I had imaging done at NWR in Carmel, today. I appreciated the text reminder with location and timing details. The online check-in was cumbersome. There were mistakes in pre-populated info that I wasn't able to fix to complete the registration. They also asked questions that I thought that my physician should have answered, because I didn't know the answer. Any way, I filled out 3/4 of the forms on line, but that didn't matter, because I had to fill them out again when I arrived. Plan 20 minutes to fill out forms. The nurse was professional, friendly, thoughtful and knowledgable. She carefully explained the procedure and what to expect. The tech was efficient and helpful. The offices are immaculate (I think they just moved into the facility). The scanning equipment (seems to be) state of the art. The scans were completed in the promised amount of time and I was allowed to leave. I think they send results to my physician. I guess I should have asked, but it would have been nice if they told me. Minor suggestions, they could provide more reading material for waiting (or tell me to bring my own). Some art on the walls would also be a nice distraction. And coffee/water for waiting family members would be nice. All in all, they get the important part right. read more

Billing is consistently inaccurate. Hard to get through to an agent. Most agents are very difficult to understand. Although Medicare claims and MSN's clearly show $0 patient balance Northwest Rad continues to bill. They won't follow through with Medicare themselves, put the burden of proof on the patient Test results are also very slow to come in. read more

Probably one of the worst bed side manners I've seen in healthcare in a long time. Everyone here seems like they're having a bad day. My husband came in here for an appt the lady on the phone scheduled for 12:00pm and when we walked in 20 min early she told him that his appt was at 9:00am when SHE WAS THE ONE WHO WAS THE SCHEDULER. I heard her say 12pm, then she wants to get a condescending attitude with us. Not to mention, everyone has been on their phones when you approach the counter and then when we're talking to them they have to finish what they're doing on their phones before they help us. Absolutely ridiculous. I would recommend going to any other location other than this one! It sucks. read more

Uncaring. Due to having to drink so much water ahead of time (which I understand why for the test), I was on the verge of tears (actually at one point I was wiping tears away) and not doing well when checking in. The lady never verbally recognized that I was struggling. The sonographer didn't say anything either. She hardly said anything at all, despite my comments on how I was doing physically. It was awkward having to change clothes with her in the room, too. Just go somewhere else. I wish I did. read more

This was one of the most efficient medical appointments I have had. easy checkin, little wait time and everyone was professional and courteous. Report was complete in a very timely manner and they made it easy to view the report online and pick up a copy of the image. read more

The customer service experience has been unsatisfactory to put it in nice terms. In order to return to work, a CT scan is required. Despite my doctor's office submitting the necessary information from my provider at least three times over the past six days, I have received inconsistent and unhelpful responses from Northwest Radiology's staff in Carmel. On one occasion, I was informed that the delay was due to waiting for insurance approval, however, I called my insurance and they confirmed no such request was received. This suggests Northwest Radiology staff is either lying or incompetent. We will be asking our doctor to transfer our business to either RAYUS Radiology or Community Imaging Center of Carmel. read more

I recently started seeing a physician in this same Carmel, Indiana building as Northwest Radiology Network. So, it made sense that when the physician ordered a CT Scan that I would try to utilize Northwest Radiology Network. I checked my insurance to make sure they are a provider, they are, and my physician's office was able to schedule an appointment for me in a timely manner. I grew up around Northwest Radiology Network in a location actually on the northwest side of Indy. While I didn't use them often as most of my care was at Wishard Hospital, my parents used them whenever we had a need and I have fond memories of the care. And yes, when you have a disability you get so used to care providers that you definitely develop a relationship with them. This location is located in an office building at 121st and Meridian. It's adjacent to Ritz Charles. The office is on the first floor. It's an older building that is generally well maintained. The building's doors are automatic, however, office doors are not. Northwest has glass doors that are kind of heavy, however, there's the registration directly in front of the door and I have no doubt they'll assist if needed. The waiting room is spacious and wheelchair friendly. I actually arrived about 30 minutes early, but that gave me time to fill out the needed paperwork as a first time patient here. I also provided ID and my insurance card. Masks were required. In fact, they provided a pen for use and they don't reuse pens (So hey, free pen!). The employee at the front desk was super friendly (I generally find this, though I also lean toward being super friendly). I was actually taken back before my appointment time by Amanda. Can I just say she was a delight? She saw something about me that reminded her of Christmas and shared that her tree was already up (I guess we know who to blame for the snow, eh?). I was impressed that the table for the scan could lower - this made it much more easy for me to transfer from my wheelchair to the table. I transferred over (this is the disability version of being a stud!) and got comfy on the table. It did require some disrobing, but I was impressed at the discretion provided. Amanda was respectful, efficient, and told me exactly what to expect and that's exactly what happened. I was in and out in a few minutes and actually arrived back at my car about five minutes before my scheduled appointment. They assured me my physician would have results by the time of my appointment with her the following day. Amanda escorted me out and even opened the door. It was truly exemplary service. Northwest Radiology is open 8am-5pm at this location. They have up front pricing that's available on their website. Apparently, they don't go above that pricing no matter what the insurance covers. So, that's refreshingly honest and ethical. I've yet to experience the billing, but so far I'm quite impressed. The entire facility was simply decorated. It was clean, warm, and welcoming. This was just a really great experience all the way around and I will easily return if there are future needs (and let's face it - I have spina bifida - there will be future needs). read more

Went to NW radiology in Carmel for a mammogram. The lady at the front desk was rude. Its scary enough to have mammograms especially when there have been some issues in the past with results. She was not friendly and seemed bothered by patients. read more
