Always a very quick experience and everyone is always extremely friendly. I've donated around 10 or 11 times now. Always been a breeze :)

They find any and every reason to tell someone they can't donate. For two months straight told me I couldn't "because my veins were to small" So I went to another center where they had no problems no issues with sticking me and getting it right the first time. In addition we live in hour to an hour and a half with traffic from the center they don't think twice about sending people home if their "blood" is not perfect in every way they have the strictest guidelines of any donation center we have ever been to they find reasons not to let you donate and screw up your schedule during the week so that you have to keep coming back on different days. They don't deserve your business in my opinion there are much better centers than bio life. read more

This place is fair in what they pay you to donate plasma but their check-in system is broken. Plan on spending at least 3 hours if you come here. That's a minimum. Once you finally get in the front door after waiting outside in the heat for god knows how long because there is no room inside to wait as the check-in area is just inside the door so only a couple of people can wait inside and after you get past that, you go to a computer to answer some questions and pray you answer all of them correctly because if you don't, you will have to talk to a nurse which could take another half hour to 45 minutes and after that the really long wait starts where you get screened to make sure your blood pressure, weight, etc are at healthy levels and they do not have near enough employees doing the screenings. There were about 30 to 40 people waiting to get screened and 2 employees doing the screening. Seriously? Hire more people. Once you get past that, you don't have to wait long to get a donation chair and the actual donation part takes about 1.5 hours. Most of the staff is friendly. read more

I came a little late to my appointment and so they gave me a pager to wait in the waiting room and hours later i realize everyone whos been waiting in the room after i have has started getting help and i go to the front to figure out whats going on and they try and tell me i wrote my pager number and she shows me it and i didnt because it was not the way i wrote my numbers and she tried to tell me i wrote that and the pager number i had was 47 and they wrote down 23 so i was waiting for no reason and they were just never going to call me .. its honeslty just that one lady shes a bitch and works at the front fix this lmao read more

This place is garbage. Totally unprofessional, nobody has a clue what they're doing. I waited an hour and a half in the waiting room and was told it would be a bit longer until I explained this was the second time this happened. I was then passed around for another 30-45 minutes and assured by 3 staff members that my completion of the questionnaire on my first visit was sufficient to go wait for the physical. That 'doctor'(?) then said I had to retake the questionnaire before we could proceed with the physical, at which point I walked out. I explained my frustration to her first but she could've very obviously cared less. So don't bother giving your time and body to this place, it's stinks. Total garbage. read more

I think the bio life location on good homes rd in Orlando FL supervisors aren't fair because I was denied to donate plasma after my 4th straight visit of donating, because they said I need to donate with both arms and they couldn't find a visible vein on my other arm, which i had a visible vein, I wouldn't recommend bio life on good homes rd in Orlando read more

This is happen frequently. 6:00am a long line outside (because people respect their appointment time) and nobody is ready to work.

These people were amazing! It did take some time to finally start to donate but that was due to paperwork. Everyone there was great so I have no idea what the bad reviews are about. I even had an issue getting lightheaded and they were very helpful with making sure I was okay. Definitely suggest this place. read more

It cost zero dollars to treat people with respect. You're treated like an animal in here. Out of all the places that i have donated plasma to this is the only one that is incredibly slow and if they bruise your arm they don't care. Absolutely incredible staff! I can't believe how wonderful my visits have been. I have donated twice/week since Nov 11, 2017. Fantastic! Have sent lots of friends & family to them. The Buddy Bonus of $100 per qualifying referral has been a bank account builder. I challenge everyone to get at least 10 per month! I wish there was a 10-star to rate these guys!!! read more

theres a line of more than 30 minutes to get checked in, then there's another line of over 30 minutes to get your vital after that there's a third line to get a seat to be able to donate in total you will be in the plasma center at least 4 hours. The place is so packed and high risk of getting COVID I don't understand how they don't care about the donors and are over taking patients to max or over capacity. This is very alarming. This is the absolute worst place to go! Avoid it ! It's been a nightmare. I'm a very hard person to get plasma due to my small veins. I was upfront and told everyone that each and every time. After 3 failed attempts the one person who was successful ( she did it in under 5 seconds) was asked for each time. The staff and manager told me to ask specifically for her. The next 3 times she was able to do it no problem; full donation. The next time suddenly they say she's " busy". I said I'd wait. After 45 minutes another "floater" came up , Maria. She insisted she do it. Well - this so called "experienced" person infiltrated my vein. I told her immediately it was hurting. She IGNORED me and made an excuse that it's normal. After 3/4 of my donation it was excruciating. I made them stop, my entire arm had swelled up to my bicep area. The person Maria then tells me I have a " hemotomia ". I've never experienced this before and had no idea what it is. Well - it took 6 WEEKS and HORRIBLE BRUISES AND SWELLING- 2 trips to the ER, loss of 4 days of work! I cannot ever explain to you how awful this place is. RUN! read more

