I was the only one donating at the time (this locations is not nearly as busy as the Arlington locstion) and walked right into the prep room. My vitals were taken, and I was introduced to Larry. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Easy peasy.

There is NO REASON to remove the lobby chairs for people to sit down to wait to donate. They say it is faster. NO IT IS NOT. Sitting down versus standing up has no affect on how fast they screen and process you. The speed of the procedure has everything to do with how many techs working and how many people show up at the same time. Removing the chairs has caused me to alter the manner in which I donate... I WILL NOT STAND IN LINE TO DONATE... Instead I will be the last person at night at the time of closing to ensure that I do not have to wait and that the center will have to stay open longer. Return donors are being treated worse than new donars and we are THE LIFE BLOOD OF THE CENTER. DONORS ARE PARTNERS NOT CATTLE! RETURN THE CHAIRS..

You can tell that the women there hate to do their job. when your machine is green and ready, a lot of the women will have a full on conversation while you're finish and ready to go. The women are more concerned with gossiping than doing their job. they really need to be trained on good customer service and how to interact with people in dealing with issues that they're not accustomed to. Today a white girl actually sat a person before me because she was too busy chatting with the guy and didn't care I was in line first. I got seen by the nurse for the physical only took 10 minutes after that I went to the donors floor to donate, and it only took me 38 minutes to donate in. All customer service was good. There was no long lines the tech was nice. The service was very quick for my time of being there. The facility was clean and our refer anybody if they want to help save a life to go to that plasma center to donate plasma thank you.
