I've been coming here since 2014 so I've seen the staff rotate across the years. They've all been extremely friendly and accommodate as much as possible. I see a lot of people in the reviews state a lot of jargon but the final word is this is a facility and they have to follow state laws and very strict regulations from higher ups (no they cannot break the rules). Even at times I would even disagree and feel a little perturbed. But the phlebotomists and screeners try to help and be as informative as possible. I would just double check with head of staff everything you need for your first time in and get a name to reference back to. Other then that yes the bonuses are great, easy process, cleanest facility I've ever seen. Once you become a regular you'll be treated like one to the whole staff and it will make the processes go much smoother. All of them are greatly trained and I hardly ever feel the stick if you come here twice a week on the regular like I do. Anyways it's always good to help others and get some extra cash so there's honestly no reason for you to not do it if you're able to. read more

Very disappointing experience. I was deferred due to a screening test, which is understandable. What is not understandable is the refusal to even review documentation from a licensed physician confirming that I am negative. I was told they will not consider any outside medical documentation until their internal secondary test comes back, regardless of what a doctor has already confirmed. Even more concerning was the behavior of the manager, Jeff. When I asked reasonable questions to understand the process, I was told I would "continue to be confused" unless I read their SOP. That is not an acceptable way to speak to anyone, especially a donor who is simply asking for clarification. There is a clear lack of professionalism and basic respect in how concerns are handled at this location. Policies may exist for a reason, but dismissing people instead of explaining them reflects poorly on management. If this is how donor concerns are addressed, it raises serious questions about accountability and customer care. I hope someone at a higher level takes a closer look at both the policy enforcement and the conduct of leadership at this center. read more

This place makes donating ridiculously difficult for very ridiculous reasons. After finally making my first donation, a few days later I tried again. The tiny bruise on the previously used arm was unacceptable and they decided they didn't like the veins in my other arm. So, now I'm "deferred" and can't even schedule an appointment to try again. That deferment is indefinite until I walk in to have my veins checked. Stupid. I'll find another, less ridiculous, place to help. read more

I have previously donated my plasma at xxxx pharma plasma center here in Denver several times with out a single issue. I had made a switch to Grifols to take advantage of there new Downer pay outs. This proved to be a very negative experience with very bad results. My first donation was smooth with out issue. Second was a failure with reposition attempts and multiple restricts. Left the center with both arms wrapped in ice packs and a return of blood failure. The reposition attempts seemed extreme with the so called vain specialist cranking the needle sideways creating the needle area to swell significantly. They sent an other employee to insert a new needle into my other arm. He seemed to be uncopident and had a so called vain specialist direct him which vain he should use. The needle looked to be placed a bit on the deep side and after about 10 minutes the location swelled up. They pulled the needle without a full blood return. Both my arms in countered bruising that took a week and a half to go away. I went back after I got rid of the bruising to have yet again a failure that required reposition attempts and three restricts. After spending an other week plus using ice and heat to cure the bruising. I went back to give a donation to find out they put me on a list that required me to be reviewed by there vain specialist. They acted as if there was a problem with my veins and told me to do exercises and come back in a week and a half. This left me frustrated and they acted as if I was the problem. I returned to xxxx pharma and had a completely smooth donation with no issues. My personal experience with Grifols was very bad. Multiple times with bruising and trauma to my arms. The team on the floor seemed to me as lacking compliance and having issues with inserting the needle correctly. I did not ever feel like that when I donated at Octo pharma. Never a issue with them missing a vain or leaving there center bruised. read more

Great place to donate! I love how you can make an appointment...that saves so much time! I've always gotten in quickly and the staff makes you feel comfortable. They are so friendly. There are 11 televisions in the donation area so you can watch TV from any seat. I like how the pre-testing areas are private as well. As you are waking out they provide water bottles and snacks. I used to donate at CSL, but it was unbearably slow every time (1st visit was 6 hours, following about 3+). I tried Grifols out, and I'm so glad I did! Their process is so painless. You can make an appointment on the app, and they're incredibly prompt with seeing you. The vitals part is sooo fast, you don't have to wait in a huge line, and you're sent back to donate and have an IV in you within minutes. My first time took 2.5 hours and following visits take about 1.5 hours. Highly recommend read more

I kept getting noticed that they are in need of donations, but they must not need them or corporate should know its employees are turning away clients, i showed up 1hr 15 mins before closing and said due to staffing issues they couldn't see me today. These people sent out a you can be a secret shopper only to deny me.. Extreme disrespect, the estacian or whatever can't stop talking with her lack of experience and blames me the customer. And the staff makes rude comments because they have too. Extremely rude and disrespectful and very prejudice. And many many times have been like stared at and been told what um mental problems compared to the staff. Their mistakes are very liable and not a very good company. Worst customer service out of every Plasma place around , they don't even answer their phone or return their calls