I was a new donor going through screening, and was denied. The reason is because I use medical marijuana and I'm taking meds that are no where near dangerous, and definitely not serious. I have everything prescribed by to me by a doctor. I've donated to 3 other plasma centers before, and I have NEVER had an issue. They should have told me this BEFORE I WAITED AN 1.5 HRS! I've never been turned away at any donation center. Corporate office employees, or rule makers, have to be Neanderthals to still think that effects the donation process. Get with it BioLife. Times have changed. Your discriminatory profiling of a disabled person is absurd, and absolutely ridiculous! I will never go back! Even if I didn't have to take medication. read more

Anyone on this site with a good comment is a liar, I know 5 people who go to this place, most out of necessity others to just donate. This place is unprofessional they treat you like trash just for donating instead of being appreciative that these people go to waste 2 hours of there life on line like a meat shop, because this is how long there process takes to get you to donate. Now that's the first issue, next is I don't know if the phlebotomists are certified oR have gone to any schooling but no one know how to place a catheter In your arm to donate and if they are recent grads an instructor should be present and they should ask if your ok with them teaching on your body if that's the case if not they are just sending anyone to try and put a needle in you once they blow your vein they do not take responsibility for what they have done to you. They do not let you donate if your vein is not up to par how would it be if physiologically they are inserting a needle incorrectly in your arm and moving around of coarse they are going to do damage to your vein. They don't know what they are doing this place should not be a place of business anyone who complains does not get compensated or anything for there mistakes. Donating takes a toll on your body everyone I know has bruises, feel weak and all around don't have a good experience after donating this is not the experience a donation place should offer, if they take too much plasma from you they give you a Gatorade and cookies they only pay $20 first visit and $50 next visit you have to stick to certain days they allow I have never heard of a place like this they are more for making money off of the plasma they sell cause I'm sure they don't donate it to places in need it's all a business off of the less fortunate. I have never donated nor will I ever for this reason because anything done in kindness or of need is taken advantage of and I hope others stand up and tell they truth of this horrible place and tell there experience what they should have is the news come to this place and private journalists to see what it's really like how they treat people and what they do to people of the neighborhood and community. read more

Started donating plasma, then be ame a platinum donor where you make 120 a week, somehow everytime I was supposed to get my 90.00 my protein was to low. I believe its a scam job. Always got the 30.00. read more

I'll never go back to that place ... the reception can't be worse, they always find a way to make you miss a trip even after you are already a donor. They treat you as if you are an interest only in money, because it doesn't seem like a call yesterday to help people with our plasma. I went yesterday and my iron was high to donate, I was asked to return today at the same time without an appointment, I returned and even confirming the information with the person I met yesterday, the receptionist did not want to answer me, it was still difficult to go and ask the person who asked me answered yesterday if she had asked me to come back today without an appointment, but she just didn't want to answer me. The donation itself is professional, but the reception is absurdly disrespectful, they think that going to Biolife is easy, it doesn't take our time, it doesn't waste our fuel ... it was a struggle to donate the first time and I see that even after donating the the first time they remain inflexible in everything with the patient. I was asked by friends to donate plasma to help others in need, so I visit Casselberry site in person. At the facility I was told I need a government ID, social security card, and proof of residency (utility bill, etc.). So, I asked why they needed the social security card and was told to verify my identity. Since SSANs are used for ID theft I asked if any other ID was acceptable and I was told that a passport would be acceptable. So, I made an appointment for a couple weeks later as there was no time slots open. Came back with my DL, Passport, and proof of residency. I was told that they needed the social security card. I spoke with the manager and told them that I specifically asked about this and was told that passport would be an acceptable substitute for social security card. Was given a bunch of lame excuses why an actual social security card was needed to verify my ID. They don't realize that a social security card is one of the easiest documents to forge. After a few weeks I was encouraged to try again, so I go online and create a profile, and set an appointment. I show up with my DL, social security card (reluctantly), and power bill as proof of residency. (I was told that I did not need the power bill.) I get past the first hurdle. As I am completing the computer-based questions I noticed that one of the questions indicates that I needed a government issued ID to verify that I am who I say that I am (social security card, passport, and several others). OK, so they can't even be consistent, but at least I am past the front door. One of the questions they ask is whether I have ever had surgery. OK, almost everyone has, so the answer was yes. After going through 90 more minutes of questions and tests, I am to the point where the "nurse" is screening me. The nurse asks "What kind of surgery?" and I answer. This type of surgery caused the nurse to require me to get a doctor's release to donate plasma as a "safety precaution" to me. (None of the questions on the doctor's form have anything to do with my safety and are obviously targeted towards CYA on the part of the facility, even though the type of surgery has absolutely nothing to do with plasma - and they even admitted that!) So, all told I have wasted 4 hours on site, travel time, gasoline, and put up with a bunch of lame excuses and stupid reasons only to be "deferred" for a second time. All of the issues could have been posted on their web site and clearly explained, saving me lots of time and aggravation, as well as listening to their stupid lame excuses and reasons. Given the relatively small compensation, I could get a job at McD's for more money. If this is the level of professionalism and skill involved, then this place would not qualify as an acceptable place for my safety. I am now permanently "deferring" this place. I will donate elsewhere, where I feel more safe and well treated. read more
