A cute spot near the city of Cowansville. We went on the day of the eclipse so as you can imagine, it was PACKED. Our server told us there were so many people that day that their small town grew to over 10,000 more people that day! That all said, you're here to see if the food is good. The food was alright. I feel like on the busiest day they've probably ever had it's not fair to judge the quality when they didn't expect so many people so I'm sure it's probably better when it's not super busy, but it was just okay, as some tapas were definitely better than others. Pizza (Meat Lovers): Average pizza. Nothing wrong with it, but it's pretty expensive for what it is. Poutine: Way too saucy and the cheese curds were average. On the bright side, the duck was very tender and rich and the fries were very crispy. Risotto: Delicious! This was my favorite dish. The whole dish was infused with so much flavor. The portobello and pancetta were very tender. Escargot: The escargot were pretty tiny... other than that, no problems with this dish. Tasted good, but a little too greasy. The cheese they used didn't really tasted like gruyere. Mixed reviews for the different dishes we ordered. Prices were really expensive for what it was. The risotto was the star of the night, so I guess this ekes out a 4/5 for me because of that. read more

I'm a bit undecided on this one. Our waitress was fabulous, and the decor is interesting in a good way. The live music was the perfect volume to allow conversation. The choices were good, spread across, their core seasonal menu and a daily specials menu. Everything sounded delicious! I ordered the lobster pasta. Overall flavour was good, but it was quite heavy with cheese, too heavy for my taste.. Also tried the sauted calamari, and unfortunately it was overcooked, so didn't enjoy that too much. Still, overall we had a great time. It's a great spot to go try new things and share with friends and have a glass of wine. read more

We went for a late lunch on a Monday. Service was pleasant but food was not great. We ordered a smoked duck salad. It came with very little duck and some apple slices that were slathered in overly sweet sauce. We also ordered a coconut and spinach ( or Spanish??) soup that was not freshly made and certainly had no spinach. We inquired about the fresh fish dish that was on the menu and were told that it was only available "after 5pm". Yet someone one table over ordered it and got it. When we inquired, we were told they were a "table d'hôte ".... !?!? We were hôtes! We also ordered a side of grilled vegetables. They arrived as more of a vegetable mush, cut into tiny indistinguishable cubes, and definitely not grilled nor tasty. For our first meal in Bromont, it was very disappointing. We were also overcharged for that side dish and had to get that corrected. read more

My wife and I have had tapas style food a number of times. So, when we saw this place online, we just had to try it. Upon being seated, we realized that the menu was entirely in French, but that turned out to be a blessing. Martin, our most gracious host, said that he would be happy to simply bring out various dishes if we agreed, and being the adventurous foody types, we happily agreed. Well, the combinations that Martin put together for us, over the 2 trips we made to the restaurant, were absolutely unique and amazing. We will definitely be back whenever we come to visit Bromont. read more

Sorry but not impressed but actually disappointed. They have 5 items on the menu. I chose the grill cheese with prosciutto and a cream of carrot soup. The soup was alright actually but the main was very disappointing. It came with luke warm fries with a 5 tablespoon container of mayo, and tiny salad for $18.99. Are you kidding me. Anyone who ever visits Bromont, Quebec, Canada (a small mountain resort town about 40 minutes east of Montreal) has to eat at Bistro Le 633... I was in Bromont for 6 meals and 3 of them ended up at 633. And I expect there to be more this summer! All meals were fantastic, I would recommend to never pass up a chance to have their version of French onion soup, with the Cheeky Bastard Stout au jus...). read more

Great idea serving Tapas (typical way of serving a meal in Spain). Some dishes were wonderful and some were not so tasty and way over priced. I feel that if you are going for dinner, the food should be good if not, magnificent. Food is what restaurants do. If it isn't good, I shouldn't be charged for it. I was. My bill was way too much for the quality and some of us left hungry. The service was below average. We wanted to order more food but our waitress gave us the check after leaving us for over 30 minutes. So we left and spent our money elsewhere. Having eaten amazing food all over the world, I feel that this restaurant is not worth the money. read more

This is a cute little place with cool looking water bottles in the center of bromont. I had the table hote for lunch time starting with a cabbage soup that came in a cool little bowl. I ordered a glass of sangria which is almost the size of most restaurants 1/2 pitcher... But not much fruit was included so that was a let down :( My main dish was a shrimp salad which had cold Matane shrimp along with a skewer of medium sized grilled shrimp. The dressing on the salad was basically just oil and citrus flavour from what I could tell... If the salad dressing had more punch to it the salad would have been fantastic rather than just average. I had a mini molten lava chocolate cake for dessert which was extremely decadent and yummy but was obviously made before hand and microwaved. All in all an average little restaurant with not too bad prices... Good if you are looking to try a new place :) read more

Cute little bistro with a lovely patio... that's the only saving grace of this place. The bad, well, the service wasn't good; we didn't get water until we asked for it and that was well after our mains had arrived despite every other table getting water as soon as they sat down. The regular menu posted at the entrance looks decent, but for lunch, you have to order from their specials board, slightly annoying but we made do. I ordered the moules and vegetables. Everything arrived and the the mussels were already out of their shells, kinda weird. After taking a bite, I realise why: there was no way in hell that these mussels were fresh. They had the consistency of saw dust, when you bit into them, they fell apart, were tasteless and grainy. I have never sent food back in my life, but this was hands down the worst thing I have ever been served in a restaurant. They were nice enough not to charge me for my meal, but honestly, the shellfish must have come from an expired can or something. Tried my table mates pizza and it was equally blah as was the starter soup. There's tourist trap and then there is just plain awful, my experience was definitely the latter. On another note, besides the food, the background music is really strange. It is like electronic spa music...we all remarked how strange it was and how it got to be quite annoying after only a short period. read more

We were two couples visiting the area, and we stopped in, without reservations on a busy Monday, for an early supper. Martin our main server was excellent. I have celiac disease and must eat gluten free. The menu noted GF items, but Martin was very good at noting how other non GF items could be adjusted for me. Between the four of us we enjoyed grilled Caesar salad, I had beef tacos which were excellent and the others enjoyed scallops, lobster ravioli , and we all enjoyed another beef dish with peppers and Brie. Our water glasses were filled regularly, the wine was delicious. My only disappointment was that the crime brûlée topping could have been heated longer to ensure it fully carmelized.
