Stay away from these people. Stay away from people who say one thing and do another... I called hoping for a good assesment and education on what is going on with my teeth. they charged me around 300$ no imaging no nothing to spend 15 min with me and tell me I have a cavity.. The receptionist said she understood my bad dentist experiences and spent an hour on the phone with me, explaining to me how this kind of dentist will only scedule one paitent at a time. ( was not the case in fact they asked me to be early and they never came into my appontment room until 30 min after the appointment) I am a student and needed to get to class so instead of caring about my time I was rushed. I felt rushed and not taken care of so I emailed them and asked if I could have the doctor call me please... and they never responded... I was supposed to get a procedure done with them and then I said never mind... my procdure is for dec 5, and I canceled on nov 27... via phone call, email and text! and they still are sending me appontment confirmations. Not only do these people not answer your emails, or messages but they have a blatent disregaurd for humanity and the paitent care they provide. Currently I am a medical student and if I was practinjng this way it would be compleatly unacceptable. I would say stay away from these people, if they are going to treat someone like this... what is the point of every offering any kind of care? I'm a new patient. I wanted to try and support biologic dentistry. I was excited - and I asked about pricing over the phone before I became a patient - so I could compare the cost with my current dentist. When I arrived for my first cleaning (following a $400 initial consult the month prior), I was blindsided when I was told this deep cleaning (right side only) was going to cost $1,123. 00. I had traveled there, I was in shock. I entered the room. I had a lovely and qualified hygienist do a through cleaning (deep cleaning on only 1/2 the mouth) that latest just over 60 minutes. I needed no medicine for numbing. It was not painful even though I have some very deep pockets. I paid my bill (because I am a bill payer), and I left, in shock and very upset with myself for not having just walked out right after I had arrived and been given the estimate. Instead, I wrote Drs. an email to Drs. Stickney and Cziao to ask them to transfer my records back to my dentist of many years. I will return to that clinic and just avoid the flouride treatments that they give (because that is not biological). I told them that the rates they are charging are completely unconscionable. I have no idea how on earth they can charge this kind of money. My care was very good. Dr. Cziao was lovely and explained what he was doing and Jennifer did a good, deep clean, but these prices are out of this world unreasonable. read more

Dr. Stickney has been wonderful. I am sorry he is scaling back. His new associate Dr. Cziao, however, is a huge disappointment. As he cleaned my teeth ultrasonically I smelled burning tooth. When I asked if what he was doing could remove enamel, he initially said no, but then admitted it could. After this 'cleaning' my teeth have been continuously sensitive to temperature and acidic foods. I believe his technique stripped enamel. After years of great care with Dr. Stickney, I have changed dental clinics and advised my family to do the same. One would hope that a dentist would know and care about the rudimentary elements of dental care, but I now do not trust any aspect of Dr. Cziao's judgment at this point. In addition, since this office shifted to new ownership, the office staff has been less professional and competent. Long term competent staff has been replaced by inexperienced and rotating staff who appear to be casually trialing new processes and procedures. After over 30 years with this clinic I am sorry to have to change, but feel it is in the best interest after trying to give them the benefit of the doubt over my past and last year with them. read more

After receiving some poor dental work in Los Angeles, I was left with debilitating pain in three teeth. When I sought to get the situation corrected by another dentist, I was told I would need root canals in all the teeth that the Los Angeles dentist had worked on. Fortunately I found Dr. Stickney. After weeks of this I tried Dr Stickney based on a friend's referral, wow what a great idea that turned out to be! Now, granted, going to the dentist doesn't top my list of fun things to do but it is necessary -- kinda like cleaning out the gunk in the kitchen drain -- but Dr. Stickney is quick, thorough and an expert at helping his patients relax. Dr. Stickney Saved my front tooth!!!!! After being told by a highly regarded dentist, who had also consulted with two other dentist in Kirkland that I would need a bridge to fix my front tooth I decided to get one more opinion and this time with a holistic dentist and lucky me that dentist was Dr. Stickney. At my first appointment with Dr. Stickney he listened to all of my concerns regarding my front tooth and before giving me an opinion, sent me out to get a 3d X-ray of my teeth. After getting the 3d X-ray back Dr. Stickney sat down with me and told me that a bridge, in my case would not be a good choice!!! He told me the roots to my front teeth were too short, from having braces and could not withstand the pressure that would be put on them by a bridge. Dr. Stickney then re-xamined my front tooth. Be began to work on it and I assumed he was temporarily securing the loose crown, to buy me some time until an implant could be made. Dr. Stickney got out his laser and lasered the area around around the gum where I had lost my tooth. He worked away and I was very thankful to have my tooth secured for the time being. When Dr. Stickney finished he casually told me my tooth was fixed and it should last me for a very long time!!!!!!!! Dr. sticky used ozone to disinfect the area before securing the crown. He used anesthetic that did not make me sick. He was kind gentle and compassionate and He saved my front tooth. I had thought getting another opinion was a waste of time. Three dentist all had the same opinion there was no way they could anchor the crown since there was nothing left to anchor it too. My front tooth crown is now secured as if it was my own tooth. If I had followed through with my previous dentist I would have had 3 teeth taken out to make a bridge for one tooth and on top of that it would not have lasted!!!!!! I thank God I took the time to see Dr. Stickney. It was a miracle that I found him as I could have gone to 100 dentists and none of them would have had a laser, ordered a 3d X-ray, used ozone.....etc. I would have gotten a bridge and that would have failed too. I am a grateful patient of dr stickney. Dr stickney is an exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable dentist with many years of experience. Even though he runs a busy practice he makes time to keep up with the latest developments in dentistry and is willing to include new techniques that have been well tested but are not currently mainstream. Its very likely that many of the techniques he is using now will be widely available in 20 years or so. He and his staff are very caring and were willing to really listen and understand what my dental issues where. I believe dr stickney provides the most natural approach to dentistry that is currently available. He emphasizes a preventive approach with the latest techniques for finding dental issues very early so treatment can be as minimal as possible not just relying on x rays alone. He is also very knowledgeable of natural supplements to help strengthen teeth. He uses natural anesthetics and sterilizing techniques such as ozone instead of unnatural mainstream alternatives and finally he is very skilled at dental cosmetics and is very sensitive to making your teeth look the best they can. I discovered dr stickney when I had a crown that had failed. The original drilling required getting very close to the nerve. Although the dentist was very skilled it took years for the tooth to stop hurting and I was told it would be wise to do a root canal because there was a good chance the nerve had been so traumatized by the drilling that it would likely die. I decided to take my chances and it did eventually recover but 10 years later the crown failed and I was told by a couple of dentists that I should go directly to a root canal because the chance of saving the tooth was now very low. I decided to do some research and read about how lasers can be helpful in this situation because they cause less trauma to the nerve than a conventional drill without the heat from the friction so I looked for a dentist who was using one and found dr stickney. When I had my appointment dr stickney told me there was a very good chance that he could save the tooth. Using a laser and other techniques and years of experience the procedure was quick and comfortable and to my astonishment the tooth didn't hurt at all after the numbing wore off and has been fine for over a year .
