There's quite a vast selection from produce, meats & seafood to Asian drinks and hot food. Unfortunately everything is still relatively overpriced compared to other Asian groceries judging by the prices of their seafood market, hot food stand, specialty beer and even the taiyaki now. One positive is the number of sample stations now in-store. There's also a handful of food court options from BB.Q Chicken to Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu. We weren't impressed though by the cleanliness of the food court. If you're planning to have a meal, just be prepared to take a while to find parking in the busy plaza parking lot. Skip it or hit it? We will usually skip it until the next Korean food craving hits in 1-2 years unless it's something we can't get it elsewhere!

The only issue I noticed was a patron had interrupted the cashier who was checking out my required goods. The patron was doing self checkout when she encountered a problem. But no staff was available at the self checkout section to help. The cashier couldn't help her, since he was dealing with me and others were also behind me. When I left, the patron was still waiting for help at self checkout, and boy did she NOT look happy. Perhaps they should consider more staff at the front during peak times of the day.

Forty minutes later I finally get noticed, guess what? She told me I should have redeemed my chit when I payed for my groceries...WTF!!!! I asked for the manager, she points to him, so I said may I have a word, his reply. I'm a little busy right now can you give me ten minutes....again WTF!!! He was pushing 2 buggies for heaven sake. 4 items...40 minutes!!! Never again!!! I expect some sort of resolution to such a disastrous situation. It's not just the products, it's also the customer service in my opinion. Cashiers are happy and will actually smile at you when checking out. Parking situation is a tad annoying since it's at First Markham Place, and it's always busy here. Overall, worth the hectic parking lot and the amount of people. It's the best Asian supermarket in Markham, hands down!

This is a small to medium sized specialty supermarket - the specialty is their meat. Choices are…read moreamazingly plentiful, I was able to find not just the normal cuts of beef, but even frozen beef bone marrow, foie gras, etc. Also I was able to find a pretty wide variety of Italian ingredients including many types of flour for pasta and pizza. Probably this store has some Italian background? They also have a wide selection of prepared meat items, for instance I saw they had ready to bake Beef Wellington :D However, I'm not too sure about the taste as I tried their breakfast sausage and it turned out far too salty for me. The other side of being a specialty store means...not having that much choices for other types of items. Produce choices are satisfying enough but of less variety than bigger supermarkets. I somehow liked their packaging of using ziplock bags for salad leaves and other produces, it saved me a bit of fridge space. Seafood choices are very limited. Being a person with a diet that stresses heavily on seafood and white meats, that weekend I did end up going for a second grocery trip to get all the items I needed. The store had very few customers during my visit. It has the feeling of a neighborhood grocer that serves only who knows this place - I happened to hear a customer talking to the butcher and it sounded like the customer had been coming to the store for food for a long time. Not a bad place at all if knowing what to expect from a specialty store.
