Birmingham District Brewing is one of my favorite breweries!! There is always fun things to do including trivia nights, Oktoberfests, birthday parties, food popups and more. You can subscribe to their website to learn more. Today I am attending a glass blowing class which I found out about through their newsletter. I really enjoy their Irish Stout and their Ocktoberfest. I also found out today that they offer non-alcoholic beers. Great for people who want to enjoy the party, but don't want to drink.

Great brewery find in the heart of DT Bham! Great selection and y'all know how I feel about beer flights! Great seating inside and out; inside space even has a cozy seating section w/couch & plush chairs. Staff were so courteous, engaging, and nice! Easy and cheap street parking nearby! Highly recommend if you're in the downtown area!

We stopped by on our way to dinner and decided to share a flight. It ended up being a tough one to finish. The service was good and the facility itself is pretty cool, but the beers still need some work. There's potential here, but they're not quite there yet.

Was able to stop in while waiting for takeout order from Gus's World FamousChicken next door. The bartender immediately made some great suggestions and I got the Undead and Unbothered Sour! It was described as "intro to fall" taste and didn't disappoint! There is both inside and outside seating and I wish I could have had time to hang out here a little longer!

Made a quick stop here to get out of the rain and had two delicious beers. My bartender was awesome, gave me a few great local recs and was very knowledgeable about her beer. Really cool spot!

The Yelp! Algorithm made me do it by saying I needed one more brewery to hit the trifecta. I've always liked the District's offerings and vibe. They keep the beers in pretty heavy rotation, so they may not always have your favorite. It's a worthwhile trade off imo. Picked-up some Wasabi Juan's and brought it over.

Nice place to grab a beer and catch up with friends. We sat out on their heated patio to enjoy the burritos we picked up at a nearby restaurant along with our beers. For myself, I got a flight with some tasters of their sours and a stout. We were able to participate in a few fun rounds of trivia too. Only bummer is the parking in the area is kind of limited, but obviously this is par for the course in downtown.

Great brewery just a short walk from the Elyton hotel. Great atmosphere, good beer selection and attentive service. We'll definitely go back!

Perfect place to unwind after completing a late evening ride with a local cycle group or just by yourself. Plenty of indoor or outdoor seating options. They now have a new Snack Menu with various options to curb your appetite.

Nice open space with one of the best beers I ever had. The Aloha was delicious! Definitely a nice spot to visit!

This is a really big, open venue! There was a wedding party there when I visited and there was still plenty of space for everyone else. I came specifically to try the Birria tacos but although they looked good, the meal lacked flavor :/ The sauce was quite greasy and needed salt but overall I left full and relatively satisfied. I loved the beer glasses! Can't remember which beer I tried but I know I finished it

    To Infinity (IPA)

Came here for a beer and ended up having two (To Infinity IPA) while running errands on a weekday - very pleased with my selection. Bartender was kind and I enjoyed getting their mini charcuterie dish to tide me over until dinner. Would definitely visit when in the area again!

Right up the block from the brewery, another famous spot

Went there last Saturday. Had a great time and met some good people. Staff (especially Brent) were great about discussing other great breweries in the area. I tasted several great brews and bought some merchandise at great prices as well. I'll be back next time I'm back in Birmingham!

Seating area next to door. Obsidian: coffee/chocolate imperial stout of theirs.

Back Forty is huge-with plenty of seating to accommodate large crowds, couples or even families with little ones. There's plenty of big screens to watch the games on, and I would really love to come back during football season to do just that. I ordered their infamous Back 40 cheeseburger on this visit. While it wasn't my favorite, for a brewery it was definitely above average. It was juicy, made to order and fresh. I didn't care for the sauce nor the stringy onions so I would order it plain next time or try something else on the menu. The shoestring fries were well seasoned with something like garlic parmesan. They were my delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful as we placed our orders. This is a cool spot to hang with your friends, drink, eat and watch some sports or watch the trains go by. I enjoyed my visit and I'm looking forward to coming back.

People often host their own little parties and events at the picnic tables here. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and it seemed like a lot of families came for lunch and to hang out after church. The food here is certainly impressive food for a bar to me. I love the wood fired pizzas. I will say, I think the size is a bit awkward. They're a little too big to be a single serving, and a little too small to be for two people. The beer is all good. Service at the bar always friendly. The fries here are some of my favorite in town. It has everything you want in a brewery; really good beer, solid food menu, fun vibe and lots to do. The beer: The most important part. I was surprised their beer was as good as it was because their signature is a basic blonde ale. Cahaba has beers that are anything but basic. I got a flight with an African Saison, a Southern Feistbeer, River Haze (hazy IPA) and a blood orange blonde. Everything was delicious. The space is large with lots of picnic tables inside a climate-controlled warehouse, a bunch of video games, pinball machines and skeeball. They distill their own spirits as well and had a cocktail menu featuring those spirits. The full-time food truck outside had a solid looking menu. Sadly, I had eaten before I came because their smashburger and wings looked amazing at the table next to me.

But we'd spent the day at McWane Center and we were starving so we were there to EAT! The food looked gorgeous but it tasted very meh. The onion rings had too much breading on them, which I didn't think was possible, but here we are. The part of the breading next to the onion was mushy so that threw off the texture of the whole thing too. The burger was very much like a Whataburger. Even the lettuce smelled the same. I got The Standard and the bun of the burger was a little mushy (similar to Whataburger) and there was not much meat. For an $11 burger, I'm expecting more than a Whataburger. My middle kid likes everything on her burger and isn't picky at all and the loaded kid burger looked impressive but it was about the same as mine. Not awful, but not very good either. Very close to the same amount of meat. She's the queen of the Clean Plate Club and she only ate half. The fries were good but a somewhat too salty, the dip that came with the onion rings was excellent and we ended up using it for the fries. We had 2 adults and 3 kids and our meal was $63 before tip for 5 waters, 2 adult burgers, 2 kid burgers, a kid grilled cheese, and a basket of fries and onion rings (I thought I was ordering a "side" of fries, not realizing I actually ordered a basket and it was a lot of fries and onion rings). We don't mind spending money on good food, but the prices here don't align with what you get. No one was more disappointed than me, I've been wanting to eat here for FOREVER!!!
