As I walk in, the nice lady behind the counter welcomed me very friendly and after knowing that it was my first time in a Haitian restaurant, she recommended the Griot plate. I ordered it for take out, there's no dining in, so everything is take out. After I sat down, I started eating this delicious plate...what a delicacy...everything was done perfectly. The Griot was fried but not too crispy, it was tender and juicy on the inside, perfect to be douzed with the sauce that come on the side. I had the griot and it's not your traditional kind were there is a mix of fatty meat and pieces of meat with no fat, some of you know what I mean, all the pork had no fat and I kind of like it more when it's made more traditional were you get all those fatty pieces because to me it adds a bunch of flavor more. I've been back a dozen times since then. I usually order the lambi, which comes with a mountain of riz collé, fried plantains, pasta salad and pikliz (like all the other food). It's so flavorful and extremely worth it. It's best to go before the dinner rush when there's a fresh batch of food (depends on what you order).
