The only thing I have a problem with at bio life is that they move with no urgency as if everybodies day revolves around them. I got here at 705 tdy took me an hr to get screen get in line to wait on chair 30mins there... I understand this place is short staffed but it's the way they move that will still kinda grind your gears a little I take a bus home I've missed countless busses because it's taken 15-20mins to take me off machine if you have things to do don't come until after but some of us have to get things done at a certain time so you have to do appointments my girl has work at 9 I'm here still it's 9:11 just starting my donation when in reality if I come 2hrs before I should get my donation done this isn't the first time this happened they should open more lanes if it's alott of ppl instead of running 2 out of 6 lanes AND REALLY CONSIDER PPLS TIME staff are nice they really are it just feels like things are getting done lazily around there like there's no sense of urgency in the building when it's alott of ppl for some reason it's worse when there's nun read more

Came in as a new donor for physical and donation. I wasn't seen for the physical portion with a nurse for almost three hours. I arrived just before 10am (appt at 10:10am) and left at close to 1:45pm, and ended up being unable to donate as the process took so long just to complete and I hadn't eaten since 9am. Seriously considering not going back due to this and just calling it a wash. Major waste of time. If there is normally just 1 nurse, that needs to be rectified. Awful. Made an appointment for 11am as a new donor and am waiting for registration. The registration person must help each walk in, so unless an act of God stops the influx of walk ins, I may reach my next birthday before getting to begin the process. They also took a walk in before me which delayed. They really need to take a page from places that help you based on appt and don't start with the next person until you finish with the current. Asa I believe is her name. Lead tech. I asked for someone more experienced to stick me because my veins are harder to hit and I don't like when both arms are stuck. I've donated more than a thousand times in my life and it felt like someone when through my entire arm lol. Not only that she had to stick me with my arm off the pad which doesn't make sense. Again I've donated a thousand times and this has never happened. She proceeds to make comments about how I'm just sensitive and insinuating that I shouldn't be asking for lead techs to stick me. I've done that hundreds of times and that's not a rule lol. So definitely not professional with her comments and doesn't seem to be educated with her profession despite being a lead tech. They were super nice but me and my bf went here on 9/10/24 it took him an hour and a half just to get registered as a new donor and took me an hour my appt was at 4:30 and I got there a 3:30. They were able to get my bfs blood and he got his money while he was recovering which they make you sit for at least 15 minutes but they stuck me twice and I asked them if I would still get the money if they wouldn't be able to get my blood and they said yes I do still get the full amount. It's not 8pm same day and I have been done since about 6 and I still have yet to receive my money. Listen all the Reviews with one stars can really just get out here and don't come back. The people here are friendly and polite they don't waste time and you have to look for deals online for return donors and new donors. If you don't stick to the rules you will not be able to donate. STICK TO THE RULES. Every place in the US is SHORT STAFFED. GET OVER YOURSELF. If you don't have at least 2-4 hrs for this visit please don't come! It took 3 hours for a regular donation. i had 5 folks jump in front of me, then got sent to a color section with 4 people who had not yet even started, which added another 49 minutes to even get started. The person who wrapped up my arm had obviously not changed het gloves numerous times. someone else's blood was on there. yuck. read more

Having an appointment means nothing , your still going to have at least 10 people ahead of you and it going take 2-3 hours every time! They don't have enough staff or their just slow asf . First and foremost, every staff member I've talked to has been extremely friendly. But friendly staff doesn't excuse how long it takes to donate. Actually, I'm sitting in a donation chair as I type. No needles in my arm yet. Total time so far? 2 1/2 hours since my appointment. There are currently 5 phlebotomist or technicians with 18 seats filled. No excuses for them other than they are just moving like snails. That comes out to be a little over 3 donors per technician with the average donation time of 45 min....which equals rediculous. This has been the standard here since I've been donating, thus 1 star. I would also add that the waiting line for open seating is strenuous on the body. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. Scheduled a second appointment because 1st appointment my iron was low. That's understandable but before I left the associate stated that it would be easier since I would already be in the system and wouldn't have to go through all that paperwork again. I asked for clarification and she stated that I would just need to come back and I would just have to sign in and that would be it. After arriving and being called to the desk the attendant stated that that was not in fact correct information . And proceeded to turn her back to talk to co worker. That's all after being given incorrect information there was no remorse just dismissal. So irritated! The lack of empathy for my wasted time is infuriating. BioLife runs all sorts of deals for first time donors. I finally decided to sign up and donate. This is a very clean facility and all the staff I encountered were very nice and very helpful for this first time donor. Yes, your first appointment can be very long, they don't hide this fact when you sign up. While I was sitting and waiting to do my first time donor physical I saw many other donors walk in and seamlessly go through the process to donate as a regular. Each time you donate it will take at least an hour or more, especially if busy. I was looking forward to child care services that they have, however, they are not offering it at this time which will make it more difficult for me to get there and donate regularly. read more

