My daughter wrestled in McMinnville and my ex-in-laws recommended American Dream Pizza in Corvallis on the way back to Roseburg. They got there before us an ordered. I had looked at the menu on-line and went with the Dream Special. I love tomatoes and thought it was a different experience to have whole slices on top. I got the mini size. We got to the restaurant and appreciated that there was so much parking available. The inside is quirky. It was bright and open and inviting. It was pretty busy when we got there at 5:30. When I got my pizza, I ended up eating the tomato slices on their own (I sprinkled on a little salt). The toppings underneath were good - Italian Sausage, American Bacon, Mushroom, Black Olive, Fresh Tomato. The crust was so boring. If I'm going to eat carbs, I want them to be worthwhile. This crust would have been a waste of calories so I scraped off the toppings and left the crust. My pizza was a thinner crust, so I took a bite of my daughter's thick crust and I had to drink water to help get it down. Super disappointing because it looked so good! Maybe the intent is to dip it in a sauce? I don't know. Part of their claim to fame is that President Obama stopped in for a slice of pie several years ago. The picture is cool to see. Friendly service and waited a reasonable amount of time for our 16" pizza. They did an excellent job with toppings for our Dream Special (minus tomato). I had two issues- one was the amount of salt in that pizza...we guzzled water the rest of the day; and two- the price of pizza for three people... the only thing that felt it helped make up for the cost was the amount of toppings. Not sure if less meat would be a ton less salty but holy moly all three of us would have put our mouths on a fire hose if it had helped hydrate us!! read more

Called in an order for 2 pizzas. 30-35 Mins. Sounds good. We don't live here. We were just driving through and we love American dream. Well I arrive 30 mins later. Ummm we have t even made your order. I'm like what!!! No one called us or anything changing the pick up time. Was told another 30-35 mins. I'm like we are literally driving through can you call us when pizza is done. No. I'm like what? Why it was your mistake! I will not be stopping any more when we are driving through Corvallis. The ambiance gives small town pizza place. The service can take a while so be prepared. Also the dough can be inconsistent. The menu is large and there are a lot of great combinations and options (topping wise and dietary preference wise). If deciding between a mini size and two regular slices, do the two regular slices. The pizza crust was dry, and lacked taste, as if salt or olive oil was missing. I ordered fresh tomato but it came in bicycle slices (minor point here) when I had expected diced. Service was super friendly and accomodating. I had to raise my hand to identify myself for my pizza, while sat at a table. No table numbers or pick up style. Just ʻHey! Joe? Joe!', auctioneer style. Not offensive just interesting. Atmosphere? Bright, too bright for me. I prefer vampire conditions on a Friday night at 8:45pm, so itʻs not a fair comment, but thatʻs me. Do you like pizza? So do I. So I decided to try the downtown Dream again. I was skeptical, but hey - things can change. Sometimes they don't. Yes, they have an array of quality toppings. That's always a plus. The red sauce is OK. They even build a decent pizza. The crust though? How can two locations of the same business create such different food items? If you like pizza and a nice variety of toppings, go on up to the campus Dream. Skip the downtown dream unless you just happen to be downtown and can't manage to wait another minute to get a slice. Just don't be too optimistic. Salads are pretty weak, especially for the asking price. Lunch special is a lot less special than it should be. I do want to go down and visit the rooftop again some time. Outdoor seating is always nice. Even if the scenery is downtown and other buildings, it's still nice to eat and drink al fresco. Maybe I'll get up my courage and go down to try it when the weather gets better, but maybe I'll wait another year or two. read more

I have been dreaming of the day I'd get to eat one of these amazing pizza's since I graduated. This was my go-to spot for whatever occasion, back in the day when I lived in Corvallis. So I trekked my way down to this lil ol' college town just to grab a slice. And ended up with a whole pizza. I ordered a large pepperoni with half pineapple and half jalapenos, nothin' fancy. I dined in instead of taking out, and it was a Saturday evening so I figured I'd be waiting a while. I'm super glad I got a Rose Wine from Bold Leaf (by Two Towns Ciderhouse) to help alleviate my hunger. After 35 minutes, my pizza came out hot and ready for me to devour. I wish I could say it was as delish as I remembered, but alas I had to knock it down a star because it was waaayyyy overbaked. The outer crust was super crunchy, almost inedible. What wasn't overcooked was just as fabulous as I remembered it. Not overly greasy. I did find the addition of jalapenos to be very limited - they added way more pineapple than that. Easy fix. I just used a lot more crushed pepper flakes than I liked. Overall, I enjoyed my pizza. I was very happy with all the leftovers I walked out with. :) read more

Took over 2 hours to get a single pizza, when it did arrive it was cold and missing two slices. My friends table also took 2 hours and got given the wrong pizza. They said it would be another 45 minutes for them to remake it so they were stuck with the wrong pizza. Completely unacceptable. read more

