Our favorite spot in Magog, hands down. The team is welcoming and makes great recommendations. The pizzas are just like in italy: thin, tasty, and delicious! We recommend the Polpetta which is excellent. We'd also recommend the cesar salad as well as the Arancini are to die for with the home made tomato sauce. A MUST locally! We've gone for lunch around 2 when it was not busy at all, as well as dinner where the atmosphere was fun. Recommendation to make a reservation for dinner as it gets busy at night! read more

Alessa is always never disappointing, it's always a perfect spot to eat. Every dish they have is cooked and made to perfection. Be aware if you are used to having your pizzas being cut, they are not cut here haha so you gotta work for your slice. Love all the different types of pastas they use as well as sauces and garnished. Their bread in general is so delicious showing off their pizza dough. The servers are always attentive and so friendly and always with a smile. American here. I can attest that the service and food quality far surpassed any I have experienced in the United States within the past couple of years. My husband and I decided to take the quick trip to Magog from Vermont and we had an exceptional meal here. We literally just left but I needed to leave this review asap. We started off with the calamari and arancini and I highly recommend both. I went with the lasagna for my entree and you must get this!!! By far the best lasagna I've ever had anywhere. My husband liked his bolognese but he preferred my lasagna. The tiramisu was also delicious. Our server Andreyann was amazing and prompt. The menu is easy enough to understand but they have an English version on their website which I was thankful for. Absolutely worth a visit even if you are not in the area!! read more

Great food! We had eaten here twice and each time loved it. Their minestrone is really good, arancini balls are amazing, pizza to die for! Also, do not skip affogato! It's super good! This has to be the best pizza and pasta restaurants that I've ever tried. We've been going here ever since it opened and it is just so incredible. The pizza crust is so thin and the pasta is perfectly al dente. All the sauces and types of pasta are incredible. I'm normally not a huge fan of tortellini but theirs is so good. Everything is so addicting and I can't wait to be back in Canada soon to have their food again. read more

The restaurant has a big space, it is very clean and everything looks organized. The service was very good, the waitress explained us the menu and made some suggestions. We ended up ordering a funghi pizza, it has a thin crust and a nice tomato sauce. We also had the linguini pescatore, which has mussels, clams and shrimps in a light white wine garlic sauce. This was our leaving Magog dinner after a weekend of bed and breakfast and conferences. The good: Food is great! Pasta al dente. Good list of wines and drinks (although we had none). Great waitress, always smiling and friendly. Small portions but quite filling. Nice decor. Everything is fresh. The bad: Girl at door was not in a happy mood. Menus hard to understand. Bathrooms are placed oddly. Can be loud, noise travels easily. Can be expensive for some. You can wait a while for your plates. We wanted to find a chick pasta place, and l think we found it. After we had Pinocchio turn down our reservation, we stopped next door at this restaurant. We asked if they had a table for us since all restaurants were at full capacities. They were happy to sit us at a table on the second floor. Our server help us select a wine that would be paired with our food. First time for us at this place. Our table was located in a way that we could see right over the kitchen and it was great. You witness your food being cooked and know it is done properly. Our server went out of her way to ensure we were satisfied and that our needs were met until the end. We made a reservation for 5:30pm. When we walked into the restaurant and gave our name, the hostess right away told us that they "double booked" and that we would need to be out by 7pm. This put us back as we came to celebrate a birthday (which was mentioned in our open table reservation) and did not want to be rushed through our meal. For appetizers, we ordered family sized caesar salad, caprese salad and fried calamari. The caesar salad was just ok (croutons dry w/ no flavour, overly salty prosciutto instead of bacon) whilst the calamari and caprese salad were slightly better. For the main course, we ordered a pizza (which was soggy), the seafood pasta in white wine sauce (whereas the sauce was non-existence and the pasta was undercooked) and 2 orders of the funghi veal (the veal was good but again the pasta was undercooked). When we were finished our main course around 6:50pm, the same hostess who told us we needed to be out by 7:00pm returned to take our plates. It appeared to be a tactic to rush us out. We also told her our issues with the food (undercooked pasta) and she offered no sort of resolution. When our actual waitress returned she had a bill in her hand but we had not yet requested it nor were we asked for coffee or dessert. I expected to order a dessert for my father to celebrate his birthday. At this point it truly felt like they wanted us out, which clearly puts a sour taste in your mouth when you 1) reserved this time and 2) paid over $200 for your meal. This restaurant makes the most amazing Italian food. We ordered the margarita pizza and the Alfredo pasta and they were both delicious. I would also recommend ordering the focaccia bread which was also delicious. We are every bite of our food. For dessert we had vanilla ice cream and mango sorbet which were also both amazing. This restaurant opened just before the summer (2018), I've been 3 times and it's consistently very good! The pizza dough is fresh and rolled super thin, which I love. The 'Alessa' pizza is my favourite, and I've had the caesar salad which is also very good. The staff are warm and friendly and the ambiance is lovely (though a bit noisy when the place is packed full). Everything is clean, professional, and the prices are very decent for the level of food and service. Definitely a place I will be recommending! read more
