There's no elevator, and the staff watched indifferently as I struggled to get my 77-year-old body and suitcase up the narrow landings. It's right on the Eastern Shore's main highway, so be prepared for lots of traffic noise. I left an early flight, so I had to check out at 4:15 AM. Evidently they hadn't turned on the hot water yet. Showering was a real adventure! Other than that it's pretty much your standard overpriced tourist hotel. But it's cheaper than some others.

We immediately called to cancel our reservation, explained the situation, and even asked if we could simply reschedule for another weekend. The answer was no. No refund. No credit. No rescheduling. Nothing. Apparently customer circumstances don't matter, even when they're completely beyond the customer's control. Rather than showing any understanding or offering a reasonable solution, the hotel chose to keep our money and send us on our way. Needless to say, this experience has guaranteed that we won't be staying here in the future. There are plenty of hotels that understand customer service is more than just reciting a policy. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED, First, that we had to cancel our weekend getaway, second that the hotel had zero empathy.