I went in for my first time with a promo for $900 for 8 donations. after my first donation I was told I needed to have my proteins checked with a SPEA test. didn't get the results back for two weeks, then went in to donate and the pressure on the return was too high and the burst my vein so I missed out on that donation along with the two weeks. was 5 mins late to my next appointment and they wouldn't let me donate even though it was super slow. so I made $288 for my promo. be careful. they are not lenient on anything. the nurse that looks like the wicked witch of the west at the okc 63rd location is RUDE. and they won't give you a promo extension for they're mistakes. read more

Tried several times to get in to donate. First time they said I was too old (66), and that I needed my doctor to fill out some paperwork approving my health. Brought the paperwork in, they said I needed it faxed from my doctor. Dr. faxed it. Couple days later I get a call from a nurse: "please give us a call." Called, no answer. Left a message, no response. Made another appointment. This time was told the paperwork had not been approved because the doctor put the responses in the wrong column on the form. I've been donating with BioLife for over 8 years. I recently moved states and was excited to find that they had BioLife in my new city. I've been here in OKC for 2 months and have had only 1 positive experience. At first I thought it was because of COVID but every time I go, there is a long line of people waiting to get a bed or to get screened. Even during COVID times in my old location, I never had to wait more than 10 minutes for anything, and they were much more busy. I think the OKC location is poorly managed, to say the least. Besides the friendly staff (not the one woman who only gives attitude like it's your fault she has to speak to people) everything else is bad for business starting with the extreme employee turnover rate, the donation appointments can only be booked a week later, the sending people home after hours of waiting because they are short staffed, the rescheduling appointment made by the staff just to be sent home again because they are too busy even though they scheduled you, the never answering the phone so you'll have to go up there in person and wait to speak to people that are standing right in front of you on a computer, donor referral payment you may or may not get, and so much more. And to think they are going to open another one in Del City in April-May. read more

I've been donating plasma since 2010 at CSL in Okc and decided to switch to BioLife when it opened in September this year and from the very beginning I've had nothing but issues with their Phlebotomist trying to stick me cause of my scar tissue They don't and won't try to ind your vein and stick you and just tell you sorry we have to disconnect you and then they only give you 20 bucks. Only one of their phlebotomist can stick me correctly each time but anytime she's not there same hing happens with the other phlebotomist that they can't stick me etc . Definitely done going there and I feel they aren't trained well enough to stick someone accurately with scar tissue when more than 5or so people at CSL can stick me just fine with no issues. It's kind of ronic since their suppose to be able to deal with veins and sticking someone . wouldn't waste my time going. Csl is better. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE WAIT AND NO STAFF. You could show up on time for your spot but it won't do you any good! I showed up on time and they only had 1 person to check 10 ppl for finger sticks and vitals and then less than 20 beds open for the 10 ppl waiting in chairs to get plasma started and another 7 of us waiting in line just to get vitals before we can sit with the 10 others. Super slow and appointments mean nothing. Wasted my gas and time. They should really compensate ppl for gas and not getting to donate. We're not bums just gunning for money. I had been donating for a year and then they tell me I had to get a note from my doctor for an arm surgery I had years ago. they kept losing the note so after 3 times they tell me they had to check the veins in my other arm and they had to be 3 inches apart. Making an appt is easy through their app. That's probably the only thing that is smooth. Website states the donation will only take about an hour or so, but this has never been the case. The lines are horrible! On my previous donation, I thought it may be just a fluke day because I waited in a line for an hour BEFORE they even stuck me. Today, I ended up just walking out. I got there for my "scheduled" appt time and there was at least 17 people ahead of me that hadn't even been stuck yet. And it is a "process" to check in and it is not done quickly. If you are in no hurry and really need the money- please still go because plasma is still needed. However, just be aware that if you have to arrange childcare, etc - expect to be there at least 2 to 3 hours every time (not just the first time). read more
