My doctor ordered a 24 hour urine test. This requires you to basically stay home for 24 hours in order to collect every drop of urine that day. I followed the instructions and dropped off 3078 mL of urine. I know the number because they measured it - and then inexplicably cancelled the test. They didn't inform me. They didn't tell me I would need to repeat the test. They just stopped processing it. Now, I have to repeat the test because someone at Sonora Quest didn't care about doing their job properly. I will never use Sonora Quest again. read more

For people complaining about the wait: yes it's long, but that's how all labs are. If you expect to be in and out then that is a "you problem." You will wait no matter where you go, it's typical for this type of thing. For the service- they were good at finding a vein and were sensitive to past experiences. I wasn't feeling well afterwards and they kept checking in on me and allowed me to stay until I felt better. Would recommend, thanks for the kindness! read more

This is the longest I have ever waited for a lab order. They say they take walk ins online but they clearly do not staff enough to handle walk ins. I came early on a weekday thinking it would be slower and still waited so long. Plus the staff is clearly just so busy and there is no one to actually talk to in the waiting room. The ONLY reason I give 3 stars is for the staff. They refused my excellent insurance and wanted to charge me $50.00 for one lab test.

If I could review zero stars I would. I continue to receive a billing statement for a bill that was paid OVER A YEAR AGO by insurance. They cashed the check from the first bill and then billed it again. I have tried multiple times to reach them by phone and talked to an extremely disrespectful phone rep who told me I could email them the payment information which I did. I have never received a reply and continue to receive a bill. I do not recommend going here if you have another option. read more

I had a very bad experience here while getting updated labs done for my 1.5 year old due to his severe peanut allergy. First of all, the phlebotomist worked very slowly when considering her audience (a fidgety small boy), she did not properly apply pressure once the needle was out of his arm (and got blood all over himself and myself), and once it was all said and done stated "why is he even crying, I'm all done." She also mis typed his bday which caused us to have to wait longer (this was a simple clerical error I could usually overlook but given everything else it's worth mentioning she could not even get that right). The whole experience was quite awful. Fast toward one week and my allergist is reading the labs he received. They are not even correct and included information he did not even request. Now I'm faced with having to do it all over again. Highly recommend you look elsewhere! read more

They did not notice that the lab order form said payment required at time of collection, they did not ask for payment and then due to the mistake on their end, they refused to process my labs until I paid. When I asked if I could pay over the phone they refused. When I asked if I could come back and pay they also refused and that I had to wait until Monday. read more

I have been coming here for routine lab work for several years and have always been treated very kindly and the care is always excellant. Do NOT go to this location or maybe Sonora Quest in general if you have original Medicare plus a supplement. 1) They do not know the difference between advantage plans and a supplement. 2) They do not know the insurance companies, insisting that Mutual of Omaha was the same company as Physicians Mutual, which they are not. 3) they are not well-versed in the coverages available with the various supplemental plans, as they said my labs would not be covered because I see a Natural Pathic, when they have been covered for three years with no problems. My insurance has not changed for three years and I have not had a problem there until today. With all the same people I've seen there before, I was shocked. They wanted to charge me $1200 for my well-care labs today which has been covered through them for the past three years. I had to cancel my annual well care visit which I had scheduled three months prior, and find an appointment with LabCorp two weeks later and reschedule my well care visit. I have talked to several friends since this happened, all with similar incompetence stories, and they all told me they switched to LabCorp. Too bad, Sonora Quest was only a mile from our house. read more

