This past month, I received a notice via mail letting me know I could now conveniently renew both my auto and motorcycle tags online, perfect timing since my birthday is in June. I filled out the info, paid by credit card, and about a week later, received the motorcycle tag... but not the one for my BMW. After calling Florida Tag Registration, they confirmed the motorcycle renewal but couldn't explain why the car didn't go through (apparently the state uses a third-party system). I was asked to check with my credit card company to see if a refund had been issued and to try again. I followed instructions and resubmitted payment to only to get the same result. At that point, I decided to visit Tropical Auto Tag Agency in person. Gotta say, from the moment I walked in, the process was smooth. I did a quick digital check-in, and less than 15 minutes later, a helpful staff member had my renewal processed. Amazing service, quick, clean, and professional. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because, unlike the $85 I paid online, I was hit with an agency fee and a credit card fee, costing me an extra $25. Years ago, credit card fees were just part of doing business vendors didn't pass that cost on to the customer. Maybe I'm old-school, but when businesses tack on card fees, it feels like a penalty. That said, I still highly recommend this agency for its speed, efficiency, and top-notch service. Just be aware of the added fees. read more

He actually wanted me to drive 129 miles to get a bill of sale or have the guy overnight one. Went to another agency and got it done, no questions asked. Totally incompetent and lazy. If I could give it negative stars I would. This place is a total shit show. The "manager" the sits all the way to the left doesn't know her head from her rear end and has a nasty attitude. These incompetent folks removed a valid tag from a vehicle I own and put it on a new vehicle that i purchased. Then when I went to renew the original vehicle I come to find out it had NO TAG! So instead of paying $40 for a renewal now I had to pay over $300 to get a new tag "cause there was nothing they could do" even though it was their mistake. read more

Waited 45 minutes this afternoon with only one person ahead of me and the girl at station 3 spent the 30 of those minutes with the same customer, and the other 15 minutes gossiping and sharing cookies with coworkers. Every customer in the room was visibly irritated and feeling ignored. We're sitting right in-front of you while you disregard our time. So inconsiderate. Sadly I'm docking two stars. Just came in to renew tags and was directed to a digital kiosk with a touch screen in the middle of a pandemic. Even worse, they try to get you to use your phone number so they can "text you when they're ready for you". But if you read a really small sentence at the bottom of a long screen II will see you are opting in to the Kiosk company spamming you with texts (and I'm guessing sell your numbers for others to spam you). That was two stars docked. I'm docking the 3rd star because after I opted to use my name instead of my phone number at the kiosk, the gal who was helping me then asks me for my phone number before she processed the transaction. I asked her why she needed it, and she got defensive and told me I didn't have to give it to her so I didn't. So not only is the Kiosk trying to get your cell number for spamming, they have their front desk folks trying to get it for them as well. Absolutely disgusting. read more

After reading the reviews for this place I was just expecting what others were saying; it turns out my experience went smooth and the lady who serviced me was pleasant. I've returned three times already for different services and it was consistently the same. My recommendation is to have all your paperwork in order since they have to follow the requirements to process whatever your need is. They only accept cash or credit card with a service fee. I get there around 2:46 I tried to ask one of the lady a question while she was alone with no one in front of her, she told me that I have to check myself in in the machine first and wait, wich I did . She turned around and said something in Spanish to the other old lady sitting right behind her , and as she turned back to me she replies that it was too late to have my title printed. That, I was supposed to be there before 3:00 pm in order to have my title print, that in order to have my title print I have to be there at least at 2:00. With no oppologies, no explanations, nothing. . I was pissed . First of alI, I've NEVER heard of such buls**t. I left my job early that day just to make sure that I got there on time and take care of that. Secondly I got there at 2:46 before 3:00 pm... But you know what... I'm not surprised at all. Because while I was sitting there waiting to be call I saw how they were treated other customers. I'm writing this review anyway but honestly they don't care , not even the owner or whoever is in charge Because on one of the window inside there, they have a note saying " PLEASE BE NICE TO OUR EMPLOYEES WE REALLY NEED THEM TO COME BACK TO WORK TOMORROW " . Long story short, I called just to get some information on transferring a motorcycle title and I was transferred twice and finally reached a woman that would not let me talk or ask my question about a service I know they have because a local bank has sent other customers for the same service. However, this woman was so hell bent on not listening to my question. I kept asking her to please let me explain what I wanted to do and she kept interrupting me and saying they don't do that there. Agency has a tag number system that is not honored and people essentially just walk in and skip the line while the employees pay no mind to this and take preference over people. A woman walked in while everyone was waiting to be called, an employee allowed her to skip and she was helped before everyone else. The employees also raise their voice at each other. read more

I literally walked in the door and right up to the counter and in 2 minutes I was paying for my tag. This is great! I do t know if they are always this empty but I am here on a Saturday at 11:15 am and I am done! The only bad thing is that if you pay with a debit card they charge you 3% fee on top of whatever you paid. But I think k that's a small price to pay to go in and out. They accept cash and debit cards only. No credit cards. And the sign in the door says they are open on Saturday until... " you must be inside the lobby by 12:30" I will definitely be coming here in the future for future needs. My regular tag agency always has a wait of about 45 minutes before you can even get up to the counter. One helpful tip us that they are located between the Winn-Dixie and the Dollar Store. Absolute worst! Very unreasonable and difficult to deal with!!! Take your business elsewhere!!! Trying to transfer title to a scooter. First they were not satisfied with a printed copy of a signed Power of Attorney with a copy of my driver's license appointing my son, who was present with his driver's license with matching same last name and address. I provided another original Power of Attorney four days later, the buyer came again late afternoon from Miami Beach and they "stopped doing title transfers at 4:30 PM, even though they close at 5:00! After being driven 50 miles to Kendall, I felt bad and paid for an Uber for his return home. All of this for a used 50cc scooter worth $1,000!!! What a horrible experience! I went there to print my car title and they told me they couldn't do it. They apparently sent some reports Tallahassee at 4:30 was their excuse. I'm not sure why they're sending reports to Tallahassee a half an hour before they close but when I went to the bird tech agency they helped me right away.
