You won't know until your second donation when you look confused about the amount like I was. The app didn't even show aything about lapsing. I tried to call, and chat with their support team. Just given the run around about speaking to a manager who has yet to contact me.

I know the rubber strap used to find veins is meant to be tight, but she kept yanking on only one side which resulted in my skin being pinched and stretched that it folded in on itself. On top of that, my friend who shall remain nameless was barred from donating solely due to their sexual orientation, despite having a clean bill of health and testing negative for all STD's.

I wanted to know which would be more helpful and was informed that giving platelets would be more helpful, however, it would take 1.5 to 2 hours. I had the time so I opted to donate platelets. Once I went to the donation chair everyone was super nice and accommodating making sure I had drinks and snacks to keep me comfortable. The process did take 2 hours but I left knowing I would want to donate again and would return to this location.