I have been going to Quest for over 30 years. My recent experiences are certainly NOT done with the skilled phlebotomists they used to have. A while back I went to get bloodwork done, which I do about every 4 months, I got a phlebotomist named Annabell..... as she was taking me blood, there was a continuing sucking sound even as she changed the tubes for the blood! then when she was don, I looked at my arm which was covered in blood. there was a great deal of blood under my arm, all over the padded thing my arm was on, & dripping on the floor!!! I was horrified! I got out of there as soon as I could. After that experience, every time the had Annabell called me back to take my blood,I refused to let her do it - someone else came to take my blood. Yesterday my husband needed bloodwork. He was called back by someone I only saw from the back, she wasn't in her usual room, #6, we went to room #2, so I didn't think anything about it. All of a sudden she stuck my husbands arm - I saw the blood spurting out! I asked her, what is your name, she hesitated to the point I thought she wasn't going to tell me, then she said Anna...........she accused my husband of moving his arm, that's what happened. I went to the lobby & told them I wanted to file a complaints not about a phlebotomist. I was telling the lady what happened when some woman came up to me & said harshly go to room #4. I figured she thought I was a patient. I started to tell her I wasn't when she raised her voice & said " Go to room #4, I am the Supervisor!". She sat down & crossed her arms, I told her this entire story, she glared at me and told me "Annabell has been here a very l t time. I told her I don't care, she need some more training. That must have set her off because she raised her voice & said She IS A WONDERFUL PHLEBOTOMIST! I said, not I. my opinion, you aren't even listening to what has happened more than once! she kept saying Annabell was wonderful, I kept saying I don't care, you are not respecting what happen to me & my husband. All of a sudden she stood up & in a very nasty loud voice, demanded that I leave her establishment that I was yelling & disrupting her business! I am 75 years old, my husband is sick - 80 years old, I was not yelling. when I told her I was not yelling, she kept saying over & over, I demand you leave my business now! I could not believe the hostility of this woman because I had a valid complaint. I got my husband out of the room with Annabell, he is slow because he's on a walker - this "SUPERVISOR " actually followed us out to the lobby still demanding that we leave! I guess we weren't going fast enough, then she yelled, if you don't leave I'll call the police - we were at the door exiting when she yelled that. I had enough & yelled back , go ahead call the police. what a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE. I will be going to LAB CORE from now on! I did contact Quest Corporate office & talked to a person who apologized & will be contacting the regional manage regarding this incident. I have no doubt the supervisor will lie about how she handled the situation. Whatever! read more

Unfortunately Arizona customers must ease through the long wait to get labs done. With minimal other options for lab work, you get stuck making an appointment only to sit and wait with the multiple other patients wasting their time sitting around im a queue that goes nowhere. Is it staffing? Then quit having scheduled times. Is It drop ins? Then they move to the back of the line behind people who schedule their labs. This is absolutely ridiculous. Would recommend having your Physician get labs at LabCorp instead...or if anyone knows a different place, would go there instead. read more

The kid who did my blood test was super sweet but I am appalled by the inexperience. He said how hard it was to do with one hand, almost dropped the vile and left me with a huge, horrific bruise. Not only was the procedure painful, which it shouldn't be, I am still in pain and have a terrible bruise. I am not a person who has trouble having blood drawn, this is purely lack of training and experience. Only have been here for blood draws via WellnessFX and the process was super smooth. Made appointments online, showed up on time and was taking in with little wait. The first time I was here the person who did the draw must have used magic because I literally did not feel anything. The second time it took two attempts, and yes, I was drinking water, so it was a little more of a process but still went smooth and the person doing it had an attitude that made everything work out well even with the trouble they had. read more

Excellent Sonora Quest lab. Have been too many around the valley and it usually takes 20 minutes to an hour to get your blood drawn. I was in and out of this location and less than 10 minutes. I don't have anything negative to say about this specific location or employees, but I do for the company as a whole. I have been getting blood work done on a regular basis for years from Sonora quest labs. I call in to pay my bill over the phone and they have told me I have a $0 balance after I pay each time. Today I go in and they say I owe a balance of nearly $500 from April 2017! I call and they say it has been in collections for years. I check my credit reports regularly and it has NEVER showed up on any of the bureaus. And no employee in the office or over the phone in 3 and a half years has ever said I owe anything. If possible. I called about it and they didn't seem to want to work with me or anything, just stated over and over that I owe it. I would highly recommend using a different lab for blood work if possible. read more

I received a phone call from Sonora Quest 3 hours prior to my appointment letting me know my insurance was approved and to be on time. I did my bowl prep (fun) and drove 45 minutes to my appointment. When i arrived i was told the insurance system was down, my insurance was not approved and i would need to reschedule on a very critical MRI. I ended up paying cash, as i could not delay this test for cancer detection. Worst service and excuse ever received. I do not know how they should be able to continue with these service levels. read more

