Definitely would recommend! Staff is friendly and they take their time to help you. Ample parking. Brisket was dry. Chicken, pulled pork, and ribs were on point! For sides I had the Mac and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, and loaded baked potato. The loaded potato only came with cheese on top not what I was expecting. My favorite side was the baked beans. They were sweet, tangy, and had bits of meat in it. Reminiscent of Bush's baked beans but much better. There's a real smoker in the restaurant! Very cool but you will leave smelling like smoke if it's on. They allow you bring your own brew which is also very cool. Overall I really liked this place and I will be coming back. read more

The service was friendly and kind but the bbq was not my favorite. It was fine, but the ribs were fatty and the shredded pork was dry. The sauces were good; the wasabi inspired sauce was unique. The sides were also okay. The ambiance left much to be desired. The restaurant is located on a desolate strip mall. We could not tell if the restaurant was open or closed. Bird Dog has some of my very favorite food in the Springs. My husband often picks up dinner for us from here and I am so excited for him to get home with it! My favorite is the brisket sandwich on their soft fresh bun with their regular barbecue sauce- it is so yummy and makes me really happy. I also love their potato salad! My husband likes their sausage options and spicier sauces. We both enjoy their baked beans a lot. I appreciate that they have daily specials. I also like that you can get larger portions to go- we got their baked beans and potato salad to serve for our 4th of July party. I'm a good cook but have decided that theirs is better than what I can make! I also bought some turkey and brisket to make sandwiches at home for the week and it was delicious and easy when I didn't have time to cook. We have been eating at Bird Dog BBQ for 20 years. The food has always been wonderful. The service tonight was slow as online orders back up the walk in service. What surprised us tonight was the extreme price increase $30 for 1# smoked turkey & $9 for a brat & the fries were 1/2 of the serving size. We are selective about where we eat out. Delicious BBQ! My dad took me here and although it was super quiet inside, it was definitely worth the stop. They packaged our stuff on disposable plates and cups, it felt because post pandemic or catering ready. But we stayed in and it was clean. The bbq is really good. My dad observed that the pulled pork and brisket had almost NO FAT meaning they take time and care to clean it before serving. They also let you add the sauce meaning you can smother it as much or as little as you like. The brisket was better than the ribs for me. The smoke ring was decent but the brisket was exceptional. I always walk away feeling like they were really careful not to give too much. Drove 1 1/2 to this location, because we heard good things about it. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly staff, two guys. They answered any questions we had about the menu.
