to be shoddily put together. It is a composite (fiberglass) with a half light window with miniblinds in between the panes of glass. Whoever covered the holes for screws on the inside of the door did a horrible job of covering the holes with caulk. they used their finger and left scallops on every one of the holes. Looks like SHIT. Also, there are cracks in the trim in the window itself. Looks like the piece was broken and they used it anyway. I also asked for the security plate to be installed. They must have forgotten that too. While they did use my provided broom and dustpan, the clean up post work completed, was mediocre. This job was wrong from the beginning and ended wrong. If I could give 0 Stars I would. I am so disappointed with the result, I will never recommend this company to be hired. read more

Tom, the owner, genuinely wanted to help us get the best door for our home and kept us informed all the way. Brian, the finisher, even came to our house to ensure that his staining was the right color to match our interior trim. And, Mario, did a first rate job of installing the doors. He spent a substantial amount of time with my husband and me in selecting the perfect doors.