I'm not at all surprised by the low rating of this place. As someone who has worked in healthcare, use a LOT of caution going here. They have multiple health and quality control issues. 1. Their new patient paperwork has you circle areas where you have piercings or tattoos. They don't have you list the number, date you got them - just a circle. Because of this, they blame you if there are any inconsistencies. I filled out my initial paperwork and circled my bellybutton. I have 2 piercings there, but you can only circle the bellybutton once, so I didn't see any issue. They said everything was good and that was that. Fast forward to my next physical exam when they saw 2 bellybutton piercings. They put a negative mark on my account because apparently this was my fault for not specifying. I didn't come again for about 8 months because I got a new tattoo (so I wanted to be honest), and realized they didn't have my correct number of piercings for my ears either. I only even knew this would be an issue because of the bellybutton incident, so I specified after circling the ears that I had multiple piercings in each. Due to being honest, they decided it was another inconsistency to my initial paperwork and told me I couldn't come back. This is just poor quality control. Here's an idea - specify the info you are looking for instead of just telling people to circle where they have piercings or tattoos. What if someone has 10 face tattoos? Do you want them to circle their face 10 times? If they were to follow the same logic for tattoos, I would need to circle my arm several times because I have a sleeve and it was multiple sessions, so even though it's one giant tattoo, it counts as more than one, right? The logic is god-awful. 2. Like others mentioned, there is an issue with their needle stickers (I don't know if they are CNAs, students, or what) as I have had massive bruising and they have had to stick me multiple times to find my vein on several occasions. You shouldn't have to fear whether or not they will hit your vein each visit. 3. 2 health issues - one of the employees didn't have their mask up over their face the entire time they were talking to another person, and another had a very heavy cough. This place is clean the staff are nice and they take making sure you are safe seriously. I highly recommend if you're going to donate plasma to consider this location. They make it as quick and easy as they can. It's a win win. Make some extra cash and help people. read more

Worst run business I've ever seen. They tell you one thing then ask you for something different. Make your mind up people!! I wasted 2 hours with them getting information together on what they specifically told me was required. Then I wasted another 2 hours for them to review what they said to get- ONLY TO HAVE A DIFFERENT EMPLOYEE SAY THEY WANTED SOMETHING ENTIRELY DIFFERENT. Trifold people are dumber than chipmunks. I've been going here for a few months, but the last two times I have received large bruises from the employees which have made it so I can't donate and get the money I need for my bills not to mention it was very painful. The girl knew she messed up and had someone else fix it without so much as an apology. I called the center where I donated after and got hung up on by a manager and then called customer service and was told I'd get a call back and never received one. I understand mistakes happen, but what separates a good business from a bad one is making up or apologizing for your mistakes. Making your customers pay for your employees mistakes in the form of missed compensation and physical pain does not seem like an ethical way of doing business. read more

Discriminatory Treatment Due to Disability I'm a below-the-knee amputee on my left leg. No big deal, we just subtract the weight of the prosthesis to calculate my actual weight, and we're all set. I have to explain this "procedure" to each employee who performs my health screening, and a few have been very hesitant about even allowing me to donate because of the leg issue, but otherwise, no big deal. Unfortunately, today, my knee was swollen (overdoing it on the To Do list), so I was unable to wear my prosthesis to this morning's appointment. After arriving on my knee scooter, I went to the Questionnaire Kiosk, completed the health questions, and then I approached their Front Desk to tell the staff that I would be right back with my blanket (comes in handy with the cold saline). All of the staff behind the desk ignored me, except for one woman, who approached me while carrying my file. This woman (whom I had never dealt with before) informed me that since I was using a knee scooter instead of my prosthetic leg, that I would not be able to complete the health screening. Being "less than a whole person" made it "impossible to measure an accurate weight". She followed up by saying that it is "Federal Law" that I must be able to "stand on two legs to be weighed during the health screening". How do you think I weigh myself at home? Not with a knee scooter, and seldom with a prosthesis. I am perfectly capable of balancing on my remaining foot long enough to stand on their scale. Just please don't tell the FBI, as I'm a single mom, and don't need any Federal charges... I left the State of Wisconsin because I was officially "less than a whole person" for the twenty-seven years I was stuck in that hole. I left the Grifols Plasma Center five years later because letting that phrase, "less than a whole person" fall out an employee's face is disgustingly ignorant and hateful, and I don't deserve that treatment, here or in my birth state. So, I did a search on Plasma Centers nearby, and saw that there is a BPL Plasma Center a few blocks away, east on Colfax. They have no such qualms about their donors missing limbs. I am now a Plasma Donor at BPL instead of Grifols/Biomat. Their staff are friendly, professional, and believe that "we are all whole people". Great place to go if you need a little extra $$$. The staff is very nice and the wait time is pretty quick. They even add in bonuses and contest drawings if you donate several times a month. I would have given them a higher rating, however they have not update their hours on google. As a result, I ended up there when they were closed and was not able to donate. I'm extremely busy and this messed up my plans for the week. read more

