This place is so absolutely legit!! We came for the birria and strawberry churros and could not have been happier! Portions were great. Prices were fair. Service was friendly and fast and there was a line out the door. Salsas were great too! And those churros were off the hook! It was a busy spot but clean and well taken care of. Now, if you are expecting queso birria to be anything but rich and greasy, you need to think again. That's the dish! You are gonna use a lot of napkins. You are gonna leave stuffed and sleepy. This is not light health food, it is delicious and heavy. If you want something lighter they may have something else on their extensive menu for you but you'll be missing out, IMO. In town for work and wanted to try a local place. Found El Sazón on yelp and Read some reviews. Seemed like a local favorite so I gave it a shot. Drove here instead of the l 7 taco shops that were closer to come here (according to yelp) Didn't get the same quality of queso birria tacos others did that's for sure. Service was good. Restaurant itself was nice. Great salsa and hot sauce station too. Queso birria tacos started off tasting bland, consume was a cup of flavorless grease. Went downhill from there. Ate half the second one and opened it up to put some salsa on it. Mistake.... The entire thing was cheese covered fat. Gross.. the only thing I can say is do better. $10.50 for two barf looking tacos with 3 ounces of fat and cheese and a cup of flavorless grease to dip it in is pretty steep -then $.75 takeout fee? Wowza. Glad there's other options to try when I'm back next month. read more

This was the first place we tried Mexican food since we moved from California. I was excited to see the salsa bar with the pickled onions. I love pickled carrots but that was not an option, not sure if they have it to order. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. They had a lot of options. Will come back to try their carne asada fries. Ordered on DoorDash late at nite. Very fast. The Taco Dorado Birria was huge and came with all the extras. We're talking fresh onions, cilantro, grilled onions, grilled pepper, pickled onions, and the delicious consome broth. The churros were awesome, I liked the strawberry (fresa) one the most. So far, the best tacos in Kennewick. When you drive past and always see a line of cars and tables full of people mostly throughout the day, you know something must be good. Especially when in comparison, the other Mexican restaurant across the street has only 1 car in the parking lot Although I didn't see lengua on the menu, they have most meats you'd find in any restaurant. My favorite was the trompo, which is the shaved off spot-grilled al pastor meat. So flavorful and even better with the birria dipping broth! And If you get the tacos, they are slightly larger than most street taco vendors, so if you're used to eating 3 street tacos, 2 may be just right for you. Drive thru is easy to get into, which goes thru the parking lot which is also plenty big sharing some spaces with the self carwash. Prices are fair. Tacos range in 3.50-4.50 range, but like mentioned earlier, are bigger and loaded more than a typical street taco or taco truck. Will def recommend and be back for my taco cravings. Taco enthusiasts from Cali, TX, etc and elsewhere won't be disappointed! read more

We drove 2-hours from Lewiston to eat here. Best food ever. It's always crowded, so keep that in mind. Side note, I am from California where Mexican food is a staple. Lewiston and Spokane have nothing comparable. El Sazon, blows the best homemade and restaurant Mexican right out the water. Met other people who drive a long distance to eat here.
