Oh lord I have a lot of concerns for a few nurses. Some nurses are SUPER nice but there's a few that make me question their eligibility to work. One male nurse kept making constant jokes and goofing around towards the other female nurses WHILE THEY WERE WORKING ON PATIENTS. I get people need to have fun and enjoy their work, but there's a time and place for all that. Lastly there was a nurse who was taking care of me that kept pushing buttons and was looking visibly frustrated with the machine that takes your blood. This same nurse was the one that left me with a pretty bruise because she injected too far or not far enough in my vein. read more

Very unhappy with this center? Had to take off for couple of months do to overtime at my primary job. Decided to go back yesterday. Was excited to try out their new machines, The sense or urgency is way down. Seems like the workers just walk around and do their own thing. Was supposed to be next, but the only person doing the screenings decided to walk off? After 15 minutes some finally acknowledged me and did my screening. Then I was directed to stand in line, I had already been there an hour. So to make a long story short , after waiting an additional half hour with the line not moving I left. Very disappointed. They take forever! It's already a 45 minute wait in line for the physical. Then you'll have to wait another 30 minutes in line to donate. Then after you're finished donating you have wait an additionial 30 minutes just to go home while employees are standing around, socializing when they could be doing their job! HORRIBLE. read more

Wish I would have read reviews before going. The nurse that worked on 7/14/24 lacks accountability. I was told after waiting 45 min for my scheduled appt to see nurse after checking the they saw a bruise that was left after last donation. The nurse barely looked at me and never made eye contact with me. Cleared me for donation without asking any questions. So I went to donate and the phlebotomist who was too hook me up pushed on the bruise and asked me if it hurt, duh when u push on it. So I was told I could use other arm. Then another nurse came and said I could not donate cause they need both arms. Get your stories straight. Three hours of my time was wasted on this ordeal. Also the incentive coupons are a joke as the facility is only open six days a week. I was told by these gentrified nurses to drive to greenwood the next day, which does not help me with the incentive plan. It is bad enough I lost money (gas and incentive) driving to this facility to drive to an even further site. So there is no way to recoup as there is a time frame for donations. Most phlebotomists are prima Donna's who think they are on a higher plane of existence. Tried to black ball me because I stood up for my rights as all humans have the right to do. Human nature made them lie about my line of questioning and said that I said the phlebotomist need more training Now I am saying it, they need to realize this assembly line involves humans who put their trust in ill mannered people. Pretty sure I will be black balled now and don't care just hope this message helps others in their decision to patron this particular facility. The only person in the facility that cares about the human they are dealing with is the gentleman nurse, which I don't know his name. He is the only person that will treat us with the common courtesy dictated for this job. Kudos to him. The rest need to be reevaluated for lack of accountability,common courtesy, unwillingness to provide correct information and keeping their emotions in check when questioned. read more

There is no need for scheduling an appointment here. Appointments & reserved time slots are not adhered to or prioritized. You will wait regardless of how early or late you book your appointment(s). 90 minutes of standing in a line to only move 1-3 spaces (if you're lucky). Based on the time spent waiting in line, I will now be 2 hours in line without even beginning the vitals let alone the donation process. It's absolutely insane to think you have to wait 3+ hours even with an reserved appointment. Showing up early won't do you justice either, you'll wait just like everyone else. read more

This BioLife opened fairly recently. I was among some of the first donors earning the title of Platinum Donor. I thought it was a bit of rocky start with wait times in particular. The very first visit is quite lengthy probably 2-3 hours. Be prepared with your medical history and medications. Once I got over that hurdle, and finding the days that worked best for me; things started to run more smoothly. The normal pay is $20 for the first donation in the week and $50 for the second. HOWEVER, and it's a big however, they generally have promotions going. The best I have received to date was $200 each for 3 visits. My normal in and out the door time is 1.5 hours. My last few visits have been an hour. The money I have made with donations has helped me tremendously to ease the burdens of the costly world we live in. It also helps many people who need the plasma. I highly recommend BioLife if you could use a bit of extra money and help others at the same time. read more

Most nurses are rude and don't consider your time is important is theirs. They take forever to unhook you from the machine. After donating a couple times after getting paid $80 to $100 they bumped it down to 40. So now you have to wait two and a half hours to get 40 bucks when they promise you 80 to 100. read more

You will get a survey after you first donation. Do not complete it until you have donated a time or two afterwards. You receive ok care your first visit then after that you will see a difference in customer service. I work so I made an appointment for the last time of the day. The door was shut in my face when I arrived 5 minutes late. When I have come before and waited over 2 and would have waited ever longer one time if I decided to stay being I needed to leave because I had something to do. Most of the technicians seem to be stressed probably due to be over overworked. I feel like that treat the donors like we need the money more than why we are here in the first place. There are a few nice staff members. However, lots of donors have been spoken to in a derisive manner, blamed for technician mistakes, and made to wait for astronomical amounts of time. Machines are constantly malfunctioning and donors hooked up to them have no choice but to wait for long periods of time just to have someone help them. Hematoma injuries occur, and the technicians creating them will tell the donor that it's their fault, versus taking responsibility. Some who report injuries are accused of mental incompetence. I used to be able to get in and out in here about an hour and fifteen minutes (appointment time to walking out the door). It then went to an hour and a half, then two hours, but my last three donations have been over three hours. My appointment today was at 12:10, and not even stuck until 2:20. Out the door at 3:50. So yeah, OVER THREE AND A HALF HOURS to donate today. They just won't stop taking appointments when they are backed up, instead just let everyone pile up, get fed up, and those that don't absolutely need the money leave. Made an appointment and was literally the first person to walk into the door. I have been going to CLS for awhile and for the initial visit, physical and a plasma donation all in the same day it took less than two hours. I was at this center for three hours and not only do I have to retake the physical (another 3 hours of my time I won't be compensated for) because I had a stuffy nose I also didn't get to donate because I was having my "seasonal allergy symptoms". I also understand that this center just opened a couple weeks ago but more than half of the staff had no clue what they were doing. This is probably why things were so disorganized and I had to waste three hours of my workday for absolutely nothing. I very much value my time and I probably will not be going back. read more

