Second alternative is to go to Amazon and order orthotic inserts from Walk Hero for 20 bucks, you can order according to your shoe size so they fit without having to trim them. Not a very large store but filled with all their shoes and styles. They only keep one pair out so the saleswoman would have to check each time we saw a style that we liked. Do they have in stock? Do they have the size you want. It was clearly a lot of work for one but she helped us with a smile. She told us that she wears these shoes and loves them so much that she wanted to work here. I went in the middle of a random weekday thinking the store would be less busy, but there were many customers in there being fitted. Jarod was the associate who helped me. He asked questions about my intended use for the shoes and had me try out a few pairs after measuring my feet. He made adjustments and picked different pairs out from the back as I told him how the shoes felt. I landed on the Saucony Guide 19, which was not shoes that I had in mind or come across during my research. But they are super comfy and I love running in them. I saw they had a lot of gels and other running gear in the store. Would love to revisit when I start preparing for longer runs!
