I booked my first Brazilian sugar appointment through their online booking service in April 2019 at the RH location. Jasmyne was my aesthetician, she made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process of my service. I left not knowing what the results should look and feel like, but now that I've gotten a bunch of Brazilian sugars done (with another business), I can confirm that my experience with Sugar Me Spa was not great. I still had a lot of hair that hadn't been "pulled" out by the sugar, but I thought that's how Brazilian waxes were as it was my first time receiving one. It looked like I had shaved quickly and didn't bother to go over a second time to get all the remaining hairs. It didn't bother me as I trusted the process and was planning to book with Sugar Me Spa again once time came. Their online booking was extremely inaccurate in regards to the times and/or dates available for services. I booked my second appointment, only to be texted that the establishment was closed during the time slot I had chosen and I had reschedule. I wasn't able to reschedule, so I cancelled it instead. I booked another appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne as I already dealt with her my first time around), through the same online system. I received another text a week before my appointment stating Jasmyne was not working during the date and time I had chosen. I was offered different dates and times to reschedule, however, time was too tight to reschedule. I asked if another aesthetician could provide the service, to no avail. I rescheduled my appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne) in August 2019, only to be texted that Jasmyne couldn't make it to work and was asked to reschedule again... Overall, over a span of 4 months, I went once with mediocre results. Their appointment booking service is extremely hectic and inconsistent.

I did like that she inspected everythign thoroughly before start and took the time to explain why skin tags develop and also what the procedure steps will be along with the medical compounds involved in removal and post-removal care. It's been 2 weeks since and the black spots left by the procedure have fallen and the scars healed very well, almost unnoticeable. It is not easy, especially that, until recently, almost none of these businesses clearly advertised such a service. A nudist for many years, I had to suffer shaving around my penis and testicles when a smooth down-under became fashionable in nudist villages, resorts, hotels, beaches, etc. The culture of "waxing and sugaring are a woman thing" no longer holds water. True, still very few women beauticians are brave enough to invade man's private parts for the purpose of man-scaping, but some younger generation of beauticians don't subscribe to that stigma. One such ladies, a unique lady in her field in my opinion, is R i t a . A young woman who really loves what she does, Rita has no hang-ups when it comes to dealing with men's genitalia. She treats those private parts as you would other members of the body: hands, shoulders, ears, etc. And, more importantly and rightfully so, she is proud of her results. I've been having my back, shoulders, underarms and Brazilian waxed regularly as I travel a lot, mainly to naturist establishments. The woman who waxed me was super professional, loved her work, and did a great job. But I found myself always trying to space out the treatment sessions. Now I know why: the pain of waxing. Waxing in some areas of the body feels like torture. Thankfully, once upon a time, a couple of months ago, my travel plans changed, and I needed to wax on a Monday and fly out on Tuesday. I discovered that my wonderful waxer didn't work on Mondays. I had no choice but to surf the web, in search of someone that inspires trust and who works on Monday. Here's a little background: I am not a Toronto native, and flew into the city a mere 2 days after having my lips injected with Juvederm (from a doctor in Los Angeles). I noticed unsual swelling but was assured by the first nurse that it would go down. She was wrong. My lip was incredibly swollen and mis-shapen, and it was NOT getting any better. I knew I had to look into finding someone out here in Toronto to help me. I was on a mission to find a reputable plastic surgery office or any salon, for that matter, that offered injections in hopes that someone would know what they were doing and could help me. I called about 15 places. Leaving messages and talking to anyone I could . For the most part no one was of much help. Until I received a call from Shantelle! (the manager) of the New You spa. My prayers were answered, one of the nurses heard my voicemail and immediately put me in touch with Shantelle who made my situation an absolute priority, talking to me on the phone, and getting me in the room with one of her recommended nurses the NEXT DAY. She even came to meet me and help in every possible way. I can't tell you what a relief it was. Within a matter of hours I was in the office, given a few injections to undo the mess, and home. Heather was the nurse who was helping me, she tried everything in her power to alleviate the swelling and remove the existing filler. She was kind, professional, and knows her products! Within hours my lip was already looking better and was at such ease. My emotional state when I went into the office, to the time I left was night and day. The care and overall customer service of this office was incredible and unlike any other office experience I've had. It was a shame to be at a place like New You under my terrible circumstances; unable to appreciate the office for what it was. But just being there an hour and looking at their "menu" if you will, I really can't wait to go back for an actual warrented procedure or service! (Especially Heather, she knows so much about fillers, which is truly an art, and if anyone needs someone that knows what they're doing, GO TO HER!) All in all, the staff here are incredible, professional, kind, and know they're products!
