I had Dr. Phan fix my broken tooth. It was a tricky back molar. She initially suggested a crown, but I asked for a filling and she was able to give me one. I also asked for less lidocaine (I always get to much) and she did everything to make me comfortable. Staff is friendly, cheery, and kind. Finding a new dentist is always a little scary but I couldn't be happier with my choice! Everyone in the office is friendly and amazing, Piper always makes my day and my teeth sparkle! Office is easily located right next to the Westlake lightrail station, and they also have validated parking as an option as well! New patients can get a free whitening tray which is an amazing perk as well! I am always impressed how they explain my charts to me and give clear tips to improve any problem areas. This dental practice is very friendly and very nice. It's a big practice with a lot of facilities and care. I have only worked with Dr. Baker so far who seems like a straight shooter and honest. They aren't overly aggressive which I like, but more practical. The staff and everyone is about providing good care and making sure your comfortable.. My only compliant or negative comment is about one of the hygienest who recommended $10 floss to me, which I thought was obscene.. And one more thing they never give free toothbrushes and Travel size floss and toothpaste (shouldn't all dental practice be doing this to encourage you to brush and floss) read more

A wonderful dental practice with an unethical policy change. After happily seeing Dr. Baker and his team for years, they have decided to opt out of ALL insurance networks. This is a wildly unethical practice - requiring individuals to pay for services out-of-pocket and wait to be reimbursed from insurance providers. This is critical healthcare. I am super disappointed in this decision of a well-off practice to very clearly prioritize the health and wellbeing of the wealthy over all clients who deserve high quality care. read more

I was extremely disappointed with my Zoom teeth whitening treatments. For over 600$, my teeth were only slightly whiter after the treatment and look just as yellow as before the next day. They were still very yellow the day of too. There are also patches of bright white on random parts of my teeth too. The website promises a "dramatic result" and a "dazzling smile." Absolutely no one has noticed my teeth whitening as there is nothing dramatic or dazzling about my smile after treatment. I also have multiple very painful sores on my inner gum from the retractors they used to keep my gums open. Currently waiting for those to heal and am having extreme pain with chewing. I would not recommend this clinic for instant teeth whitening. Complete and total rip off. read more

All elements of this organization are super impressive. First there's Jessica in billing. I have a Workmans comp case in Alaska which is pretty complicated but she knew the ends and outs to make it work here in Seattle. My dental assistant Myko was very amiable and a pleasure to have idle conversation with. The ladies at the front desk were very professional and courteous. The shading gentleman was also quite pleasant, and good at his job. Dr. Phan was quite impressive. She spoke very clearly and succinctly. Her personality is extremely charming and down to earth, yet also very professional and competent. Plus, I'm highly picky about the shape of my teeth and I was extremely satisfied with her work. This is a great office owned by a few DDS and a bunch more other dentistry experts. I skipped the dentist for 2 years in the pandemic and needed to dig my self out of that hole so I picked this place based on online reviews. On my first visit they took a look and let me know I wasn't in terrible shape but needed a few fillings and possibly some deep cleanings to get back on track. They gave me a clear plan of what to expect treatment and cost wise and everything was well explained. After my first appointment I came back 3 more times for the fillings and deep cleanings and they all went very smoothly and painlessly. What I appreciated most was they were able to test out less invasive forms of numbing for my treatments which allowed me to avoid needing more powerful anasthetics while still having a completely pain free treatment. It's a small thing but definitely felt like they were paying a lot of attention. I unfortunately can't name every single one I've seen but off the top of my head I've had various people fixing my mouth up, including Dr Phan, Dr Baker, Nila, Jasmine, Kori, Garrett, and Myko. That's a lot of various people but they've all done great work as far as I can tell. On top of that the office managers and front desk are super friendly and easy to work with, I have no problem with scheduling my appointments and they send lots of reminders. This place is run very efficiently and I never found myself waiting around or rushed. Great place and I will continue to go back as long as I'm in Seattle. read more

