This was my first concert at Protective Stadium and I must say it is a great time. The walk from our hotel was minimal which was great because parking is never ideal around that area when an event is going on. Entry to our gate was easy to find. I will say the seating was tight and I ended up standing majority of the time just to have room so I wasn't on top of the person seating next to me, but I guess that's always a possibility when an event is sold out.

The visit was great. The Stadium is really nice and accommodating to everyone. I really enjoyed the Birmingham Legion game. The stadium drinks were a bit high but all in all it was a nice visit. Be prepared to walk. It's absolutely no parking.

This is a phenomenal multi use sport facility. Garth Brooks, Monster Trucks, professional soccer and college football happen here. It's a new facility, built in 2020 and it still looks perfect!

My husband took me and our boys to Protective Stadium last Sunday for a soccer game. It's been years since I've been to a soccer game and I was excited to go. The boys have never been to a soccer game in person so they were excited as well. It was the first time visiting this stadium for all of us. We parked in the lot across the street from Eugene's Hot Chicken. The walk wasn't too long for us. It was a beautiful day outside so that helped. Entering the stadium via the security checkpoint was easy. With the signs and labels, we were able to find our section without hassle. This is a nice stadium. I noticed multiple food/beverage vendors as I made the walk to our seats. There was a team store as well. We definitely enjoyed the game and I'm sure we'll back here soon for another event.

We were able to attend UAB's first game in Protective Stadium, 10/02/2021 (UAB vs. Liberty). Much excitement was in the air. Although it rained a little, it did not dampen our spirit, we had a good time! I was concerned about parking but shuttle service was offered from campus to Uptown and the process to use the shuttle was fairly simple to and from the stadium. I Iike the stadium setup as it offers plenty of concession stands with some signature items to meet your appetite and the norm of popcorn, nachos, and hot dogs. The lines were long but hey, first game. So I am sure kinks will be worked out. I look forward to attending more UAB games, concerts, and any other events this stadium will host in the future.

This stadium is huge just walking to your seats is about 4,000 steps so if you ever go to a game a concert wear your best walking shoes The opening ceremony to the world games was my first experience here. Make sure you check the stadium site to see what is allowed. For the world games it was no food but you could have a bottle of water. No strollers or bags bigger than a clutch. You could however have a bag that is see through. Not the best set up for toddlers or old people. I would even say handicap accessible is not too great here. Bathrooms and concessions were plenty. Concessions weren't cheap but varied. Ice cream, nachos, popcorn, pretzels, bottled drinks and lots of other stuff. Parking is just a nightmare. Better to take an Uber and walk. Seats in stadium were bleacher style. Audio was fantastic and big screens made viewing easy. Security was plenty.

Great facility. Fun family environment. USFL Season Opener has been very entertaining. The stadium was filled with fans. Birmingham really came out to support! Line were really long for entry and concessions but the game was fun!

This stadium is so pretty! I really hope it can pave the way for more professional sports in Birmingham. I came here for the first USFL game this past weekend with friends. We had a wonderful time! Seating is a bit confusing, but once you know where to look for the numbers, you will love this place! I can't wait to be back!

Not a bad seat in the house. This will be another game changer for the growth of Bham. Love the atmosphere but need to work on concession's flow as more people start to attend events besides UAB games.

Great stadium with plenty of parking nearby. The concessions are INSANELY expensive. Two small sandwiches and 4 beers was almost $110.

Tickets were half as much as they were in Atlanta so I drove to Birmingham for a mini-break! Parking can be pre-purchased online starting at $20 but there was a line of cars to enter so arrive early. Even though I had $25 nosebleed seats (shoutout to Live Nation's 1/2 off sale), the screens made it easy to see and the acoustics were great! Both performers were AMAZING! The line moved fairly quickly and I had no issues with security or staff (unlike State Farm). But an end row seat meant I had to frequently stand to to let people in. Patrons were super friendly. We all sang along to Maze's "Before I Let Go" as we exited. Rest in heaven Frankie Beverly.. I didn't order anything or use the restrooms so I can't comment on the amenities or food yet. But it was a pleasant experience. I recommend Legacy Arena BJCC and will return. Pics to come on my next visit!

The late great John Denver performed the first concert at the BJCC coliseum (known today as the Legacy Arean) on Sept. 28, 1976! Growing up, the BJCC was a big entertainment destination because few and far between were the "great" entertainment acts who visited my hometown of Huntsville, AL. Over the years, I've seen lots of great acts at the BJCC, including Van Halen [pre Van Hagar days] numerous times starting in August 1981, the legendary The Who on November 30, 1982, Kid Rock numerous times, and attended an excellent Alanis Morisette show here! It's nice to have the Uptown Entertainment District nearby and the extensive modernization of the arena in 2020 enhanced the lighting and sound systems, concessions, and amenities for artists. Well done Majic City!

I also have not been to the Boutwell in decades. lol The event had dedicated parking $30 , at the attached lot. I thought this was insane but being in downtown Birmingham at NOON, parking options are limited. Getting into the event was easy. There was a security checkpoint. However, locating my seat was not easy. The event staff wasn't very helpful. The few I saw. The seating was not clear based on what was printed on the ticket..... I just sat wherever. Pretty much all of the seats were decent at this event. Overall, this was a fun sporting event. I would like to see more workers available to assist guests. Also better signage to help navigate throughout the venue.
