I have donated a few times and each time I come there are problems. Firstly the employees are rude. I am a very nice and patient person but half the staff are cold and rude to deal with. They treat you like your a number not a person if they are willing to acknowledge you. The wait times are utterly ridiculous. a return appointment is quoted to be an hour and a half. That is a load of garbage. My wait time just to get my finger pricked was over an hour PAST my appointment time constantly. read more

I use to go to the Biomat in Nashville those people are so nice and willing to educate you on anything so I transferred because I moved to Clarksville my experience here was horrible I asked white lady probably mid 30s early 40 short and chubby who works on floor and takes weight etc a question about their machine she was sooooo rude to me like never met someone so mean to patients my whole time delivering plasma. Daughter and I have been coming for a few months. Everyone is very nice and helpful. My fingerprints won't scan so I have to be signed in by staff- they know me by sight & usually pull my chart before I even get inside. My daughter comes once a week & I usually go twice. Of course we have our favorites to hook us up on machines or take us down. My left arm is a tough stick so only 2 of the girls are able to hit the vein. I've only been bruised once and ended up having to wait almost 2 weeks to come back- that person no longer removes my needle. The first visit is always the longest when you're new. Allow at least 4 hours to go the process. Eat before you go & you need lots of water day before & day of donation. I usually try and eat a small snack afterwards too as if I wait to long I get light headed and once I passed out.... lesson learned! I wish there was a restroom accessible from donation area so that you can go just before hook up- you know all that water you're drinking !! There are many Tv's around to watch with closed cation on since you really can't hear them very good. They do appreciation days a few times a year & you can get cake, sodas, pizza etc that they supply after you donate. Like their FB page to keep up with events. I try not to use any of my donation money. I let it build up & hopefully we can use it for a weekend get away or to go do something fun this summer. read more

I was apprehensive of going to this center, it's the only one in Clarksville, and they were offering $400 less for your first month than CSL in Nashville. My apprehension grew after the fist visit took 4 hours, the 2nd visit took 3, the 3rd visit took 3 AND your phlebotomists had to use BOTH arms, then today after waiting 40 minutes, I'm told both arms are too bruised to donate. Of course they are, because your centers pay their employees too little for experienced phlebotomists to apply there, so you have fresh out of school Jane doe digging in people's arms, then they're refused from donating because of said bruising. But, if I want to waste another 40 minutes of my life on your center, they'll check my arms again Sunday. Y'all have already wasted 11 hours of my time for 3 donations, so I think I'll just work 20 hours OT a month and pass on donating my plasma because your centers are understaffed, undereducated, and under experienced. read more

Everyone in there is usually very happy and helpful there are a couple people in the back that are gentle and will stick you with no pain my favorite is a lady by the name of Vivian. Whenever I go there if she's there I request her by name. She deserves to be recognized and maybe an increase in pay because she's so great with customers. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE I'll be honest I've never posted a review before but in the case of this location I felt I had to I've been donating for years now I've been to different locations from CSL, BioLife, octapharma, BPL and yes even biomat so with that being said Like to say I've had experience of the process but never have I been as frustrated as I am with this location which from other reviewers seems to be a common problem that these people never answer their phones I've tried and tried many times to schedule an appointment for the past week now and I've called on time and never get through and finally when they do answer they say they are booked first time I figure they were just busy but after turning into a week everyday trying there is a major problem with this place like I've said I've donated with biomat before in a different state and have had good experiences but this location I've never been so frustrated it isn't good business to not answer or only have selective people they bring in it's a complete waste of time read more

