Can't say enough amazing things about this store. Shopping for shoes has always been difficult for me for some reason, I tend to over-analyze too much and am so indecisive. The staff was so patient though and spent a ton of time with me making sure that I was able to try on a million different shoes, make sure it was the right size, style etc. They have a really great selection too and are very knowledgeable as I also have over-pronation. I usually buy everything online but with shoes I really wanted that personal service to make sure that they fit and that I liked them. This way I can save myself from spending a million dollars online and then have to return all these shoes, and then probably forget to return half of them. You know how that goes... I'm so glad that this store is local and I was able to go in. They were also extremely accommodating one time when I had to make a return, as they stand by their products and service and ensured that I was able to switch into something else that I was comfortable with. Came here to buy a Burqa. But they didn't have any Burqa-in-stock. I'm not a big fan of the prices here at all which is why I can't give them five stars, and the selection is very limited, but Barbie thought they had a bunch of cute stuff and some of the sale prices were not bad - and the service was really nice so I can't give them less than 4 if we're considering all of those elements. read more

Is Birkenstock Depot under new management? I went on a Friday at 5 pm. They close at 7 pm. There were 3 people working. One man and two women. One woman was fixing the displays. There were no other customers in the store. No one greeted me and no one asked me if I needed any help. They kept walking right by me not saying a word, just talking to each other. In the past the employees have been so helpful and friendly. This time was disappointing. I won't be going back. read more

Dropped into BD while doing some Christmas shopping to see if they had some Ugg boots that I had my eye on for a while. They had the boots, and the price was $60 lower than ANY price found on the internet. The service was absolutely outstanding-knowledgeable, polite and patient. I returned a week later and bought other gifts for Christmas. Will be back, and will be highly recommending them to friends/family. I called Birkenstock Depot because I came across the Kumba Birkenstock shoes while on Amazon. I was anxious because while I've always wanted a pair of Birkenstocks but never had been able to try them on, however I leave for Greece next week as was in need for a sturdy yet stylish shoe that I would know to be reliable. I called the store and Kathleen was an angel and helped me figure out my best size as well as give me some insight on shipping. My order is placed and I am so excited for the shoes to come in, even if they don't fit and I have to return the shoes in a time crunch, Kathleen and Birkenstock Depot were extremely helpful. I could not recommend them enough for a personable and knowledgeable atmosphere. Next time I certainly hope I can come in store to shop! read more

This is the location where I bought my first pair of Birkenstock sandals. Ok, lemme set the picture for you. It was about 13 years ago and I walk into the store. I see these sandals that looks like something Jesus himself would wear. Old school and durable. The salesperson is selling me: There is a calk bottom and the arch is contorted for your foot which will give you a natural style for walking long distances. My mind is saying, check, check plus, check. I'm going to Disneyworld so walking with the natural arch is something I'll be needing. How much are these sandals??? Sold! What wasn't told to me was the break in period and adjustments. I had such a blister on the side of my foot.... #ouch This is a great store that sells quality footwear. If you aren't on the Uggs or Birkenstock bandwagon, you haven't owned a good shoe. Of course you can go to a bargain retail location and buy cheaper shoes. I'll tell you a story about that as well. I bought a pair of Merrills at Costco. I'm climbing the waterfalls in Mexico on vacation (this review makes me seem like Indiana Jones. I'm not. I'm some shulb from Lawg Island) and the band that goes between your toes connecting the shoe broke. Do you know what its like to be stranding in Mexico with no shoes? I couldn't continue the tour. I came here earlier this summer looking for some sandals that weren't flat and had some arch support. I found three pairs all on sale or better than prices found at other retailers and I am glad. One of the shoes I got, I love so much, I'm thinking about purchasing more in other colors. (Naot: Kayla) The staff were friendly and very helpful. The first thing I picked off of the rack, they were very pushy about, but it wasn't something I needed or was entirely looking for, so back it went. The shoes I bought are fulfilling their purpose, and the shoe I love the most, turns out to be really good with the arch. At first, I didn't feel the arch much, but after a full day on it, I could safely say that my feet were reaping the benefits! The leather shoes are also a delight because their so supple/soft! I don't have to worry about blisters forming. And some of their selections are bunion friendly! They have a whole wall of birkenstocks but they also have several other brands in case those don't pan out for you (like me). :) Happy shops and happy feet! read more

