This place is great! It was a shot in the dark as we literally followed a handmade sign in the road that said "Bacon and Eggs This Way" with an arrow pointing. We walked in and were told to sit anywhere, we chose a spot towards the back. The place was clean and had a good number of people inside (always a good sign) We were greeted by a friendly and chipper waitress who was helpful at answering menu questions. The food was tasty! It is hard to mess up bacon and eggs, and toast, but this place didn't disappoint! The portion sizes were appropriate (Which I feel made the place stand out, usually its a ton of food and you're left with a doggy bag that you end up forgetting, or the sizes are too small and you are hungry, this place was in the goldilocks zone for sure!) We were checked on a few times during service and our coffees were refilled on time! If we're ever back up in the area, we will return!

Excellent Food prepared and served by friendly staff in a pleasant setting. The only negative for some customers is the cash-only policy.

Hungry Hanger - This photo does not show the scale of this skillet. It is literally a medium cast iron skillet filled with deliciousness.

Hungry Hangar is literally beside the Keppel International runway so it is a very cool place to watch small planes take off and land while eating. It's so popular with locals that the owners had to ask patrons to keep their stay to 1.5 hours so other customers can also dine with them. Sure enough, mid--way through our meal, a plan landed and taxied right to the window, parked, while the pilot hopped out and walked to the office building next to the restaurant. This is our first visit to Wiarton and we wanted to have breakfast locally. On a Tuesday morning, only two restaurants served breakfast. So glad we chose this one. We both love skillets and chose one with kielbasa sausage and one with thick slides bacon pieces. Our server was so friendly and helpful in describing the menu. We elected to have the sauce on the side; she was really open to meeting our needs. When our skillets came, they were literally medium-sized cast iron skillets, filled with crispy home potatoes, onions, bell pepper, loaded with meat and two perfectly medium fried eggs on top, with just the right amount of melted cheddar cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed HALF of our meals, dabbing our forks in the tangy, sweet sauce and sipping our very fresh decaf coffee. What a comfort meal. We boxed up our other half and will repeat this joyful meal tomorrow morning in our hotel room, though the ambience will not be nearly as entertaining. The restaurant was filled with locals, always a good sign. It's a rather small room with about 8 tables, so there is likely to be a wait on weekends. That's OK. It's worth the wait. The price was very reasonable, especially given the generous portion sizes. We will definitely be returning to try their lunch entrees. The menu looked wonderful, with many tried and true satisfying choices. Definitely out this diner in your list if you are anywhere nearby. And save time to hang around and watch airplanes do their thing.

They had a couple of tables in the patio, but we felt safer to just ordering take out during pandemics. Their menu got quite some varieties. I'm a big fan of egg Benedict, so I got the smoked salmon Benedict. My parents are small eaters, so I got them the egg, bacon, yogurt and cake combo. Last but not least, my husband got turkey dinner combo for lunch. Yes, he can eat that much for lunch! Everything turned out to be so yummy and flavourful. - Egg Benedict was perfect. Home fries was almost flawless. I'm generally not a big fan of home fries coz they suck mostly, either too much oil or no flavour at all. However, the home fries here met all my requirement, from the balanced flavour to the proper fire temperature control. - My parents spoke highly of the French cake with raisin. It was not too sweet, with very balanced flavour. They also enjoyed the bacon and vanilla yogurt a lot. They claimed that the yogurt was not too sour and had strong diary taste. - Turkey tasted okay. Mash potato was one of the best I've ever had. The whole family fought for it. Overall, with the few different items we've tried, it seemed that the chef here had excellent cooking fundamentals. It will definitely be my first dining choice when I revisit the area.

We ordered of the daily menu and everything was delicious. Bacon cooked to perfection, waffles were nice and fluffy. The French toast was nice and fluffy but I felt the cream cheese wasn't blended with the raspberry compote enough. Service was attentive and friendly. We also got frozen cabbage rolls from their take home meals, those were delicious as well.