I started going because my friend referred me and a buddy back in November 2015. Then they told us that if you refer a friend it's $50 per person. They also mentioned that after January, any referrals would be $25. So me and my buddy went approximately 4 times each before January so that my friend could get $100. The very unprofessional "cashier" Fransisco (I think is his name) said that she could not get the full $100 because she needed to tell them she referred us and we went at least 2 time before January. Then they give you a coupon book that you can use after so many visits for extra cash. My buddy and I miss places it in our car. Fransisco told us we can come back that Friday when he's working so that we can use the coupon. So we did, and he said "no I can't do that". They have a new cell phone policy where you cannot use any electronic devices while donating. They only enforce this policy for some people. I've donated 8 times and when I go it take me over an hour to complete my donation. I've counted over 40 people donating using their cell phones and they only enforced the policy with 6 donors. The overall "feel" between employees and donors is rude and cocky. Some employees were displaying very unprofessional behavior. I witnessed 3 occasions when an employee name Victoria bad mouthing another employee (Shea) because she took a smoke break. The way they treated her appeared as though she was new, and obviously the underdog of the bunch. I witnessed the manager, I think her name is Chris, (who was nice and personable with me) bad mouthing a new female employe who was working in "the box". Stating to another employee name Sarah that "she doesn't know how to do anything right". Sarah seemed to really know her job. She didn't seem to have any "customer service" skills and had a kind of cocky attitude, but she appeared to know what she was doing. The front desk staff all seemed to have an attitude problem. But overall was nice and accommodating in reason. There was a larger Caucasian female who was rude and unprofessional with most donors she "hooked up". She was really rude to me and I didn't understand why. Shea (the apparent underdog) was really nice and personable. It is unfortunate her coworkers are so rude to her. She appears to be eager to learn. Another employee name Erik I believe was also rather rude and extremely cocky. One day I watched him purposely ignore donors that needed to be disconnected so that other employees would do it. I was one of the donors and I waited approximately 20 minutes before I was disconnected. On my 6th or 7th donation I noticed he's ignored donors who needed to be "hooked up". Instead I watched him just walk around pushing the trash cans from one side of the room to the other. I recently asked if the referral and payment policy was somewhere written. Because there were inconsistencies with the rules. I was informed that it's not written because it changes so frequently. It seemed that it only changed to benefit the facility. My last visit my buddy and I donated. He received $20 and I received $30. They said it's because it depended on the day of week we donate. We have always and only donated together. I have come to this place for the majority of the summer of 2018 and it was for the most part a decent and professional experience. I did not donate during a fall and decided to donate again today which is in the month of December. Now never before in my life have I been so insulted patronized and just treated like absolute garbage as my experience from today. I have never been treated like absolute s*** like these wannabe paranoid nurses treated me. Like I was the scum of the Earth. The majority only care as a nine to five mentality staff. There seems to be a great number of unhappy employees working here. Most of the staff members are not friendly or professional. I have heard several speaking ill of donators. Some of the staff speak of personal affairs on the floor. Sarcasm seems to be prevalent here. The word sarcasm comes from the Greek "sarkázein" which can mean things like "tear flesh." Do you think "flaying" customers is appropriate? Also, using slang like "stuck" for having a needle in someone's arm kind of makes us sound like cattle. I don't really appreciate the sentiment, personally. Staff members also seems to speak ill of Grifol's SOP, shrugging much of it off as superfluous. One example is the need to confirm the identity of a person after walking away. You are all likely aware of issues which arise in medicine when a person is not properly identified. Professionalism is not just about performing a task well, but how you behave while doing it. Aside from the passive-aggressive, and some overtly-aggressive, staff members, the process is fairly efficient and you are paid for your time. The very first visit will be your longest wait. After the 3rd or 4th, your pre-donation interview is abbreviated and you wait typically around 45 mins before being taken in back to have your vitals checked. Afterwards, you are ushered onto the "killing floor", as a staff member would likely put it. read more

