Don't buy your glasses here. Paid extra for scratch resistant glasses. Both lens had scratches in less than a month. I never dropped them and had them in a case when not in use. I had multiple glasses and this never happened. read more

Went in for my routing exam and prescription. Dr. Simpson did a lot of different eye exams and then had me come back for more exams so I had to pay 2 different co-pays. I get the impression that she loves money. I wanted to order my frames online because they have a better selection and mush lower price. If you want to save money, do not go to her office!!! Eyes of Texas in Bryan, TX did not have any frames I wanted and they are way overpriced. I just wanted frames that were more my style and fit my face. Simpson did not want to give me a prescription. My existing glasses were scratched up and needing replacement. My optometrist at TREC retired so I got an appointment with Sue Simpson at Eyes of Texas. I took the new prescription to Costco and ordered new glasses. When the glasses came in I could barely see anything clearly. Costco said that they may take time to get used to. After wearing them for a day and a half I called the Eyes of Texas and they said to take the glasses back to Costco to make sure that the prescription was filled correctly. I took them back to Costco who confirmed that the prescription was filled correct. I took the glasses back to the Eyes of Texas because I knew that something was not correct. I was told in the optical shop that my prescription had changed so drastically and that at my age it might take a month to get used to it. I told them that I cannot read 1/2 inch letters from ten feet away and that I cannot see leaves on the trees at 100 yards with the new presciption. I was told that with this new prescription that was not possible any longer. When I told them that I could see all of that with my old, scratched up glasses, I was told that they could give me a new prescription for my old glasses but that was not recommended. I asked to speak to Sue Simpson and they said that she was busy. I asked that she call me when she was available. A young man called me the next day to ask what I needed and I told him about this debacle. He encouraged me to wear the glasses for a month and that I would get used to them. I again asked to speak with Sue Simpson and was told that she was busy. I asked that she call me at some point in the next couple of days when she became available. Sue Simpson called me and asked me what I needed. I explained the problem and she said that I needed to wear the glasses longer. I asked if it was possible that the prescription was wrong and she replied, "It's possible for anyone to make a mistake." When I asked her about the nonsense that I was told in her optical shop she assured me that I must have misunderstood her employee. She then offered to write a prescription matching my old glasses. She never offered to recheck my eyes to make sure that the prescription was correct. I made an appointment with Texas Regional Eye Center and had a routine eye exam. I got a new prescription and took it Costco, who remade my glasses for free. It took about 5 minutes to get used to this slightly different prescription. My new prescription was +1.50 and +1.25, not +2.50 and +2.25. No wonder I was walking around nauseated for a day and a half. The Eyes of Texas prescription was +1 off in both eyes! I can now read 1/2 inch letters at 10 feet and see the leaves on the trees at 100 yards. The customer service at TREC was top notch as always. Costco hit a home run. Eyes of Texas, not so much. read more

Dr. Simpson was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process. She explained everything thoroughly and I enjoyed my visit! The only thing I would complain about is the location of the bench in front of the help desk due to a lady who stood in front and was close enough to the bench that she cropdusted me (my face specifically). GET EST. COST BEFORE GOING TO BACK!!! This place will complete extra unnecessary exams just to collect insurance money from your HEALTH insurance and not tell you about the insurance FILING until check out. My son and I went in for just our route eye exam and they charged us 3X as much as our previous provider. We have VISION insurance and still paid as much as we would without insurance for our route eye exam because they chose to do extra exams to file claim with health insurance. The front desk personnel did not fully explain their reasoning behind the extra extensive exams. I fully believe they rank up the exams just collect insurance money. Not only were we there over 2 hours but the office was very disorganized with their patients in the back exam office. read more

Fantastic place. I came in here last week in such a haze, my only pair of glasses had broken and I have terrible vision, in my opinion. The staff here took great care of me. They tried finding multiple solutions for me! They did not get aggravated with me when I was being picky and they did not rush me out either. They spent their time making sure I was pleased. I got fitted for contacts that day, which really saved me because I wouldn't have been able to work without seeing. I will soon be back for my new glasses! read more

This business treats their patients like used car salesmen treat their marks. Heavy sales tactics and misrepresentation of the product and all the while telling you you can return the item. Linda, the office manager is rude and demeaning and is not truthful to patients. With so many great eye care professionals in town steer clear of this one. They are awful! read more

Eyes of Texas is the best eye care center I have ever been lucky enough to visit. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. Dr. Simpson is wonderful and everyone made sure I was getting the best out of my insurance. This is my eye care center from now on! read more

If I could give zero stars I would, but I can't so 1 star it is. I am appalled at what I witness when I walked into this place on 4/8/2022. They had 1.... That's right 1 employee working at the front, the phones were ringing off the hook. She was with another customer, apologized to me for having to wait and said she would be with me shortly. I asked if there was someone else who could help me.... No one came. I just wanted to book and appointment and to see about getting my glasses adjusted. I waited about 15 minutes with no help at all, so I left taking my business down the road to Green Eyes. After what I witnessed, I know Eyes of Texas is not a place I trust with my eyes. read more