My sister,has been a loyal customer at Birkentstock Depot for at least 20 years and has up until today, enjoyed shopping at this establishment due to the varied Birkentstock inventory as well as the always friendly and accommodating service Denise has offered in the past. On Christmas Eve, my sister Eileen bought 2 pairs of shoes from Birkenstock Depot - a pair of vionic Shoes - size 10 for our mom - 87 years old and a pair of uggs for a grand nephew. I bought a pair of Dansko - size 10 shoes for our mother. We were told at the point of purchase that if the shoes did not fit my mother the shoes could be refunded or exchanged. My mom tried the Vionic shoes on in her apartment and walked from one room to another - mind you - she tried 1 shoe on and she said she could use a size larger. Today we went to the store to EXCHANGE the shoes for a size 10.5 and the sales manager indicated the Vionic shoes were discontinued and did not make a size 10.5; however, had the Dansko's in stock. As we were looking to exchange the Vionic shoes for another pair of shoes in the store, the Sales manager came up to us and said she could not accept the exchange because the shoes looked like they were worn and had a dog hair on them (our golden retriever's make frequent visits to my mom's apartment for visits). My sister adamently and honestly indicated to the sales manager - my mom only tried them on - walking from one room to another in her apartment. The sales manager refused to believe this honest statement and refused to honor an exchange. This poor customer service experience today results in us returning two pairs of shoes Danskos and infant Uggs (we will donate the Vionic Shoes that the sales manager refused to exchange) and losing a long time customer. I am not as frequent a customer as my sister is; however, knowing how many shoes that my sister has bought from this establishment over the years, I can honestly say I will never step foot in the store again and tell every one I know not to patronize this store after what transpired today. For now on - we will do our shopping at a Zappos store, or Birkenstock online - both stores have the same pricing and varied selection and better customer service. It is unfortunate as past shopping experiences with Denise in charge have been positive; however, the encounter today marks the end of a customer loyalty relationship to this establishment. I've purchased shoes here in the past and it was a smooth experience meaning they had my size and the price was reasonable compared to other sites/stores/etc. The problem that I have with this store is that they do not have a lot of sizes for their shoes. I came in recently to buy a pair of Dansko clogs for work and they had a couple shoes on sale, which was great, but they didn't have the size I needed. I think that if you are going to have clearance or sale shoes with limited sizes, they should be on the sale rack (which they do have) not on their regular shelf, giving the impression that they have adequate stock in the back. Unfortunately I left empty handed but the woman assisting me did offer to order the size that I wanted. The shop is small, they sell Uggs, Birkenstocks obviously, Danskos and a bunch of other brands. It's definitely a hit or miss shop for me and their prices are not competitive they are at the high end from what I've seen on Amazon or other shops. read more

If you want good comfortable shoes that will last you this is the place to go.....I have bought a lot of shoes from is store over the years and have liked them all....they have a big selection of Uggs which I am addicted to along with Birkenstock and dansko.....if you want cheap shoes go to Payless! Good comfortable shoes are not cheap! The help and selection you get here is worth the price especially if you are hard to fit. I had an excellent experience getting fitted for Birkenstock sandals with both ladies in the store today. I visited Birkenstock Depot Sunday afternoon, to inquire about Purchasing my first pair of Birkenstocks. Michelle was wonderful. I could not have asked for a more patient and knowlegable person to assist and guide me. Michelle intuitively and thoroughly answered all my questions, (and I asked a ton of questions) while at the same time in the most friendly and organized fashion laid out the different styles/sizes of Boston Birks for me to try on. The staff encouraged me to take my time deciding on which Birks I liked best as I walked around the shop, grinning like a fool at how good my feet felt. I eventually chose the Boston w/ the harder footbed and went with a narrower size... These Birks fit perfectly! Do yourself and your feet a huge favor and goto Birk-Depot and after being correctly sized in either the Danskos or Birkenstocks walk out smiling at how good your feet have begun to feel.
