I have been a patient of Dr Amato for years. I'm 47 years old and can say that his practice is hands down the best dental office I've ever been to. Dr Amato is personable, smart, has a wonderful bed side manner and is just a fantastic dentist. He is a perfectionist and I am very happy with the work he has done on my teeth over the years. They offer cosmetic procedures but are not pushy at all. Dr Amato is ethical and highly trustworthy. He is an expert and I trust his decisions (unfortunately not true of previous dentists I've seen). My Hygienist, Debbie is truly amazing. She is meticulous. My teeth have never felt so good. I would go to her monthly if I could because my teeth feel fantastic afterwards. She has a wonderful bedside manner and I always enjoy my visits. She is just a great person in addition to an awesome professional. The front desk staff are superb. They are always so polite & helpful. As a patient you get a number of reminders of your upcoming appointment so that you don't accidentally miss it. Thank you . I booked my December 22, 2026 appointment 249 days ago. The staff is out of the office near Christmas (totally OK - good for them!) I was asked to reschedule to one of 3 available times on 12/28/26. I agreed to a time and was told, "Unfortunately there are no longer any openings on December 28th... We are giving you ample time regarding the office closing. There are no openings. Our schedule fills up very quickly, and prompt attention to our messages would get you a reserved spot prior to another patient. If we don't hear back from you in a timely manner we will offer it to another patient." The operations manager, Jessica, told me she called and left a voicemail. I do not have any missed calls or voicemails from Amato Dental Group. I asked her, "Are you lying to me, or do you have the wrong number?" She told me, "You are a 24-year-old acting like a 50-year-old man. Knock it off." I suggested to the dental group that they call my cell and leave a voicemail if I do not pick up. Or call my work phone, and someone will notify me if Jessica is calling for an URGENT rescheduling request that requires an IMMEDIATE response. read more

So expensive that the cost over-rides the quality of care which was fine. They did procedures that were not approved by the patient that showed up on the billing. Then they charge 3% if you use a credit card to pay! I will be looking for another dentist. This practice is a money making factory that charges 25% more than most dentists. read more

I started going to Dr. Amato's former partner,Chris Lecuyer, when I moved to Seattle in 1987. I was referred by a former grade school classmate who later became an orthodontist in Edmonds. I am a nervous patient (I had a lot of painful dental work as a child) and I tend to talk too much when I get nervous in the dental chair, but they never make me feel like a nut-and I can get pretty nutty! I ended up having to have a dental implant while dealing with some fairly serious non-dental health issues simultaneously this year, and I was pretty much a basket case. They worked around my schedule and got me through it. I had another dental implant elsewhere (at an independent oral surgeon's office) after a bike accident in the 1990s, which resulted in massive swelling and left a receding gum line above the implant. With the implant performed in Dr. Amato's office, I had practically no bleeding, zero swelling and no change to my gumline. Wow! Even after I moved to the eastside in the nineties I still traveled across the lake to Amato's office regularly. I finally started getting my routine cleanings closer to home in Bellevue, but if I ever actually needed dental work, it was back across the bridge I went! Four or five years ago a dentist on the eastside recommended some work after my cleaning, but when I went to Amato's office, they seemed puzzled and said no work was necessary. The tooth is still fine...So now I just slog across the bridge for the cleanings too. I was worried when Chris retired last year, but Dr.Amato is also wonderful and very kind. You can be confident that you will get good care. I love the staff, especially Nicky, who just always goes above and beyond. She made a temporary crown for one of my front teeth that looked good enough to be the permanent-which she did on purpose because I was going to have to wear the temporary for longer than usual week or two. She is super talented and super sweet! Appointment scheduling is easy and communication is efficient, with good reminder texts. My only bone to pick is that you have to pay for parking, which is not normally the case on the eastside but fairly standard in Seattle I think. . This revue is long overdue. I am +\- with this dental practice. It was my first time as a patient to their practice last year. I was due for the usual cleaning including xrays. I felt the whole process was slow and after an hour when I thought I was almost finished, they said they ran out of time and there was more cleaning that needed to be done. Making another appt within 1 month was a pain in the butt. Not only was my time limited but their open appts were extremely limited. This second appt also used up my insurance paid second cleaning visit for the year. Little annoyed and felt like I was robbed. I know my teeth were not in horrible shape and I've never had any dental issues... My second complaint is that the hygienist and dentist both kept trying to sell me on products. I will be looking for another dentist clinic for my next cleaning. Sigh. read more

