If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I brought my 6-year-old son to Dr. Ashley Ahuja's office after another dentist told us he had four cavities and would need to have them drilled and filled right away. As a parent, I was dreading putting my little guy through that so soon. But thankfully, Dr. Ahuja took a more thoughtful, preventative approach. Instead of jumping straight to drilling, she recommended a fluoride treatment plan to try and stop the progression of the cavities--and it actually worked! We came in for an initial visit and had two follow-ups. At each visit, she monitored the spots carefully and we saw real improvement. The cavities didn't progress, my son's discomfort disappeared, and most importantly--no drilling needed. Beyond the excellent care, the office itself is so welcoming. It's bright with natural light, always spotless, and even has a little coffee and water station for patients. The front desk team is genuinely kind--always cheerful and so sweet to my son. He especially looks forward to the small toy they offer him after each visit. I also did some price comparisons, and Dr. Ahuja's office was by far the most affordable. Other places were quoting me almost triple the price for the same treatment. I'm so grateful we found this office--compassionate care, no upselling, and a team that truly puts patients first. I don't write many reviews, BUT I had to sit down and write this one. I have bad teeth. I have been dealing with dentists for many years. I have had a few good dentists in my history, and due to circumstances of all sorts we have had to part. Before Dr. Ashley I have had some horrible experiences with dentist. So horrible that I would wait until I was in total agony before seeking another horrible experience. I went into Dr. Ashley's office with the last horrible experience on my shoulders. I was so traumatized from my last bad experience that I would not even allow an x-ray to be performed before I got to ask some questions to the dentist. Cythina, receptionist/scheduling, was absolutely wonderful. Despite my venom she spoke with a pleasant tone, gave the understanding of what I was feeling and more than willing to accommodate my request. Dr. Ashley answered all of my questions, calming my nerves. She even gave me space to explain why I've entered her place of business with such attitude. She handed me off to Daisy, billing/office manager, to go over the price of the plan Dr. Ashley and I had discussed. Daisy is a breath of fresh air with exactly what the insurance will cover and out of pocket. Daisy is wonderful as well in her demeanor, very calming. As of now I have had teeth removed, filled, root canal, and crowns. All have been performed with my comfort, physically and mentally, in the forefront. Dr. Ashley and all of her team are where I will be having all of my dental work done. As I stated I have bad teeth and allowed a lot of damage to take place because of bad experiences. But not now! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! Dishonest and damaging -- beware of unnecessary treatments I went to this dentist for a last-minute appointment after some minor tooth sensitivity. During the visit, I was told I had several cavities that needed immediate treatment -- which was shocking since I'd never had that issue before. I trusted their advice and agreed to the fillings. Two years later, I'm still dealing with the damage. I've seen multiple specialists who have all confirmed that the work done was unnecessary and poorly executed. I still can't chew properly on that side of my mouth. The same thing happened to my husband -- they told him he had cavities (he's never had one in his life), and then tried to upsell him on additional services to increase the bill. This is not an honest practice. It feels completely unethical and exploitative, and if I could take legal action, I would. Please do yourself a favor and get a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment here. read more

I want to start off by saying, I LOVE this practice. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this practice truly cares about their patients feeling welcomed and at ease if you're nervous! Everyone is so kind and helpful if you do not understand something! The receptionist was very nice and helpful when it came to setting up my initial appointment, as well as taking down my insurance information and getting my dental benefits. The dental assistants are both super friendly and gentle when it came to my x-rays, also asked if there were any areas that I was concerned about so they can bring it up on the screen for the doctor!! ( wow , I mean talk about patient care) When I met Dr. Ashley, my first impression of her was phenomenal! She is one of the BEST and KINDEST doctors I have ever came across in my lifetime! She really takes her time with her patients to address any