It's a fusion restaurant. I feel like it is Canadian and German/ Austrian mix. It has burgers, fries and schnitzel. Love the cooking of the schnitzel and it is very fresh. This is a great local place to stop for a meal just outside Owen Sound. I got the Jaeger schnitzel. It's a very generous portion size and was nice and tender. The mushroom sauce on top was a nice addition to the overall taste. The schnitzel came with a generous and delicious helping of root vegetables and mashed potatoes. Our server was very nice and friendly and attentive. You can also get ice cream outside from a window. read more

Had the misfortune of picking Rockford Family Restaurant for dinner -- Ordered the Schnitzel Sandwich-- When I say it came to me fried to an inch of it's life --- dark brown with black edges all around -- it tasted like cardboard & it was a crunchy piece of garbage -- I didn't complain to the staff because I seen plates with similar garbage being served all around me. I realized that this is the usual here My fellow diner ordered a Club it was also tasteless with some of the worse chicken or turkey who knows at this point Got home & needless to say haven't been having a good reaction On the upside the waitress was wonderful maybe that is why I didn't say anything because this was the worst meal I have had the most poorly prepared food enter with caution read more

On my drive home from camping near Owensound. Really wanted a comforting brunch and I was in luck to have found this place in the middle of the highway. To my surprise, the place was very busy. This shown how good it is. The service was attentive and efficient, while the food was tasty and priced right. The egg Benedict has been one of the best I had so far with a very well made sauce. My wife ordered the daily special Lasagna, and it was very well made as well. What great was that the lasagna seems made to order. It came out hot with crispy top and melting cheese inside. If I ever pass by to this place on Highway 10, I will definitely have a good meal there. read more

Stopped here on a rainy Saturday morning. It has been so wonderful spending time on the peninsula and having so many businesses ask for vaccination cards and enforcing civid safety. This place is no different1-I love that they are still being vigilant (even though my husband and I are fully vaccinated and have the booster). The food was amazing! Definitely the perfect pick for a cozy fall brunch. I got the Benedict, and my partner got pancakes and eggs. Went for lunch and currently use a knee scooter, was easy to access the restaurant and bathroom. The breakfast menu is a good bang for your buck and we both ordered the eggs Benedict one with the grilled home fries and one with deep-fried both equally amazing. Service was quick and friendly over the lunch hour. The restaurant was about 1/3 full, but the conversations were quiet and not disruptive to others. Review time kids!!! The bride and I hit this place while on vacation. I'm seriously bummed.....why?you ask?!? They are a solid 10 hour drive from home! Cute and honest is the best way to describe this establishment. There is no denying what the proprietors are going for here, and that's serving great food! I was hungry for breakfast sometime at around lunch time, so as we were driving from Tobermory we were looking for places with late breakfast and we saw this place with a sign - breakfast till 3 pm. I ordered my favorite breakfast option - Eggs Benedict and they were so yummy. To each their own but I'm a pro in Eggs Benedict as anywhere I go for breakfast I always try eggs benny. These were so yummy. i really enjoyed the way pouched eggs were made, Hollandaise sauce was quite light which I love, homemade baked potatoes just added to the great experience. For a restaurant in the middle of not much, it was really really good! The staff were all very friendly and attentive even though it was so busy on a Saturday around noon. The food was so good. We had a turkey club with a side of poutine. I can't remember the last time I had such good poutine. The fries were thick cut, the gravy was just salty enough and the cheese was perfectly melty and stringy when you picked up each fry. We were tempted to order another one to go even after our meal. We also ordered the schnitzel with homemade gravy and sautéed onions and a side of mashed potatoes. It came with a serving of vegetables too. Delicious! Went there to eat breakfast as we started to make it a Monday tradition, all the food is absolutely delicious and the waitresses except one with purple hair are amazing! Today we were seated by the lady with purple hair she was on the phone talking away walked up dropped menus walked away without a word, she went back put away the phone and continued to seat 3 other tables of which she asked each what they'd like to drink, proceeded to go behind the counter and get them all there beverages, before even checking back with us whom she seated before the other 3 tables! Very poor service even know the last time we tipped her 50% of the bill because the food was so amazing, but her service it not, for this reason I will not be back.... read more