Dr. Amato has been "My Dentist" since 2007. When he started treating me I had a ton of issues that we had to work through, including root canals, caps, cavities and more. Before I started seeing Dr. Amato I had a lot of anxiety about visiting the dentist and kind of felt ashamed for having all these problems. But right from the beginning the entire LeCuyer & Amato Dentistry organization was amazingly supportive and flexible (special shout out to the front desk staff for how orderly and efficient every visit is). Five Stars for the Best Dentist in Seattle, imho. --- PANDEMIC UPDATE --- I was inspired to write this review because I was undergoing Invisalign treatment during the end of 2019 and into the start of 2020, right as the Covid-19 situation arrived in Seattle. Through this entire shared ordeal, Dr. Amato and his staff have been very responsive and helpful. There were some small delays due to the Public Health emergency (i.e. city was on lock-down), which is entirely understandable. But through it all there was good communication and I was able to continue my treatment without interruption. Once King Country entered the correct reopening stage, I was able to get an appointment to get back into the office and get right back on schedule. I was very impressed by the level of preparedness and safety I felt during my appointments in June and July. Proper social distancing in the lobby, masks required, temperature checks and all the other elements I would expect in the current situation. These folks are serious about my safety, and I appreciate that. read more

I had been so afraid of letting anyone look in my mouth. A cross between anxiety and shame about letting my teeth get so bad. But, then I saw Dr. Amato. He assessed me without judgement and with kindness. I've had a couple serious procedures now. Each time I was prescribed a low dose of anti-anxiety meds. Those meds, coupled with their considerate care, helped me on my way to a healthy mouth. I wish I had started sooner. read more

I'm an unfortunate soul who, despite regular brushing and flossing with great oral hygiene, requires frequent dental work. Dr. Amato is a wonderful dentist, and coming from someone who has had more than her fair share of dental work done, couldn't recommend him more highly! He is professional, personable, and operates an on-time clinic. I have had two crowns and multiple fillings done with him, and he takes all the time needed to make sure they are done right. My bite feels wonderful, and he takes those extra few minutes to make sure everything is aligned nicely and looks beautiful. He even re-did a front tooth filling making it more cosmetically pleasing. It looks great now, wheras before it bothered me every time I looked in the mirror! Chelsea is a wonderful hygenist, and I try to go to her for all of my appointments. You know all the small differences between toothpastes and which is the best for your particular teeth? No me neither, but she does! She's a sweetie who knows her stuff, and we always have a great time during appointments. 5 stars for this dental group, all the way! read more

I had several treatments done at this clinic, including restorative work. From day one, Dr. Amato and Carli were a pleasure to work with. My appointments were always on time, and I was given proper attention and care. They offer early morning appointments for those who cannot easily take time off during the day. In terms of restorative work, I had four porcelain crowns done and they turned out quite well. The clinic works with a professional who takes time to design the crowns to provide a realistic appearance. They are slightly transparent and have all the characteristics of a natural tooth, not a chiclet. I have full confidence in this office and will comeback for my dental needs. read more

Let me preface by saying I am terrified of the dentist and I avoid it like the plague. I would go once and never return, then go somewhere else once and never go back. Saying that, I love Dr. LeCuyer and his staff. My first time at the dentist in a year and a half and I walked in and was greeted right away by the receptionists who knew my name already and they were so friendly. As I waiting nervously for them to call me back the ladies up front were asking me questions about where I grew up, where I went to school, etc...(I think they could see the fear in my face) and it helped me take my mind off of the upcoming experience. As I was called up to go back I was greeted by Jules, the most friendly and sweetest person I have ever met at a dentist. I informed her of my fear and she calmed me down right away helping me stay calm and not just get up and walk out. She asked me tons of questions about myself and my family to take my mind off of things. I finally met the Dr. and he complimented me on my great teeth and the fact that I have once cavity (I got when I was 5). Made me feel confident, he assured me things would be just fine. I was sent back again to another room and the lady started my cleaning (with tears streaming down my face, [sorry I don't have her name]) I know, it's probably quite comical to you about now...anyways it was not as bad as I thought it would be because I have ultra sensitive gums and teeth. LeCuyer and Amato Dentistry is by far the best dentist office I've gone to; both Doctor's are professional & experienced with the current 2013 dentistry technology, Clean, organized office and their staff is friendly and does what it takes to keep you comfortable during your appointment. The front office was very helpful fitting me in around my busy work schedule and helped explain my options of financing. I personally was afraid to smile showing my yellowing crooked teeth prior to receiving my dental work and I had 8 veneers and 3 crowns. The dental work has completely changed my smile and appearance and it's really hard to keep me from smiling now. Dr. LeCuyer and Dr. Amato you both ROCK! BEST. DENTIST. EVER. This is a guy who really cares about his patients and his on-going relationships with each of them. I would recommend his practice to anybody! When I went to visit the office, his staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They broke down all the costs for me when I called to schedule the appointment and made sure I was comfortable -- WELL in advance -- with the price I would pay. My dental hygienist, Julie, also made sure I was okay with everything she did and explained how she would use every tool she put in my mouth. Plus, as we made conversation, she took things out of my mouth so I could respond. Very thoughtful. :) I must say, I like this guy's style. It goes something like: Compliment - "Your teeth are beautiful!" Bad News - "So, you need three fillings and your wisdom teeth need to be extracted." Good News - "It should be really easy, it won't be like the horror stories you've heard." Compliment - "You really do have beautiful teeth, and we're going to keep them that way." Also, he and his staff have given me ample fuel and support in my journey to quit smoking! (It should probably be noted that I see them quite frequently as I work within very close proximity to his office). He has really gone above and beyond in his commitment to my overall health and it really makes the difference. You will love this guy!! read more