Thinking it was a fluke I decided to book an another appointment for another blood draw and showed up again 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, it was a repeat performance from before, that appointment times mean absolutely nothing to the staff, you are put in queue with everyone else and wait until you are called. Why bother booking an appointment? They have no explanation and no worry about any reputation loss as the place is very busy. Late for work again, but who cares.....Finally, it's comical that the supervisor has her number posted on the wall to call and provide input as to your visit. Called and got voicemail, what a surprise. I think it's time to get off the ride before I get any more nauseated. read more

My husband recently had a severely bad case of hives due to an unknown allergic reaction. After going to his allergist, she prescribed he complete some blood work at the nearby lab. Upon arrival, we barely waited 10 minutes before they called him back. We were in and out in under 30 minutes, which was very lucky. (We still had to go get prescriptions.) The staff was very friendly and nice. The inside seemed a little sad and outdated. The lighting was nothing special making the place seem gloomy/dark. I don't think I could keep a chipper attitude if I worked there, so more power to the staff. Overall, if you need blood work done, head to this location. read more

Please get your bloodwork drawn elsewhere. The service I received here has me seriously questioning the qualifications of their staff. I traveled to AZ for vacation and also decided to have numerous lab tests performed as it's not legal in my state of residence to self-order labs. I purchased several labs from a third-party site. I've done this in the past with no issues. I usually go to LabCorp; however, some of the tests on the website I used were only available through Quest, so I decided to try them out this time. Big mistake! I arrive for my lab draw with no appt around 7:50 AM on a Monday morning. Quest opens at 8. I'm met with a crowd of people and several staff waiting outside the door stating that they're locked out and will "hopefully" be able to enter by 8:30 when a supervisor with a key shows up. Not a great way to start off the morning, especially when you're fasting and have to wait to take needed medication before you can even eat. Luckily, we didn't have to wait past 8:30 once the supervisor arrived and let us in. I was eventually seen and gave my lengthy lab order to the technician. When it was my turn for the draw, I was asking the phlebotomist about the draw requirements for vitamin B6, one of the tests I was having drawn. I double-checked to make sure it was going to be in a light-protected tube. She assured me that the sample "would be protected from light". I had a small basket worth of tubes filled while the woman drawing my blood chatted to me about how she's been vegan for the past five years and left around 9:15, figuring all would be well and anxious to receive my results. Two days later, I received a call from the company from which I purchased the labs. Two tests I had paid for were not able to be used because they had not been drawn correctly, including the B6 test which I had *specifically* asked the phlebotomist about as I knew it had a special preparation. The second test was also of great importance. However, I received this news the morning I was leaving AZ and could not return to re-do the lab draw. I am seriously disappointed that this lab couldn't draw multiple labs I ordered correctly. Staff seemed more interested in making conversation with their head in the clouds than doing their job correctly. After this experience I will be returning to LabCorp and using them exclusively for any future lab draws. read more

The location near my home closed down and this was the next closest one to me. I went without an appointment, I had to wait over an hour...I believe it was closer to 1 hour 20 minutes. I heard the front desk lady tell the lady in front of me it was a 30 minute wait, so not sure why my turn took so long. After 45 minutes I finally noticed they had names up on the TV showing who was next in line. I had no idea that's how it worked, would have been nice to know this when I paid for my tests. This location was very cramped and hot inside. I noticed a couple ladies had to fan themselves. I ended up adding on and paying out of pocket for 5 extra tests to my blood draw order. I love that there is an option to do this on my own volition. I felt that the Thyroid Panel should have included more options such as RT3. The lady that finally took me back after waiting so long did an excellent blood draw and was so pleasant to deal with. She was quick and knowledgeable. read more

If you are considering using the patient directed service just don't. Apparently patient directed test results are second tier in terms of urgency at Sonora Quest. I received my blood draw here and was told to expect. 2 -3 day turnaround. Over one week later and still waiting. Use Requestatest.com instead. After 4 day's had gone by with Sonora Quest, I got a blood draw at request a test and received the test results while still waiting for Sonora Quest's results. Now to get my money back from Sonora Quest. read more
