The herbs on the breadsticks meld very well with the cheese you could eat them even without the sauce and enjoy them. The pizza was very good too. The sauce and the crust have a nice flavor to them so even though I got just cheese, the pizza was delicious. Even reheated or cold out of the fridge, the pizza and breadsticks both are great to have as leftovers!

They're even selling slices for $8-$10! I travel a lot and often go get pizza from Chris Bianco in Los Angeles and Phoenix. His pizzas are only around $18-$25 for some of the highest rated neopolitan style pizzas in the nation. Save yourself the financial stress and drive over to Southpaw Pizza. It's much better than PizzAmore. That's what I did and I was able to get two small pizzas and a side of tots for only $25.

I have read many reviews online, and happened to be in the area around dinner time on a Saturday evening. We showed up at the right time, it wasn't quite packed yet. After we sat, a lot of locals started packing, in, and out. Even though they were so busy, the service didn't lack one bit. The women were on top of their game, and we had excellent service. The pizza was delicious, and had an amazing crust. I think we had the Benny's combo with pineapple added, and no onion on half. I took pics, but only after slices were taken. First we arrived 20-30min prior to our reservation. The lady at the front was sooo friendly I was taken back! We asked if we could sit at the bar and get a drink. Of course she said yes. The bar is super cute and I love the hours off-set the restaurant hours so you can enjoy drinks prior to and after dinner. The bar tender was super friendly and you can see he enjoyed his job. The drinks were really good! Our friendly greater came to get us promptly when our table was ready. The table was ready with fresh baked bread and butter. Our waiter was Jessie; what a gem! He was so friendly and helped us with the menu and gave excellent recommendations. We started off with the bar fries (Jessie's recommendation) wow! They were amazing not super heavy and a perfect starter. I had the special which was a NY steak, with Hatch Chili polenta. My steak was perfection and the polenta was delicious. I loved the gravy as well. Superb blend of flavors. We ended the night with the flourless chocolate cake and espresso martini. It came with seasonal succotash underneath the fish but that was grayish, lumpy & also cold, so it was scraped to the side. Most was left uneaten & when offered to have it boxed up, we declined. I know there are not a lot of options in Albany for "fine dining" but this place is not worth the prices they charge.