I'm on the fence about this dentist. On the one hand I feel like they're friendly and generally competent. On the other hand I don't like how much they push Invisalign. It's a significant part of their website but then they have a TV in the office that has a continuous Invisalign loop. At my first visit the dentist said I needed Invisalign because in 10-15 years my front teeth might get crowded and I was definitely going to have "hygiene issues" in the near future without invisalign or some sort of orthodontics. Now, in 30 years and 5 dentists, this is the first one to ever even suggest braces, let alone "strongly recommend" them. And then despite this, while cleaning my teeth the hygienist kept going on about how good my teeth were. So what is it - good teeth or "you really need braces"? Anyway, they quoted me like 5K for Invisalign and then called me 4 months later to schedule the consult, which I ignored, and they mentioned nothing about it at my second yearly visit for cleanings, so I guess we'll see where things go in the future with them. read more

Today 9/18/19 I had an appointment with Dr. Amoto. This was not a regular appointed as I had cracked a tooth two days before. I explained all this to the receptionist over the phone and I was very grateful that I could be seen on such short notice. When I arrived they took an X-ray and did everything they needed to prep and to fix the tooth the dentist tells me he doesn't have time to fix it. I was very shocked and I asked " why would they schedule a doctors appointment for me on a day that you didn't have time?" Firstly I completely explained my situation to the person that made appointment. To make a long story short I explained how disappointed I was and the many sacrifices I made to even come today. I know the dr. could tell I wasn't thrilled. He was able to fit me in that day. I was very upset but ended up leaving satisfied. I really appreciate the accommodations he made to fit me. #1 Dentist. I went there for maybe 10 years and referred all my coworkers. He accepted every insurance I ever had. There were games on the ceiling and sunglasses for when they shine that light in your face. And there is a nice view in a nice office building. Dr. Amato is fantastic. I recently took a puck to face resulting in a lost tooth and several chips in others. I called Dr. Amato's emergency number and amazingly he came in at 11PM to fix me up. He was able to save the tooth that was knocked out and repair the others that evening - he even stitched my lips up where I had bitten threw. The teeth look like nothing happen and I could not be more grateful. If you are looking for a dentist this is the place to be - as long as they are practicing dentistry I will happily be one of their most loyal patients and that's a guarantee. read more

I honestly can't say enough good things about Dr. Amato and the LeCuyer Dentistry practice. I have been going there for probably 10 years now, and I am truly a satisfied patient. Dr. Amato is personable and shows genuine care for his patients, and my longtime hygienist Debbie is AWESOME! I never feel like extra services and procedures are being pushed on me, and I actually really enjoy visiting with Debbie and the doc. The office staff does a great job with reminders, too. We had to stop going to Le Cuyer because it became too expensive and we have really good insurance. The problem is the girl at the Receptionist desk who claims you owe her money for the office visit, even if you have insurance. She will not bill your insurance, ever. Going there to get my teeth cleaned and the girl claimed I needed 4 cleanings a year when I always get 2 cleanings a year and I have no issues with my teeth. Walking out of the office past the Reception desk I was told I owed her money for my cleaning when if she had checked my insurance I am allowed up to 4 cleanings a year and they are fully paid for. I could not afford to give that Receptionist y credit card anymore for every visit. After each visit I had to have a 3 way call with my insrance and they helped me get a refund. Getting a night guard the Receptionist claimed I owed her $400.00, however if she had checked with my insurance as I had it is fully paid for my our insurance. Once again I had to call insurance to help me get a refund. Full payment is apparently required at this business, as they were unwilling to bill our insurance. read more

Went in for a regular cleaning, was told that I need 5 fillings but that the front desk girl would call and get an estimate from my insurance. Scheduled the appointment, and was told that when they talked to my insurance, I would only owe $250 out of pocket. Look at my credit card statement a week later, and I see a charge for $1424 from them on my account. Call and realized that not only did they lie when they said that they had called my insurance, I had maxed out my benefits for the year and they will charge me the full amount. No phone call as a heads up, not willing to work with me, nothing. Will not be going back! $1424 is a huge difference from my original quote. read more