You might as well do first come first serve because your appointment may be for 3 and you won't be seen until 6. The actual procedure is not what takes the longest. The employees are working hard, but there are not enough of them. The wait time is usually a couple hours until they get your vitals, then another 30 minutes to get you started in the donation process, then 45-75 minutes to donate. It was worth it the first month when I got paid $100 per donation, but now the donations payments have dropped dramatically and the wait times have not. It is not worth my time. I want to help people, but they are understaffed and overbooked. The facility is clean, but the process really needs to be re-evaluated. Like many people my age, I don't have the biggest rainy day fund to go on much needed vacations, so I decided to give Plasma donation a try. I am a long time blood and platelet donor, so I thought the combination of donating and getting paid for it would be a win-win. I started going to this BioLife location in Dec 2022; however, the disorganization, long wait times, and seemingly constant new rules/restrictions made continuing to be a donor here not worth it. Regardless of having an appointment slot, there is always a very long line for getting your vitals and blood levels checked. I have waited up to an hour and a half for this portion of the donation process alone! After that, it's another waiting game until there is a bed open for the actual donation procedure. I would have to budget at least 3 hours every time I went to donate. I think that part of the issue is that they do not have adequate staffing for the number of donors they attempt to get through in a day. For example, there is only one staff member doing vitals, and half of the beds in the facility are not in use because there are not enough phlebotomists to man them. The only reason I stuck with it for the better part of December was due to the new donor bonus for the first month. Otherwise, the regular donation payment would not be worth it. The staff members are overall kind and pleasant, but I can sense their stress and frustration. read more

This is a nice location. The staff is nice and the phlebotomist are helpful. However in my opinion it is not worth the 40 or $45 for each donation for an hour and a half of extracting my plasma. If anyone reads this review, please be advised that it takes an hour and 10 to an hour and 30 minutes to go through the process. But if you've never donated plasma before, you will have to go Through a 2 to 3 hour physical and jump through The hoops in order to donate plasma. After your first promotional month is completed the pay for each donation decreases drastically. In my opinion it's not worth going to donate your own plasma for $30 each time. read more

A bit frustrated with this place. I donated before here and it was fine. Their locatations are too far out so I stopped going. I had a family member so through something and plasma was a very important part of their recovery so I felt compelled to give again. I went back. 1st time I was late and they couldnt see me (althought they were NOT running on time) 2nd time I went back I couldnt be seen because I was 2 months post surgery. Unbeknowst to me I have to be at least 4 month. Someone was supposed to contact me to set up an appointment for when I can come back. This has yet to happen. No one EVER answers their phone and their so called "contact us" no one responds to those request either. I am dissappointed in their response timing and lack of courtesy of others time and gas!! I wont be back, there are too many other options available and closer. read more

New donors can come in and go through the entire process in less time than the regular donors can WITH an appointment.. and then get stacked up in the front of the line.. and it's only getting worse with every appointment I make.. if you have anything at all to do the day you make an appointment forget it. Appointments mean NOTHING!! I'm in line now at 1pm.. my appointment was at 10am!! 3 hours have passed and the line hasn't moved at all!! Not only is the amount of time you have to spend to donate not worth it but the compensation for your plasma and your time goes down monthly.. This will be the last time I donate for this place. They care nothing about the donors or anything we have to say. They offer nothing at all for their incompetence and the waste of your entire day for the $20 I'll get. It opened its doors at 9am and my appointment was for 9:30am and I'm given an alarm and told to wait in my car because it will be at least 20 minutes before they get to me. There was one person allowed to do their questions and four people waiting . What the heck is wrong with this place? You watch the techs in front and they will only allow one to two people to do their questions at a time. If there is such a constant shortage of workers then please readjust your appointment times. 0/10. Staff and process was so slow and unorganized. As if they didn't have a supervisor there to guide shifts and make it run smoother. First takes 1.5 to get back there... Just to do the screening process. Then they sit six of us back and a bay. Lady in next bay was by herself so she leaves us all alone and not stuck with anything yet for 30 min. I saw something like anyway we can get someone over here. So we can get started? The staff starts taking about how I'm being impatient and telling the donor who 3 people was working on, that I was talking about her. When I was just needing to be stuck because we have already been waiting two hrs. Might as well get started donating. My issue is I worked at a plasma center before. There should be no reason their is one staff member in each bay. And if someone needs help. The sup should figure out what section had people stuck and is moving, and not the section that only had one staff member in it. But the sup was totally unaware. Secondly the staff made the situation worse instead of coming over and being like we're trying to find a better line. It will just be a few min. Bring it up with their boss. So it can get handled accordingly and 3 people isn't over in one bay looking like they don't know what to do. 2 of those people could have been working. Or at least one. But anyway I go back one time and I'm deferred and have to talk to a sup before I continue. I explain the situation and she understood and allowed me to donate. But told me if anything else happens I won't be able to come back. Never will again. The unprofessional unorganized understaffed place isn't worth75$.. don't go here read more
