Was out for a winter landscape sunset photoshoot at one of my favorite spots northwest of Skippack PA and watched the snow amounts off PA Tunrpike getting less and less to nothing as we drove west so I abbandoned my plan and suggested my wife find a restuarnat near Willow Grove as I was coming up on the exit and she found us an awesome dinner spot to make up for the let down. We arrived at 5 pm, place was nearly empty expect for 2 tables which gave us choice, we opt for the rear right corner. Proceeded to open our bottle (yes- a BYOB) and Olivia came to great us. I needed a glass of wine to wash away my photo-sorrow. But boy did our meal make up for it.... talk about a great unexpected find. We opened with the claims in white wine and garlic, was a bit on the salty side but was still a welcome opener and we dunked their fresh bread until it was gone. We then shared the Mediterranean Meatballs, wow, nice texture, soft not hard, flavorful. Nice dish. For our entree we shared the veal marsla which was accompanied by roasted potatoes and asparagus and the penne vodka... both were delicious and pretty platting presentations. Third time here and it did not disappoint. What a wonderful place for a date night. It's also a great place for the whole family. Got the Bistecca Albertino (steak with a red wine cream sauce) and the wife got the chicken marsala and both were delicious. Absolutely loved this place and the server, i think her name was Krissy, was incredibly kind and accommodating. My husband and I can't wait to go back! Went here for my fathers birthday. The place is on the smaller side, but does not feel small when you are inside. We had a reservation and were sat immediately upon arriving and checking in. The waiter greeted us quickly and took our drink orders and asked if we needed any wine opened. This place is a BYOB and it was so nice to bring our own beer and wine. We ordered grilled calamari and caprese. Both were really good and more than enough to share with the five of us. The bread and pesto they brought to the table was really good and they were quick to bring more if we asked. For dinner, I went with the veal picatta which was delicious! I ate the whole thing. For desert, I got the affogato with vanilla gelato. I was so stuffed but really enjoyed it. Overall great time and my father really enjoyed his birthday dinner. I took my husband here for a romantic dinner after not seeing each other for 3 weeks. We had met here 29 years ago (it was a bar back then). I'm giving two stars because other than our amazing waitress, Molly, the food was horrible. Molly was very attentive and a great, friendly waitress. The atmosphere wasn't much better than the duvet bar we met in 29 years ago. The food was a big miss. First, the bread was awful. It was dry and tasted stale. The pesto sauce was ok, but needed more olive oil for the stale bread. The meatballs were probably the best part of the meal. Very good! The sauce was good but only if you love garlic, which we do. My husband had chicken parm, which is his absolute favorite and orders it everywhere we go. The cheese was not even melted on the top (see picture). He said it was the worst chicken parm he ever had. I had the salmon with risotto. The best part was the asparagus. From a restaurant that has so much seafood on the menu, I would not expect to get a piece of salmon with so much coloring added. The salmon was cooked well but the pink color is such a turn off. It really was not a great piece of salmon for the price. The risotto was not great. I don't know why it was so yellow in color. Just did not have a great flavor. Between the meatballs and the orangecello shot, they were the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, this place fell short. read more

Do yourself a favor and go here as soon as ya can. Delicious, fresh food made with care. No SYSCO here. Cozy interior, the kindest and most helpful staff. One time I even locked myself out of my car near this restaurant, and didn't have my cell phone. I walked over to this place to use their phone and they called AAA for me, gave me something to drink and kept me company while I waited for the locksmith to open my car. It's a great place to take a date or family for a special occasion, but the prices are good enough that you can go here more often. I can't wait to go again. read more

Wonderful experience start to finish. This place looks like a dive from the outside but don't be fooled. Inside is warm and welcoming. Chrissy greeted us as soon as we walked in and joked with us when we commented on having a reservation - the restaurant was completely empty (just after 5 on a Tuesday). We were seated immediately and she proceeded to get our drinks and bread then return to tell us the specials. She asked about allergies which we always appreciate as my wife has a seafood allergy. Dinner was excellent. Generous but not ridiculous portions. Everything was hot and fresh and perfectly prepared. Chrissy was very attentive throughout the meal and was just the perfect server in every way. Prices were very reasonable for elevated Italian fare like this. Restaurant is BYOB but did serve us complimentary orangecello after the meal. We also appreciated the old school Italian music soundtrack playing there. My only regret is that we aren't local or else this would absolutely be a regular spot for us. read more

We've dined at Albertino a handful of times. There are innumerable other Italian restaurants in the area from mom and pop style restaurants to approaching gourmet. Albertino is a level above the neighborhood Italian restaurant, always good, but misses noteworthy. For the price point, there are many other options and there is nothing special about this restaurant that calls for going out of your way to go there. The service is good and the staff is friendly. The prices are somewhat high for what you receive. However, if you are in the area, it's not a bad option. read more

We had an amazing dinner last night. Dom was our waiter and he was really attentive and friendly. The ambiance is nice but quite loud. But it's not the establishments fault that people just don't realize that they are not at a night club. LOL! My husband had the grilled romaine and the cod special. I had the house salad and penne a la vodka with a side of meatballs. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out hot. Unfortunately, we had no room for dessert. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food. The background music added a nice touch. This is our 2nd time here and we will come back for sure. Parking is limited and some entitled guest decided to park illegally and block the exit. Since there is only one way in and out my husband had to very carefully back up and out the entrance. This is not the restaurant's fault but maybe they should put cones to the left of the exit so people don't park there. Other than that, we had a very memorable dining experience. read more