So this is my first visit and I've been here just over 4 hours. Iv been told not to leave and not to use the restroom or i wont be able to donate. So here I sit over 4 hours and I have to pee extremely bad no one is paying any attention to me or asking me anything there are over 13 workers here and 2 people currently donating there is no reason I should have to wait this long with the employee/donor ratio if it wouldn't be the fact that id have wasted 4 hours of my day I would get up and leave. I highly doubt ill ever come back or recommend this place to anyone. Im a survival prepper and I write a blog for people prepping on a budget and was considering this place as a recommendation for my subscribers. Unless this is fixed I wont be! read more

Grifols is not a bad place at all as these other reviews make it out to be. I have been going there for over two years and have never had a problem. Yeah there is times you have to wait a bit which most of the time it's because they are short staffed. They can only have so many people stuck at a time per employee that sticks. Then if people call out it makes wait times a little longer but guess what get over it. Look up the word patience in the dictionary and work on having some. Your sitting there to get paid for donating some plasma and nothing else so chill and watch TV or play on your phone. People need to learn to have patience. I was there the other day and waited a little longer then usual to get screened but that's because they only had one screener from being short staffed. It gets really annoying sitting in the lobby hearing people complain and make up stories. If it wasn't for the fact that it would most start a fight which wouldn't bother me honestly I would say something, but I am able to bite my tongue so I don't get banned from donating and in trouble at work. As far as hearing employees talk crap about each other or to each other that's how it goes. I am pretty sure there are a lot of people that complain don't even work anyways. It happens at every job. I have heard plenty of people talking to the employees about other employees so just get it over it. Christina is awesome yeah she is a little rough around the edges but she knows her stuff and is a great leader there. Carmen at the front desk is great always cheerful when I come in. Sarah, Victoria, Lisa, Ashley and anyone I forgot that stick are all awesome as well. They are on there feet all day dealing with rude ass people all day and put up with it. I have conversations with them all the time. I am not the best with names but all the screeners are great to they all know me well we have good chats while I get screened and they are all very nice. The managers there are nice and say hi to people all the time. For anyone I forgot to mention I am sorry but you are all great as well. If you think there rude think about what are they thinking about you and how you talk to them. Goes back to the golden rule treat people as you would like to be treated. The employees are great like I said been going for over two years have no problems with any of them. Sure I'm not the only one but they know me well and when I walk in it's like walking into Cheers, for you younger folks that's s great old show on tv. We're it was friendly and everyone knew everyone. Problem with Grifols isn't Grifols it's the people that go there to donate that are not patient and think they deserve something. Which they are getting some extra cash just to sit there and donate your plasma that is used to save lives especially our SERVICE MEMBERS overseas. Everyone just needs to take a chill pill and relax. Your getting payed to give up a little of your time to get some cash, to use it for whatever you need or want to use it for. Plus it's as simple as this you walk in and see a bunch of people don't sign in turn around walk your ass out and come back later. This place is a complete joke and waste of time. I called about an hour before I showed up to find out what they needed. They wanted to see my current lease agreement as proof of residency then had the nerve to say they wouldn't accept nor would they give me reason as to why they wouldn't accept it. The wait can be pretty long. My first time coming there they need proof of residence, ID and your social security number to get you in the system. You also have to do a physical, they have to prick your finger, and some other things as well. It took me just over 6 hours to go through the whole process and then donate on the first day I went. But after your first time, you don't need to do all of those exams, so it won't take as long. I got $50 for the first time going there, and I think you get that amount the second time, but eventually they won't give you that much every time you go. Also, make sure to bring something warm. It's freezing in there, plus there will be cold saline pumping into your arms, so people often bring blankets. If you're looking for a bit of extra money to make, I would recommend coming here (you're getting paid to just sit leisurely on your phone) . Just make sure you don't have anything planned later on ( if you leave early on the first day, then they have to start over the whole process) and just make sure that you wear something warm so you don't shiver with a needle in your arm like I did! read more

I waited for 3 and 1/2 hours just for them to tell me I couldn't donate because they couldn't find a vein. They really need to check for that before they have people wait 3 and a half hours for nothing The system they have is just ridiculous. read more
