Amazing customer service and nice gal for front office! Took care of my teeth and loved the atmosphere.

Took our insurance money for several months, including 2 teens. But when I called to make an appointment for a cleaning for 1 of the teens, was told the doctor does not see anyone under 21. That should have been disclosed much earlier than at appointment setting. We now have to wait to move coverage to a new doctor and then can get the cleaning. The receptionist could benefit greatly with coaching. When you call to make an appointment, there is no acknowledgement upon answering that one has reached a dental office. That is just odd. We have an HMO and I was told by the receptionist that they do not obtain a per member per month payment as part of the HMO. Yes, you do. When I called my insurer to find a new dentist, I confirmed this. It is so hard to find a reliable, caring dentist with competent staff. My first visit was for a cleaning. It was 90 minutes until they wanted to start what I was told an hour long cleaning. I scheduled a second appointment. At the first appointment, the dentist seemed competent. She was not interested in renewing an Invisalign prescription. I found that unhelpful - especially with no explanation why not. Before the second appointment, I was told that I should pay $150 for a wash. I researched when I got home. It appeared to be a ploy to get more money and not at all medically necessary. I will say that when I declined at the next appointment, they did not pressure me more. But what if I had not had time to research? It is inappropriate to ask if you want to pay more for something one does not need. The dentist should be fully aware of who really needs this - and only offer to those people. The cleaning itself was 20 minutes - not an hour. But wow - I was drenched in water. I suspect the hygienist decided to just forego patient comfort so that she could get it done faster. read more

I wish there was a way to leave a 0 star review. So unprofessional. Makes me wonder why they are so short staffed. We understand patience, especially now with Covid. What is not acceptable is being rude to patients, not letting them know you are running way behind schedule, and expecting my father to wait while others walk in and are seen right away. Also, please update your paperwork. Don't hand your patients paperwork that is illegible - even your receptionist/assistant couldn't decipher. Went to this office because I used to go to the dentist who originally opened this business until she retired (Dr. Mona Entezam was amazing and very honest). Dr. Birva Jones, the dentist who took over the practice, is so completely dishonest and it makes me sick to my stomach to think that a healthcare professional would be so money hungry to try and take advantage of people who put their trust in her. Dr. Jones tells all patients they need a deep cleaning as well as other expensive treatments that they don't need. After she gave me a several thousand dollar breakdown of all the work I needed, I went to get a second opinion and of course, most of what she recommended was bogus. Subsequently, I saw a Nextdoor app post about Dr. Jones from many other patients of hers with the same exact complaints!!! Such a shame! My husband had an appointment for a dental cleaning and exam. His co payment through our dental insurance is zero. The office called me and said the co-payment was $150 but she would charge me only 100. I called my dental carrier and they confirmed I had a zero co-payment. I have Delta dental PPO and Dr. Jones is on there list and near my home. So i called and made a appointment to come in for a cleaning and a sore tooth. They scheduled me for the next day. Great! i thought. Then they called me in the morning to let me know the doctor had a emergency and re scheduled for five days later. Five days later i left several messages in the morning to confirm my appt and never got a call back. So i showed up and before they looked at me showed me a crazy bill for 350.00. almost 200.00 was a emergency fee? The receptionist said they were in a fued with Delta dental so my bill is higher than normal. When i asked about the emergency fee the Doctor interupted rudely and said" You can schedule for another day if you like, Just call us back" With no one in the waiting room i'm baffled why. I have updated my rating to reflect the petty handling of a response posted by Dr Jones, who should know better as a healthcare professional than to put any treatment, amount paid, or even lack of treatment information about her patients anywhere on social media. Not only is the reply likely a HIPAA violation, it is full of untruths. I would think a provider would know better than to lie. For full transparency, see attached treatment plan (7 cavities, deep cleaning, mouthwash and toothpaste.) There's no point in addressing each individual untruth posted by Dr Jones but I've also attached my card charge of $344 since it is believed I paid less than $150. Oh, and I came back "A YEAR LATER" because I'd been pregnant with my second child during the first visit (for a cleaning) and unable to have copious amounts of dental work done at the time. i felt I was lied to went in for a cleaning didn't get it. I was told my tooth needed a crown it would be $1,000 and it was broken and wouldn't last the weekend. There is nothing wrong with the existing filling. I asked about the cleaning which is why o was there and was told they would put on a special rinse for $100.00. I told them I didn't want it. Dr Jones is absolutely wonderful and so professional. Her staff is kind and amazing too. Ariana is always so helpful when booking appointments with me and very understanding when I need to reschedule. Overall this is the best dental experience I have ever had and I don't particularly enjoy the dentist at all. So they made it fun and enjoyable for me. I highly recommend that you go here. On 8/9/22 I had a first appointment with her. It was to be a no-charge exam and teeth cleaning through Kaiser's extra benefit. After examining me she said that I had a lot of 5 millimeter pockets and that I needed a deep clean and a laser trim of the gums for a total of $550. When I said no to that at this time, she declined to give me a standard teeth cleaning. So we were done for the day. I got a second opinion from my periodontist on 8/12. He measured most of my pockets at 2-3 millimeters, and stated that the deep clean & laser trim were not necessary, that a periodic perio maintenance is what would be called for. I'll not be going back to Dr. Jones. read more

Beware of this practice! Went in for a regular check up and a cleaning as a first time patient. After examining my teeth and gums, said I would need a "deep" cleaning. Assistant then took me to a private office, to explain the charges (which I thought was strange) which totaled around $1,200- for a cleaning! Insurance would cover approximately $725, leaving me with $425- again for a cleaning! I politely said, I just want a regular cleaning that is typically fully covered by my policy. She refused and said we can only perform what is recommended. What??!! I was completely floored. Ridiculous! Obviously, left quite upset and never going back there, as their only interest is to hustle their patients out of their hard earned money. Beware! read more

I just had the worst visit to a dentist I've ever had in my life. I'm 62 years old and I was treated like and talked to like a child and I didn't appreciate it. They're trying to sell me $1200+ worth of elective things that I do not need. The doctor told me when I first went in for my X-rays that she suggested Botox for my jaw which feels just fine thank you very much. I NEEDED a deep cleaning and a crown. I was told by the tech as she leaned into me that I HAVE to have the laser treatment even though they handed me a form that gave me a choice to decline it and I did. Then the Dr said she wouldn't do the deep cleaning unless I paid $500 for the laser too. I explained that I live on Social Security disability income and don't have that kind of money. They were also pushing me to buy a Night Guard which I explained I already have but can't use because I sleep with a CPAP mask. They were relentlessly high pressuring me so I said maybe I should go somewhere else and the doctor said that sounded good to her. Never again. I write this not about the dental care but unethical business practices. I feel as though I was being scammed. I am an insured patient with a fix rate maximum I should have to pay. I was told that they would accept my insurance. They are listed as a dental provider by my insurance company. In one instance for a crown I was told the cost would be double the cost of what my insurance stated the maximum amount I would have to pay would be. I was told this was to cover "medication". After much discussion, I had to accept a lesser quality crown to get this practice to complete the work. Before the crown was completed, the tooth became sensitive to hot & cold & would likely need a root canal. The same issue occurred. They wanted me to pay double what the insurance company stated my maximum out of pocket expense should be. The told me it was for "medication". I never heard of or had a root cancel not being treated without medication (Biopure or Medtag I believe). They wanted an additional $500 over my maximum out of pocket for what is covered.