The outside doesn't look like much and you would easily pass it by, but double check and make your way in. This place has amazing service and great food! This place is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover cause the inside is well furnished and very classy. It's BYOB. Our server Miriam was nice and informative. She started us off with the complimentary bread with pesto dip. The pesto dip was really good. Very light with occasional hint of a spice to it. The bread was light airy with a crunchy exterior. For appetizers we had the baked goat cheese. Amazing and delicious. The strong goat cheese was balanced out with the nice acidity and slight sweetness from the marinara sauce topped with olives for different textures. The crostini gives you the necessary crispiness to the dish. If only there was two more pieces and it would be perfect. We ended using some of the bread to lap up the rest of the dish. The Linguini Pescadore was amazing. We had it in white wine sauce. Absolutely delicious with a melding taste of seafood. It was very light and subtle, but super delicious. The seafood was fresh and well done. Shrimps were big and juicy, fresh clams, and deliciously sweet and soft mussels made this dish amazing for any seafood lover. The Veal Saltimbacco was slightly disappointing compare to everything else. Sauce was good, but strong which destroys the delicate salty taste of the prosciutto and slightly mask the earthy taste that comes with mushrooms. The veal was a bit tough considering it's a tender meat. Had slight difficulty cutting it with the provided knife. Could have been better. Then we ended with one of their homemade desserts. The cannoli was delicious. The cream was light and not too sweet. A delicate and mellow taste with hints of lemoncello paired together with the super crispy crunch of the shell. Absolutely delicious combination of textures that leave you wanting for more. The orangecello shot were just what you need to need the night. Nice sweetness to wrap the whole experience together. Goes now nicely and gives you a tiny warmth. All in all an amazing place that you should not miss! It may look like nothing on the outside, but the food is wonderful. The service is great and the price is reasonable. Must try and definitely recommend the baked goat cheese, linguini pescadore, and the cannoli. read more

Who knew this little BYOB gem was here in this strip shopping center? But what a great meal! Everyone in our group had a completely outstanding meal! We went to this place to celebrate our mom's birthday. She absolutely loved it! Her mussels appetizer was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. Others split a Linguine Pescatore pasta dish and also loved the sauce. The seafood was prepared perfectly. I had the grilled romaine salad, which was good and light, though not great. It needed something more than just a plate of grilled lettuce. Three people got the fish special, which was a grilled Chilean sea bass. I don't usually like that fish but tasted it and thought it was delicious. Mom was happy as a clam with her Linguine with Clam sauce (pun intended!), and the restaurant makes their own pasta. I had Risotto Pescatore. I am picky about risotto, but this was creamy and delicious and the seafood was plentiful and perfectly prepared: shrimp, mussels, calamari and clams. Portions are very generous and there was plenty to take home. Normally I would forego dessert (I was stuffed), but there was a birthday involved. So we got a Peanut Butter Tartufo, which was split into 4 pieces and more than enough for 3 of us! It's basically an ice cream version of a Snickers bar: peanut butter ice cream coated with caramel, wrapped in a chocolate shell. Though stuffed, there was no resisting! The lighting was weird. They really need an electrician. Lights kept dimming and brightening, and it seemed to coincide with the air conditioning. Hopefully they'll get that fixed, as it was rather annoying. Though the food preparation was high end, prices were really down to earth and reasonable. An espresso was $1.95. The tartufo was $7.95 and my risotto was a bargain at $21. read more

I was in Willow Grove visiting my elderly ailing dad in a nearby facility and staying at a local Marriott. My friend and I make it a point to go to local restaurants and shy away from big name chains with high prices and low quality and taste. We were delighted to find this great diamond! Don't let the modest exterior fool you. Their homemade pastas, sauces, fresh fish, and fresh made desserts are par excellent! Our server Ryley was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. The atmosphere was contagious joy. We made friends with several adjoining tables and the orange cello was a lovely surprise. By the way Chris had the sea bass and I had pasta w/ shrimp in white wine sauce. I'm salivating now just thinking about it, too bad we live 300 miles away or we'd be local regulars too! From reading prior reviews, I felt like dishes were either a hit or miss. And this was definitely my experience. The outside does look sketchy but once you enter, the inside is nicely decorated. They serve warm complimentary bread with basil pesto sauce. The pesto was good but on the sour side. We ordered the sautéed calamari which my mom loved but I thought it was okay. They have a grilled option as well but not fried. I ordered the pasta special ($27-28) and I was shocked how good it was!! It was fresh red beet pasta with a creamy white wine sauce, arugula, bacon and crab. The flavors were 5/5. My mom ordered the linguini pescatore. She did not particularly enjoy the dish. The white wine sauce looked like water and it tasted like fishy pasta water. I do not recommend this dish with white sauce. There is an option to get a red sauce which may have been better. They served complimentary orangecello shots which was very nice of them! It is a BYOB place. This place is soooo good. Today they have the grill octopus as an appetizer. It was cooked perfectly. Each of our entrees was cooked to perfection. The pesto shrimp pasta, seafood pescatore, and veal satimbocca (the potatoes are crazily good.) Why haven't I come here more often is beyond it?! It's only 10 mins from my house. Sauces on the seafood were more flavorful broth than red sauce or white sauce This let the fresh seafood be front and center! The clam app was hot, fresh and seasoned with white wine and garlic, delicious. Linguini Pescatore is feast of clams, mussels, calamari and shrimp! I chose the red sauce which fresh and very light, again, so the seafood was the star. Linguini was a dente. Fresh bread with pesto and olive oil when you sit down.
