This business is severely understaffed - which is okay. But the owners make no attempt in saving peoples' time. I've waited a total of 5-6 hours in the past week only to be turned down. I even waited to talk to a supervisor, whom was nowhere to be found. All they have to do is schedule less. But nope. They'd rather idiotically pack the building ruining their company's reputation and wasting everyones' time when they get turned down. What good is a coupon if I've been here seven times total and a total of 5 i get turned down?? It's annoying and disrespectful towards everyone, especially anyone who is actually there for reasons that are not income. This is the worst business I have ever been affiliated with. DO NOT become reliant on this source of income, as there will be days without eating and many days of long waits only to be turned down. Horrible wait times. They are always loosing staff. Even today I heard there was a scheduling mix up so obviously management or higher management is not staying on top of things. The other locations do just fine but for some reason the phoenix location is not it. The least they could do is stop accepting new donors so the wait times are more manageable or at least when it comes to the line they could throw the new donors in as every other so the existing donors can get through the line as well. I don't usually come to this location; decided to schedule an appt at 145pm. I get here and there is one person doing the screening. At another location when this happens, management will pull another employee up front to help the line go faster. I waited 45 mins to maybe have 5 people move through . There was probably still 10 people ahead of me when I left. I'm kind of new to donating so I went up front to let the lady know I was leaving - didn't know if I would get in trouble for just leaving; she was helping someone out so I stood there politely - didn't want to interrupt. She finishes with the person and looks at me with no greeting or acknowledgment of me standing there...turns around and starts grabbing the cards to clean and work on the next patient. She looked at me again , twice we made eye contact, yet still no greeting or "I'll be with you in a moment " nothing like that. She started to call the next person and I said "excuse me, just wanted to let you know I'm Leaving" she says "it'll be for a day" I was confused. Huh? She said "once you leave you can't come back in after the questionnaire" I said "I'm not trying to come back , I won't be done here in time for where I need to be. I rate it 5 starts for those individuals that are working at the facility. I give it an overall 3 because they are VERY short staffed. It used to be an odd occurrence when you had a bed wait. Now every single time I go , over the past 2 months, I wait no less and than 1 hour before I get a bed. Most often it isn't 1 1-2 hrs to 2. I. Have been donating twice a. Week since 2020. While I will not give up on it, I have seen many people walk out. More importantly, I fear the great people working at this location will get burnt out and transfer to another location or quit. Shocked at some of these reviews. They must be fake. The pay is great about 35 dollars or more an hour for new timers bonus. After that maybe, 15 an hour. I am not at that level yet. Either way it is more than many jobs pay. I think the bad reviews on here are not real cases based on the lack of profile photos, competition bad reviews, wrong locations on some, and very low IQ, weird comments. Coupons are for new donors and if you can read it is pretty clear. Like I said some of the 1 star reviews are ridiculous and sound like Off or clueless folks, like the no appts lady. Extensive Questions for a blood donation? Did you miss the AIDS prescreening epidemic years? The bathroom is out of soap? Lol yes, why not tell them? They are busy. They have tons of soap dispensers all around everywhere. Are you helpless? I told them yesterday and the lady was as kind as can be. Like everywhere staffing places is an issue in the USA. She thanked me and said we wont know always if someone does not tell us. I would rather the staff help me if I crash on the table then be in the bathroom worried about extra soap dispensers. To give you a perspective. I have several part time jobs. When I work an 8 hour, on my feet, exhausting shift all day I get a check for about 30 dollars less than a 1-3 hour visit here sitting or laying down and scrolling on my phone, or reading a book. Ummmmmmm! lol and I am helping people along with a check and no 30 min commute time and so much gas. I have never been here more than three hours usually 1.5 hours. The first time is longer since you need a nurse and a physical and more intake and even getting sick I had to wait before I could leave and I was still out in less than three hours. I got 30 an hour when I got paid. You get paid as soon as the blood is filled. They scan the bag. With that said, I do go during the week not on a weekend. You need an appointment anyway so I am not sure it would matter after check in which can be slow if the computers are acting up. Yes, not everyone qualifies and you must answer medical questions every time you come which is only a 5 minute task. I timed it yesterday. The other day the system crashed, these things happen, and had some delays. It only took 20 minutes even then to get to the back area and I was still out the door in about 2.5 hours. 