As a result of the thoroughness, a tiny cavity was detected which I was totally unaware of due to the lack of symptom. I'm most appreciative of the attention to details paid at this clinic. I had not been to the dentist in several years so was apprehensive about what would happen. Everyone was extremely kind and non-judgmental.In particular the first dental assistant was quick to put me at ease and employed a lot of positive feedback during a tricky procedure. Dentists are very professional, that's why I still gave 4 stars, otherwise wish it could have been 1 star for the front desk. I had been having good experiences except last time. The front desk sometimes appear less professional about fees and coverages. Most of the time they are good but this particular time (happened in July) I am not sure what's going on with their professionalism: They did not inform me about my procedure price till I was all ready to have my procedure done in the operating room, they suddenly decided to check the total price of everything and told me that my insurance did not cover it. So, why couldn't the front desk tell me the estimated price without insurance coverage when they first scheduled me? So I can get all prepared? Did they expect me to fortune tell how much it is to be cost? I received all the rest estimate for other procedures and future crown prices BUT this one. So I had no idea how much it is. You know when you were sitting in the operation room, you thought the price was like $$$ then it turned out to be $$$$? It was a sudden the front said, let me run the estimation, and then they found out my insurance happen to not cover it. So? I was forced to pay for it out of pocket with a huge shock because I needed the procedure for sure. Then this one front desk has started to warn me if I fail to pay the rest of it, what result would be, Repeatedly, as if I will be a theft and dishonest, run away from the bill? Seriously if you have done your job and let me know the WHOLE price in advance to my procedure, it would not have ended up like this. And gosh, even though I agreed to pay how much ever I was charged and I was ok with how she set up my payments without arguing, the staff acted so skeptical that I can pay all. Please do not talk in a condescending manner as if I am a criminal, trying to run away from the bill that you surprised me with. What's more ridiculous is that, when I was ready to leave, this same front desk staff "commanded" me to open my mouth, to show her my procedure result, she said she wants to see how it looks on me. Out of curiosity. I was blown away by how odd and unprofessional to ask a patient whose mouth was full of blood after the procedure, plus, it is a matter of respect that patients has their privacy. At the moment to this front staff, nothing matters more than her curiosity. I don't feel ok with it, and quite honestly, isn't this a violation to HIPPA? Like I said, the dentists are really good at what they are doing, but I don't know if some front desk agent is qualified for their job. Not notifying me the price is huge on me, I cannot tolerate it, so I probably won't go back again after all my procedures all done. I am sure the management is busy charging patients and making $$$$$, neglecting the professionalism on their staff. read more

I WAS very happy with the services at Seattle Dental Associates. I just had my second cleaning there and had a few out of pocket crowns done there and they are very friendly. The average to low review is because when I discussed their "Free Teeth Whitening" policy when I came into the office the first time I was told that I could do either the trays or the in office whitening. I had also read on their website that they provided "life-time" whitening to their patients. Today I went to schedule my in office whitening and they said they only did trays complimentary for current patients. I also noticed that their policy on the website has changed and no longer says "life-time" whitening. I have no tolerance for bait and switch companies. I would have lowered the star rating except that the hygienist and dentist that I saw were great. That said, I won't be going back. read more

What a great experience! My son awoke w/a unsettling tooth. I phoned for an "emergency" visit. They got us in w/in 4hrs. My first time in the office (my hubby usually does the dental apts) the front desk staff was absolutely wonderful making us feel right at home while striking conversation w/my son calming his every nerve. Mind you he's been going here for the past 3yrs but going to the dentist can be a bit unsettling for the little ones. I had a great experience with Dr. Baker today. I broke a tip on a back tooth on Sunday and two days later I'm in great shape. Jamal took great care of me making sure I was comfortable. Dr. Baker did a good job explaining what was going on. I showed up for an 8 AM appointment and walked out at 10:30 with a permanent crown in place. It was not my first crown, but it was definitely the easiest crown placement process I have ever experienced. I came to Dr. Barnes with a recommendation, and I feel compelled to leave a great review (which I don't write often). From Diana's warm and professional attitude to Sandy's detailed approach to cleaning, they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Barnes is non-pretentious and curious which is great for some water cooler convo while you wait for your cleaning. He fixed a small chip on my tooth during an exam and we had a sound conversation about my next steps. It's only been one visit for me so far, but I'm going back relaxed and no fear.