Bad reviews= temper tantrums for adults. I'm glad I ignored the reviews and gave this place a try. Every staff member was extremely courteous, and they didn't keep me waiting long on a Sunday morning. They have a strict list of people that they cannot accept due to federal regulations, NOT because they want to give you a hard time. They are simply doing their job. That being said, I wasn't able to donate on my initial visit because my veins aren't large enough. For my safety, I have to come back in a few days. I was compensated for my time. They have a special for February. $80 a donation. Your donations save lives. Don't be butt hurt if you can't donate. Blame the government, not the nice people that work here. read more

Here's my story from today after going here for three months... Catherine hooked up my machine and stuck the needle in me. I told Elise that there was no plasma flowing and she thought there was(there wasn't, she was 100% wrong). THERE WAS NO PLASMA SEPARATING AND FALLING DOWN. I CAN TELL ELISE BECAUSE THERE WERE BUBBLES FLOATING UP. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS FOR THREE MONTHS I KNOW WTF IT LOOKS LIKE BECAUSE I HAVE A HABIT OF PAYING ATTENTION TO MY ENVIRONMENT. The bubbles NEVER float up when the plasma is separating, I watch this shit I know. A fault in Catherine hooking up the machine lead to it leaking a bunch of my blood all over that disqualifies me from doing plasma for 8 weeks(600 dollars). Elise could have prevented this whole thing by noticing that there wasn't any plasma going down the plasma line when I told her! Completely preventable mistake, I told her my machine wasn't right and she looked at it and thought I was being dumb or something.... Here's the complaint I wrote online to them, they limited it to 2000 characters so I edited it and left out some information, like the fact I totally think to tell the manager any of this when he talked to me one-on-one. "I had a completely preventable accident today at your Lakewood, CO location. A staff member named Catherine hooked my machine up and stuck the needle in me. I should also mention I've been doing this for about three months. Anyways, on my second "run" of having blood drawn and plasma separated, I noticed that there was no more plasma coming down the plasma line into the plasma collection bottle. I told a staff member named Elise(I think it's spelled differently) that my machine was not separating plasma and SHE PROCEEDS TO ACTUALLY TELL ME I AM WRONG AND EVERYTHING IS FINE. So I say "okay" and try arguing just a little bit as I can clearly see bubbles going up the line. As is pretty obvious, bubbles GOING UP THE LINE IS A CLEAR INDICATION THAT THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT PRESSURE SEPARATING AND PUSHING THE PLASMA INTO THE COLLECTION VESSEL ELISE! Basically she establishes that everything is okay and at that point the machine is giving me back the RBC's. On the third "run" of the machine drawing up blood, I noticed that there is a huge rush of plasma that forces itself down the line. A couple minutes later I notice that the plasma line is turning dark and red, like it was being cut/mixed with blood. Well I call Mike over and he addresses the situation just fine. Catherine had hooked the machine up improperly and I guess the machine "ate" a line and I lost a decent amount of blood(maybe 350ml) to the floor. I now cannot donate for 8 weeks, which is $600. This could have been prevented at the time when Elise came up to my machine and observed it for error, during which time THERE WAS AN ACTUAL ERROR(lack of plasma flow down line) PROVIDING EVIDENCE FOR A DIFFERENT ERROR(incorrect line connection). Instead of investigating my complaint as if I am credible person who knows what is going on, having seen me donate twice a week for the last couple months, she blew it off as if I had no idea what I was talking about when I said "something is wrong with my machine". They should shut down. Never have I seen such horrible service. They gave me every excuse the book. As to why I couldn't donate. From the doctor not being in to my veins being too large. Too large. They even told me that because they were unable to the vein in my left arm they would have to defer me for ever. Lol funny that happened right after my last review on them which was alot like this. I also find it funny Grifols that other centers have found no reason not to poke me. I believe you deferred me because of my last rant on you. As on arrival thru your doors. The lady I spoke to not only knew me. But was quite rude when she pretended to be concerned. Since then every 3rd week they turn my gf away. With the excuse of pilse and what not else. And once they start doing this it will continue for the next two weeks. For some reason they can't take her. Earlier this week they hooked her up to a machine to take her pulse and turned away because as they said. The machine wasn't working right today... The employees love it there of course. They have found away around working and still get paid. I believe they just selectively turn you away. Or knowingly hook you too a machine that's not working properly at the moment and will reject you. This place is by far the worst of the facilies under this name I ever been to.