I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with some of the other reviews on here. While the office was perfectly pleasant, I wouldn't go out of my way to describe the people there as particularly warm or outgoing. I have had but a couple of cavities in my LIFE, and somehow left this first appointment being told that I needed to have SEVEN cavities filled. I take good care of my teeth, I wouldn't expect 7. Further, they were unable to complete the cleaning in one session, and I was told I had to come back a second time to finish it up. Not exactly great news given that I'm covered for two cleanings a year. I was making inquiries about Invisalign, and conveyed some concerns relayed to me about me in particular using it by a dentist I had visited while living in the UK. Instead of addressing the UK dentist's concerns as valid, rather, it seemed their opinion was completely irrelevant given that "that's not the way things are done here in the US". End result? I have zero trust in Dr. Amato's professional opinion, and view his approach as purely money grabbing. The need for a second appointment (where they stand to make more money from me), only helped to reinforce this view. My teeth aren't profit, they need to last me the rest of my life! I have held off on making this posting, so I could post the results of the evaluation of my new dentist. Based on second opinion, I have only 3 cavities. You be the judge. read more

WOW, what a great place to have dental work done. I have come here for years and I find everything superior. The office personnel is friendly and accommodating. The workplace is spotless and very well run. It has a great vibe and ALL the employees work hard. The two negative reviews below do not make sense. One reviewer says she did not believe she had 7 cavities hmmm..... just look at the X-Ray. I have had my teeth cleaned every six month and I brush them a few times a day and I am out in the allotted time, without new cavities. Perhaps Kerry F. should brush her teeth more often..... Absolutely the best dentist I have had the pleasure - yes, pleasure - of visiting. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, the hygienists are knowledgeable and thorough, and Dr. LeCuyer is receptive and kind towards his patients. Every single silly question, concern, or comment I have has never been an issue and is addressed promptly with a complete answer or explanation. Plus, it's all of the little things they do, too, like finishing your cleaning with a little bit of moisturizer on your lips which sounds weird but is TOTALLY awesome. Dr. Amato did basic/routine checkup/talk but since this was my first time I was mainly looking for recommendations and any treatment needed. I just had the best experience I've ever had at a dentist with Dr. LeCuyer. The whole team is so friendly and patient. I have had a bad experience when I was quite young with a dental dam that was place poorly, slipped off, and choked me. Since then, despite knowing I shouldn't be scared, I still panic when I have one in place. Dr. LeCuyer's staff were very patient with me (the nitrous helped, too!). They took their time and didn't seem annoyed when I expressed some of my nervousness. Also - I have never been numbed as properly as I was today. They could have taken a sledgehammer to me and I wouldn't have felt it. But, despite being that numb, I didn't have any of the annoying droopy, weird face afterwards. The whole experience was fantastic from check-in to check-out. Additionally, the front desk staff is very friendly and didn't give me any issues with having to pay my bill with Care Credit. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think my fear of dentists is gone now! read more

I'm not a particularly good dental patient, and haven't seen my previous dentist (whom I didn't really love anyway) for some time. So, when I broke my tooth last night at dinner, I went into a bit of a panic. Not only because my front tooth was broken, but I have to leave town for business on Monday. Though I am not a current patient of theirs, I called LeCuyer & Amato on a wing and a prayer. The receptionist was amazing. When I called at 10:48 and explained my situation she said that she could get me in at 11:10 if I could make it there in time. She looked up my insurance information while I was on the phone with just my employer name, and had all my paperwork ready when I got there. The hygienist and the dentist (Dr. Amato) were equally helpful and kind. They reassured me, then fixed my chipped tooth very quickly and without pain, and I walked out the door with an imperceptible fix in under 40 minutes. I made an appointment for cleaning for the week after next! :) read more

Love the dentist. BUT. The staff... I was just in. I need more buttons, as some of mine have fallen off. They tall white woman who whisked in 1) didn't listen that I would be on vacation, 2) told me she'd just lengthen my appointment when my daughter is coming in with me. When I said, no, you won't, she's not missing school to sit around here, she said "you can just come in early and we have lots of iPads." No, actually, I can't. That doesn't work for us. Here's a novel approach: instead of telling me what to do, or how to parent, ASK me what works for me. ASK me a question. And then, definitely DO NOT say out loud that you can just have the front desk "deal with me." Get some people skills, or don't come near me. I'm not interested if you can't even bother to ask a question. read more

Do not let yourself come within 10 feet of this place! They are total scammers. I was seen at this office a couple of years ago and given a quote of over $3,000 in dental work, including a crown for a "broken" tooth, filling cavities and repairing old fillings. Since then I have been to not just one but TWO other dentists who came highly recommended, and both gave me a 100% clean bill of health on my mouth! Not a single cavity, no fillings needing to be replaced and no broken tooth! Just sensitivity from my TMJ. And the worst part is that they didn't even address my TMJ, which was/is my biggest problem. They also did a lousy job of cleaning for a very high price. read more
