a plate of food on a picnic table

The food was delicious. I ordered pulled pork and fries and the sauce was amazing. The fries were nice and crispy, some of the best fries I've ever had. The food came quickly and the waiter was very nice. We ate in the patio near a beautiful lake. I'm very satisfied.

Finally was able to hit Bishops Landing in Owen Sound... I've heard so much about the place and was so very excited to eat there... the restaurant is located inside the hotel inn on the bay-best western and walking in is very inviting and open to larger tables or two person tables... The greeting was very friendly and I must say our server went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy... The food was good not exactly what I thought I was walking into from the recommendations I received but very good all the same... the fish and chips were spectacular and everyone raved about the chicken curry as well as the deep-fried mozzarella triangles! I feel there were a couple opportunities for the future, one being a better quality chicken wing, I find chicken wings with a darker almost blood like bone tend to have a very irony taste or mineral taste and when the bones break it is a little offputting but the flavour of the sauce was bang on and delicious... the bacon wrapped scallops although very delicious are quite pricey for what you get....The special for the night was the chicken Parmesan which had all the great flavours you would expect from a chicken Parmesan but unfortunately the chicken had a bit of a rubbery skin underneath the breading which was also a little offputting... Like I said, this was still a great meal just a few opportunities for the future. We all left full and happy and what more can you really ask from a dining experience...and who other than two bars that I know of in Grey/Bruce County have DAB on tap! Thanks again to Bishops Landing... We will be back! Zeke

We love this place! Good food, relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff. We had the berry salad and beef tostada as starters. Both were delicious. For main course we picked chicken Parmesan, grilled salmon, and penne arabiatta with shrimp and mussels. They were excellent!! For desserts you can't go wrong with their popular gluten-free cheese cake, pecan-flan, or carrot cake. My husband got a free dessert for his birthday. Thank you!

One of my favourite things to do on a Saturday morning when I'm at the cottage is visit the OSFM…read more Located in the heart of Owen Sound's bustling Downtown district, it's the place to be (if you're cool...like me) on a Saturday morning, especially in the Summer. While the market runs year-round, there are less vendors out during the winter season because the actual building they run the market out of is very tiny. The St. Lawrence market puts this place to shame size-wise, but this market has a more intimate feel, which is what buying local is all about, isn't it? In the Summer time, vendors line the entrance way and take up some of the parking lot (which can get quite busy/completely full with cars. Have patience..) which adds even more options for potential dinner(s). Tip: arrive as early as you can before everything runs out! They have: -A little coffee place that also makes breakfast sandwiches and small stuff like that -Organic and non-organic fruits and veggies -Organic meats including sausages (spicy, honey garlic, plain) lamb, beef, poultry, venison, bacon etc -Yummy goods baked by Farmer's wives -this is the real deal! (I recommend the German apple cake from the woman inside towards the back of the building, the tarts that are sold outside are also good too) -All sorts of plants (one guy there sells GIANT lillies) -Beeswax candles -Pottery, sculptures, art work, knick-knacks, etc -Sometimes there's a guy there who sells $20 bottles of olive oil who is a really good sales-pitcher. The oil does taste really good though. When you're finished over here, take a nice stroll downtown and check out some of the bookstores, or sit by the ravine in the shade with a coffee.

I got some maple syrup and roasted coffee here. Also some artisan stalls for jewellery and art. In terms of things to eat, there is a place to get drip coffee and breakfast sandwiches, a place to get espresso based drinks and a stall selling delicious Syrian food. Items tend to sell out later on during the morning.