concerns or questions you may have about any treatment! She is so sweet & always ensures you leave out of here understanding the procedures and why it is important to take care of oral our health! When it comes to co-payments and insurance " lingo" , Daisy the manager is SO HELPFUL and overall informative!! She goes above and beyond to explain and go over co-payments, what's covered or what is priority in your treatment to ensure you use your dental benefits before they expire. It put me super at ease to fully understand my insurance policy and of course use it mindfully for my procedures! I hate dentistry. And those who practice it upon me? Not my kind of my people. It's nothing personal. Just how the delicious, cavity-creating cookie crumbles. (Frosted sugar cookies being my fave, of course.) Between my sugar addiction and getting older, I found myself looking for a good dentist in my neighborhood. (Cuz like dealing with a dental appt A N D traffic? I'd rather drink expired mayonnaise. I digress.) Going to the dentist, for me, is on par with a gynecological appt- except it's hours longer, & with 10x as many instruments in the little hole at once. Just. No thank you. Except. All those No Thank Yous is why I ended up needing a dentist all the more. So I decided to test out VCFD. They took my insurance. They were close. Fine. Straight up: they were lovely professionals who put up with my weird fear-of-the-dentist issues from the very first moment. What that looks like is they pretended not to notice me glowering in disdain at everything & everyone from the moment I walked in. I was cranky. (To be fair does anyone SKIP with joy into their dental appts? Yes=You're lying.) But. Like. I was honest, & told the doc I have issues with dentist persons, simply by default of their profession. And Dr Ash was super cool about it. Her entire staff was. They were understanding. Compassionate. I often get through uncomfortable moments by laughing at myself. And yall. These good folks laughed right along with me. Every time. Even the bad jokes. It's been 5?6? years since I started going to VCFD for every single dental need. And it's been 5?6? years of these warm, kind, now familial folks putting up with me telling them how much I hate the dentist when I walk in the door. Except now? I've moved. But not changed my dentist. Cuz now? I will indeed travel & sit in traffic to get to VCFD. I've had my teeth overhauled into something prettier than I thought possible, which means I've seen these guys a lot in the last 5?6? years. But now my mouth is pain-free, & I don't hide my smile anymore. I just wanna add this here: VCFD sends texts as reminders. Which I love cuz I need a reminder. And one day I was panicking, per usual, before a big dental procedure. I grabbed my phone and texted that auto-reminder phone number thingie all about how I HATE THE DENTIST, SEE YOU IN AN HOUR basically. Yall. A human from VCFD texted me back with supportive words and encouragement. Isn't that crazy? It's 2025, and there's a dentist office somewhere filled with that old-fashioned, small-town feel, where everybody knows me and I know everybody? Yeah. I'll fight LA traffic for that hidden gem: warm lovely folks who don't blink twice if I have to jiggle my feet the entire time I'm in the chair. And they don't blink when I bring in my pillow for my back. And they ignore my "I HATE THE DENTIST" protests as I hug half the staff when I leave my appts these days. Seriously. Yall. It's a whole world of kindness and acceptance here. Doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, where you're going, who you love ‍ or how bad your teeth are *cough* looks at self *cough* .... VCFD for the win. 10/10 [I know I didn't get into much technical stuff but that's cuz I had zero problem with those parts. Shots suck, root canals suck, yada yada yada. Dr Ash does them all Perfectly. (Shout out to Dr Armand for the oral surgery! Super kind. And also compassionate and cool.) ] So yeah. My dentist of 40 years retired and then my next dentist retired after I went to him for 12 years. I wanted to find a new dentist who was young enough to not retire before I died (I'm 81!) and who was also near my home and took my insurance. I researched and came up with Dr. Ashley. She went to USC undergraduate and dental school and has been practicing roughly 10 years. Unless I live to 110, she, hopefully, won't retire before I die!! She was beyond wonderful. Her staff is wonderful and everything is very organized. I filled out all the forms and submitted them on line and they actually didn't lose them! Dr. Ashley is kind, cheerful, gentle, and not "pushy." My dentist has always cleaned my teeth (as opposed to a hygienest). Although she has a hygienest, she willingly cleaned my teeth. Also, there is a huge amount of free parking. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone. read more
