    For some reason whenever I get my annual tag renewal forms it asks me to mail proof of insurance and because of this verification requirement I cannot do the renewal online, which is sad because it'd be very convenient if I could just process it on the web. So, this year I headed to this tag renewal business. I arrived at noon and the place was packed, I grabbed a numbered ticket and waited 45 minutes for my turn. There are chairs in the waiting area and two TVs playing the news. They only accept cash and debit, they don't take checks. It was difficult to find parking and the service was just ok. When I asked why every year I have to show proof of insurance and cannot renew online the attendant answered "I don't know, I'm here to just process your stuff" which I though was not helpful or courteous at all. Overall it's ok.

    I owned a car dealer for the better part of two year. I registered my dealer with this agency only because of the fact that there is not normally too many people here. The employees can be friendly and helpful depending on what side of the bed they woke up on! Overall considering that getting anything done in any other tag agency is like trying to get a small child to learn calculous, this tag agency is great!

    Incredibly rude clerk.. they call out numbers in Spanish. My husband doesn't speak Spanish so he missed his number when they called it out.

    3rd world auto tag agency. No credit cards accepted, no order with the line. People come and go and get expedited service while you wait

In FL, the Motor Vehicles Agency (MVA) issue driver licenses and anything related to that. To register or get license plates/tags, you have to go to another tag/titling agency, not the MVA. Many are run by individual proprietors and process taxes as well. -You should get an appt for MVA services online. If you try to do a walk in - you will be waiting in line for hours and may end up out of luck. -Online appts- keep trying and refreshing the appt browser until you get an appt, look at other offices in less busy areas if you are desperate. I had to keep checking the site multiple times every day for 3 weeks before I found an appt slot a month in the future! Once you get a confirmed appt, you will get an email initially then a day or 2 before the appt date. Print it out and bring it if possible. I saw people having difficulty showing their phone/email to staff. -Bring all your documents. Look online for the required documents. Save yourself and the office stress by being prepared. If it says 2 documents to prove your address, bring them. Don't think you will get away with trying to produce a random document that doesn't have your name and address clearly printed.. think utility bills, credit card, insurance, pay check, 401k docs with your name and address. -There are no forms to fill out ahead of time, the staff fill out everything for you based on the situation. They enter in the info and you can validate on a screen to make sure everything is correct -Free parking but it gets pretty full but I was able to find a spot on a Monday morning. I arrived at 9: 20 and the walk in line was already long -There are 2 lines extending right and left from the entrance. One is for walk ins and the other is for appointments. Make sure you are in the correct line. The line that is on the left (if you are facing the building from the parking lot) is the appointment line. The walk in line had people waiting in the sun. The appointment line was under the building's awning so at least not directly exposed to the sun -There is an employee that checks and will stack you in the order needed based on the appointment time. For reference, when I arrived, 5 people were in front of me. I got into the building about 15 minutes later. (appointment line) -Once inside, you get assigned a number and there is a TV monitor w/ the number and station you should go to. They are also very good about calling out the number out loud. -For the Driver's license at least, I submitted my paperwork, they scan them, vision test, sign a few things, take your photo and then you to go another line for the cashier, pay, and get your license the same day -The entire process with an appointment including waiting in line took about 1 1/2 hour -Once inside, there are chairs and a few vending machines. Room is air conditioned and comfortable. Only feedback is the staff should consider clearly marking the appt vs walk in lines and information on signs. That way, people would not need to keep asking them or asking each other and would avoid some stress. Additionally, it would be nice to provide alcohol or wipes to sanitize the machines for vision testing. This location was surprisingly well run for a MVA (compared to the horribly inefficient Kendall branch) and the staff communicated clearly (English and Spanish) and were professional and helpful. I know a 4 star is highly unusual for a MVA government office, but compared to the lack of care or logic at other branches, this one was good as long as you are educated about what to expect.

They antagonize you behind the glass after you've waited, got all your documents and made a mistake. You lost your chance. No coming back the same day no more walk-ins available You're screwed. The person in charge of these DMV really needs to be fired or retire. And let AI do everything that these people do because it's a joke and I'm tired of paying for it as a taxpayer.

I came prepared -- researched what I needed ahead of time, downloaded the right application, filled it out, and made an appointment online. When I arrived, they checked me in quickly and even escorted me to the right window for service. The office was very clean and organized, so that's an easy five stars. The service was excellent from start to finish -- everyone I interacted with was polite, helpful, and seemed genuinely committed to making the process smooth. The quality of the experience was great too. The instructions online matched what was needed in person, and when I made a small error on my form, the clerk helped me correct it on the spot. The efficiency score, though, takes a small hit. My appointment confirmation never came through by email, and because of that, no one was going to call me over the intercom. Luckily, someone came to get me personally within a minute of sitting down, which made up for it. Still, it shows the system isn't perfect. Lastly, the value of the experience gets four stars. One front-desk clerk got distracted when other customers interrupted us, which slowed things down a bit -- but he was courteous, and I appreciated his effort to get me taken care of once we got back on track. All in all, I was in and out in 15 minutes. That's not just fast for the DMV -- that's record-breaking. Hopefully, reviews like this encourage more people to give this team credit where it's due.. . and more importantly, that this team continues to give people reasons to give it the review that I did. From the start, he was condescending in tone and dismissive of her questions. Instead of providing clear guidance, he gave incorrect and inappropriate information, including a shocking and offensive statement that "American citizens donate 99.9% of the time and Latinos do not 99.9% of the time" when discussing organ donation. This is not only factually false but also discriminatory and unprofessional to say in any workplace, let alone at a government office. On top of that, he erroneously cancelled her appointment during their interaction, which caused further frustration and wasted her time. When he asked if she wanted to register to vote, she said yes, and when she answered what party she wanted, he visibly made a face of disapproval. That kind of behavior has no place at the DMV, where staff should remain neutral and respectful. Throughout the interaction, Gilberto was dismissive, rude, and clearly unwilling to treat my wife with basic courtesy. He acted in a way that was low-vibrational, unprofessional, and cowardly--speaking to her in a way that he would not have dared if I had been present. People like this damage the image of the DMV and further erode public trust in an institution that should serve everyone fairly. My wife went to the DMV for a straightforward name change. Instead, she was subjected to disrespect, false information, and poor service. I filled out the info, paid by credit card, and about a week later, received the motorcycle tag... but not the one for my BMW. After calling Florida Tag Registration, they confirmed the motorcycle renewal but couldn't explain why the car didn't go through (apparently the state uses a third-party system). I was asked to check with my credit card company to see if a refund had been issued and to try again. I followed instructions and resubmitted payment to only to get the same result. At that point, I decided to visit Tropical Auto Tag Agency in person. Gotta say, from the moment I walked in, the process was smooth. I did a quick digital check-in, and less than 15 minutes later, a helpful staff member had my renewal processed. Amazing service, quick, clean, and professional. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because, unlike the $85 I paid online, I was hit with an agency fee and a credit card fee, costing me an extra $25. Years ago, credit card fees were just part of doing business vendors didn't pass that cost on to the customer. Maybe I'm old-school, but when businesses tack on card fees, it feels like a penalty. That said, I still highly recommend this agency for its speed, efficiency, and top-notch service. Just be aware of the added fees.

This guy is on a power trip and unwilling to help anyone. Stay away from this place.