I had read reviews prior to going and thought I would give it a try. Others said to expect a longer wait than normal so I was super patient. I ordered a pepperoni mushroom and sausage pizza to go and went and sat down. After an hour and 10 minutes plus I finally went and asked the person at the counter about it. "Oh, they put it on a shelf and forget about it"....like it happens all the time. So I took my cooling pizza to my hotel and ate part of it. It was OK but lacked sauce and really was just kind of pedestrian. I don't mind waiting if that is necessary but I was not happy about how that played out and then the pizza just being kinda whatever. They need to get their stuff together and figure out how to make sure to go orders are handled properly because after a long day, it is not a great way to make a customer happy to forget they exist when they have been sitting 8 feet away for over an hour staring at them. I doubt I return and won't hesitate to say how my experience went. I worked food service for 6 years and just feel like this happening over and over is disrespectful to the public. I hope they fix it and prosper. Maybe the regulars don't get forgotten but you have to take care of new people too. read more

Even though it should taste the exact same as the Monroe/Campus location, remarkably it's bland and boring to the point of unpleasantness, making you feel as though you have to force yourself to take every bite. When I tried to order drinks for our table, I was informed of a very strict one drink per person rule. While I understand it's a college town, implementing that for a group that looks well over 21 is just inconvenient. We ordered the Tejano, which at a glance, sounded like a questionable combo, but was a delicious combo of flavors. Not sure I would have thought to put cilantro on BBQ sauce pizza since they're both strong flavors, but the combo worked. American Dream Pizza offers such a unique pie. I usually pile on mozzarella, basil, Italian sausage, pepperoni, olives, basil, and fresh slices of tomato. They don't overdo it on any of the ingredients; it's perfectly piled on evenly, and all ingredients are obviously extremely fresh. The crust, however, is what makes this pizza stand out the most in my opinion. It's perfectly fluffed up, due to the beer (I think) used in the crust. The crust has this slight bitter tang to it, not too powerful, but a wonderfully satisfying amount that keeps you hooked and wanting another slice. Overall, this place offers a quality, fresh pizza with a great lively environment on top of that. read more

Ordered here for pick up recently. There was a little mishap with our order for timing (unfortunately the order didn't go through based upon the timing we requested for pick up and took a bit longer) but the staff was wonderful at working through it. Such great customer service and fantastic staff/manager. The pizza was delicious. We had three different minis: Tejano, Zorba, and a create your own. All of us, within the first bite, immediately said this is our favorite pizza joint. Nothing we've ever experience elsewhere (and we travel frequently). Can't wait to visit again! read more

Food was completely inedible tonight. We had a half cheese pizza half olive bacon and mushroom pizza. The pizza and the crust was so salty that my kids went through three glasses of water. My husband tried to tell the staff how to dissatisfied he was with the pizza. They sent out the manager who my husband unfortunately complained about the amount of time it took instead of the horrible taste of the food. The manager stated that the amount of time that it took was completely reasonable for a sit-down restaurant. By this point we were so dejected frustrated and unheard that we decided to leave. My kids only ate two or three bites. I fed them leftovers when we got home. It was just bad. We couldn't finish more than 10% of a $37 pizza! read more

I'm not really much of a pizza fan, so this review speaks for itself. My boyfriend's brother recommended this place for us and I have to say - we did not regret our decision. We decided to order the following pizzas: Marilyn Monroe: pepperoni, American bacon, caramelized onions, and fresh tomatoes on top of each delicious slice! I have to say, this is a sneaky surprise. The tomato toppings add in an oomph of refreshing taste with each slice. I highly recommend this one. (5/5) Rat Pack Special: pepperoni, extra cheese, ground beef, mushroom, and black olives. Overall, the pizza tasted great, but it lacked in creativity. Flavor was still there, but it lacked the "WOW" factor. (4/5) Zorba: herb chicken, feta cheese, mushroom, artichoke heart, and red onions. This one was just okay - nothing spectacular. (3/5) Udderly Delicious: mozzarella, gorgonzola, fresh mozarella (yes, there is a cheese called this instead of just "mozarella"), and Asiago cheese. ABSOLUTELY THE HIGHLIGHT. I'm a passionate cheese fan, and I probably ate the most slices from this little one. For those who are vegetarians = this is a great veggie option. (6/5 = because it's so good!!!!) Pizzas can be ordered in individual slices, mini, medium, and large sizes. If you ever stop by this area - definitely check this place out! I agree with the other customer. Inconsistent! I have had the best pizza ever and then the next time is was subpar. My daughter's pizza order (artichokes, basil, tomatoes, dairy free cheese) gets messed up every time. Lol weekend got someone else's pizza for delivery.....