35 dollars an hour pay. Not sure why the haters. Yes, they have other people there and can get busy, ummmmm duh. It is not all about you. And they have very strict guidelines on who can donate and what they must do. Why in the world would you argue that? I have never seen staff slacking or talking without working. Like I said they have things they need to do before they prescreen every patient and you never know what emergency they are following up on. Stop thinking you know their job when you do not. If your iron is too low or pulse too high you are out for the day but can come back the next day. Again, why would you argue that? Yes you might get turned away. That is a you issue if you do not understand that, not a them issue. So I decided to donate Plasma this month to earn some cash since work was on furlough and I also have many friends with immune disorders who use it. It takes 1000 donations to just equal a one year supply for one patient more or less. Keep in mind not everyone can donate. I got sick the first time bad and slightly sick the second time but that is not abnormal and it was partly my fault. You must pack on the food the day before and day of and drink tons of water if you are older like me or have a tad higher BP level take extra care with more water and high protein foods. 10-16 oz glasses the day before and at least 5 glasses the day of works better for me. Now I am doing better that my body has adjusted with 4 donations in too. My first eight will pay me over 600 dollars at my location. Some people even get more. I cannot say enough good things about the staff here at Greenway. They helped me every single time I got sick and who helped me with the times I did not. All of them are superb and lovely people! Even the nurses and supervisors who called me the next day to check on me even still and even thought I was fine. I feel spoiled. My Doctor's office does not even do that. Ha! I would say if you want to try it go for it. There is no obligation or penalty if you can't do the 8 in the first month. I have learned my body can't do the two a week. My iron gets too low. However, I can do one a week now so I might not make the whole 600 dollar bonus. I did sign up for their rewards program too. I plan on slacking off a bit after this first month is over but still want to donate since the need is so great. A little extra travel mode cash will alway be nice too. read more

They have the nicest staff here but I feel like the jab is always slightly off. Out of my 4 vista so far, twice have been great. My first experience was good. The phlebo was experienced. My second experience was not good. I could tell the phlebo was not experienced before she even tried to stick me. I told her to check for a vein before she got it all set up. I warned her some have trouble sticking me. She didn't. When she did check, she said "oh, it's one of those". Then she stuck me and poked...poked more...poked more until I told her to just stop. I have a high pain tolerance and her stick hurt me. When she took it out, she said "well, it was in something, because there's a little blood here". That was the voice of inexperience. She didn't offer to get someone else to try. She acted upset when I didn't want her to stick me again. All this after I had waited 30 min just to get to my chair. I didn't get a donation. Pretty frustrating. if I could give this location a negative star I would. had my appointment today scheduled for 11:10am, it's a bit busy when I get inside. I finished my questionnaire and go to get in line for vitals, I turn the corner and there is the line, going into the bed section and probably about 40 people that are hidden from view behind said corner waiting for vitals as well. so my 11:10am appointment time means absolutely nothing to the staff. I once spent 4 hours there on a previous appointment and almost passed out because I hadn't eaten in several hours and didn't bring snacks because I was assuming my appointment would only take 1hr 30mins roughly but no I didn't get put in a bed until almost 3 hours in and I ate less than 2 hours before my scheduled appointment. this place is a joke. Today was my first time donating plasma and I had a really good experience... except almost passing out. I was 15 minutes early and seen before my scheduled time. I was checked in, had an initial blood sample taken, and went to a computer to read/sign off on documents (all together took less than 30 minutes.) Everyone was friendly and I was given high-protein snacks and an electrolyte drink. I was given a physical by nurse Monica who was professional and kind. Nona was the person who gave me the actual blood/plasma extraction and made me feel so comfortable- she was thorough with describing the steps of treatment and I hope she becomes a doctor someday. The only downside was breaking out in a full sweat/nausea/weakness/lightheaded. I told Paula and she quickly got me on saline and feeling back to normal. Sam came to help out and was so kind and made me feel safe and cared for. Then nurse Michael hooked me up with some more snacks and information about my experience while I waited to be cleared to go. Overall, what matters most to me is the care that I receive in any medical situation and these folks care. Thank yall! read more

Great staff. Shady business practices The site is clean and bustling. People are going in and out with great regularity. The staff are responsive and skilled BEWARE! They collect a ton of information regarding your health, and at the end of the sign up process tell you that they will share the info at will and ask you to sign away your rights to your HIPAA protections. Went in today been here almost a hundred times and they were very rude the so called manager cristine gave me a hard time because my pulse was high usually they give u an option to wait 5 minutes then another if it is still to high after 5 minutes my pulse was 1 over and I was denied asked to wait 5 more minutes which I have done before and was told no I have to go very rudely by pristine the manager. I come here all the time and have never been treated this poorly. If you can't properly talk to people don't work with people. I just had my 1st ever plasma donation today, and it was a great experience. Each person I was in contact with gave me all of the details on the processes of the location but also of the plasma donation process. They were all very friendly and helpful and I am fully prepared for my next donation.
