Well I have written a review for the stadium. But until I saw Chad S's review of the baseball team, I didn't know they had a Yelp Page. So I will try and differentiate as much as I can from the stadium from the organization. As an organization, the Birmingham Barons took a huge risk by moving the team from a Hoover facility to downtown. You have to take into context that after hours downtown Birmingham was not what it is now. It was a bit of a risk with a lot of backlash when they were deciding to do this. But them moving downtown is one of the major factors in making the downtown a better place to go outside of the typical 9-5. As far as fan experience goes, the Barons have done things right. From family night, to dog night and who doesn't love a good thirsty Thursday in the heart of our downtown area? There are never long lines to get in and the hospitality areas are top notch. The concessions can get a little long... but its not from a lack of locations. And the prices are about what you can expect from a stadium without being too crazy. We love a good Barons game and look forward to attending for years to come. read more

I purchased four tickets and t shirt packages for Toy Story night. I was informed the night of the game I would be receiving zero of the shirts I'd ordered due to an error in order placement. They offered tickets at a later date, but their ticket lady was out for the day. I asked about a gift shop credit and they acquiesced. That was a few weeks ago, they've since quit responding to all my emails but maybe that's not all that surprising. read more

A fun event to go to on a Tuesday or Thursday night. I am not a huge fan of baseball, but have been to two Birmingham Barons games and have had a great time during both. They normally have events going on such a "Thirsty Thursday $2 beer" or "$1 hot dog Tuesdays/Tshirt Tuesday" which add incentive to come to the game on certain nights which is a good idea if you ask me. The park is clean, well kept, and one of the prettier parts of Birmingham with Railroad Park right next door if you want to walk around for a moment before heading into the game. The crowd is generally pretty easy-going from what I can tell, and doesn't seem too "rough" by any means. Overall, Its worth going to the game even if you don't particularly enjoy baseball.... just make sure you eat beforehand or bring loads of cash as a simple Dasani water bottle is $4 and it gets worse from there concesprice wise read more

My hubby decided to treat myself and our kids to a Birmingham Barons game a couple days ago. It was our kids first time going and they really enjoyed it! Let me go ahead and get the not so great things out of the way. We decided to buy our tickets at the box office. The lady who helped us was either new or just did not know what she was doing, but we were patient. She finally had someone assist her when she realized it was taking her quite some time to ring up 4 tickets. The woman who assisted her rang up our 4 tickets. When I looked at the tickets, I noticed they charged us for 4 adult tickets instead of 2 adult tickets and 2 kid tickets. We immediately brought it to their attention and it took almost 15 minutes for them to correct this error. They definitely need a better refund process. Anyhow, getting into the game was relatively easy and we had a good experience from there on out. There are multiple food options that are not too expensive, but definitely higher than what you'd pay on average outside of the stadium. For a family of 4, you'll probably spend at least $50 on food and non-alcoholic drinks. When I went to the game on Friday, I went to the restroom for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the restroom area. For us buying tickets the day of the game, we were still able to get decent seats. Also, there was a fireworks show after the game, which was a nice surprise. Overall, it was a great family outing and we'll definitely be go to another Baron's game soon! read more

This place is so much fun. The staff there is so good at helping you get where you need. The only thing I wish is that they would have a line just for water and coke. The line for beer and spirits is the same line as water , it just takes so long to get a bottle of just water , but other than that it is just a beautiful field. Regions Field is a great venue. Personally I find Baseball on TV slightly boring. However watching Barons Baseball at Regions Field is a good place to hang out with friends and have some dogs and beer. I also love the lack of timeouts for advertising so the game moves along at a good speed. We went on a sunny day with a cool breeze and sat on first base. They also have an area on the side with seating under trees and an old AirStream trailer outfitted to serve craft beer and cocktails. read more

Terrible organization. For the game in May in the middle of the day for schools to come, they decided to up the prices to 2-5 dollars more than usual. Many of these kids do not get to do fun events like this and this makes it inaccessible for many. Food service is typically good on the main level, but the lines don't move very fast at the concessions so be prepared to wait for your food. I've been to a lot of major league parks across the country and minor league parks as well and Regions Field is as good as it gets for a minor league organization.
