This dentist is very through. She came up with a plan of care after x-rays. Unfortunately she does not do root canals in office and has to refer out, but she was able to refer someone who takes my insurance (in Miramar). Her office staff is excellent and I have a much better experience than my last dentist at Poway family dental. They are quite expensive, but all dental work is if you don't brush and floss frequently enough. read more

Melinda is patient and knowledgeable in answering any related questions to benefits on your plan. Annette is very helpful and kind in easing any questions you have about what they are doing that day of the appointment. Dr. Bita concern about her patients comfort and she is willing to listen your express your dental concerns-really helps in trusting specially if you are one of the people that gets uneasy about dentist appointments. This is solely based off my experience with the lady Melinda, (May have it wrong), that called to confirm my appointment. Background: I called to schedule an appointment about 4 weeks ago looking for a dentist since we were scheduled to switch insurance plans Aug. 1. The call center lady was VERY kind and professional and said someone from the office would call me to answer my questions. So 4 weeks later when this lady calls me with her accusatory tone saying "um, yeah your appointment for Wednesday at 2, sound familiar? You need to call your insurance to have them list us as your dentist or you're going to be considered out of network." I'm so confused as I forgot I had even made the appt since I did not get an email, text or call until TWO days before. I told her I never got my questions answered and she said "Yes, I called you the very next day and left you a voicemail." Odd, I checked my voicemails and the only voicemail I had was from the call center saying they mistakenly said my appointment was a Monday but was actually a Wednesday and hoped it wasn't a problem. Anyway, I said I needed my two questions answered first, before I had them listed as my dentist and the entire time she had this condescending, accusatory tone. I even had to say "please, let me finish" and "I don't think we're getting along" because she wasn't listening to what I was actually saying. I had NEVER spoken to her before nor been to this dentistry office and this is how she talks to people? Unfortunately, she completely ruined it. This type of interaction definitely does not have people like me or my family eager to make this dentistry ours. I asked if this office would refer my children to a pediatric dentist to which she replied "They aren't referrrred, they're assigned" and "um ok, well we have NEVER done that before." Um, ok. My husband listening to her on speaker is equally confused by her lack of professionalism and her condescending, accusatory tone (his words). I had had enough and just asked our appointments be cancelled. Thanks for being so unhelpful and rude. Future patients, beware. read more

I have been going to Dr.Bita for several years now. This past weekend I was involved in an accident that left me with several broken teeth. I called Sunday and left a message. Fist thing Monday morning I received a call saying come in as soon as I could and they would fit me in. When i arrived they greeted me like an old friend were very concerned about my injuries not just mu teeth. I walked out with 2 new temporary crowns and feeling so much relief. My third visit to Heavenly Smiles was just as wonderful as my first two visits! This was to be my crowning moment; the day I was to get crowned! Lol When I entered the lobby, relaxing and sing-along Christmas music was playing from the hanging monitor with a beautiful display of Christmas colors to enhance the mood. Ahhhh After Melinda greeted me with a friendly smile, I sat a tad and viewed the monitor; the words, "Christmas 2023," (hmmm) were nestled in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Interesting. A clue? Melinda, the Office Manager, is the voice of Heavenly Smiles; she is friendly, welcoming, cares, takes time to listen, knowledgeable, etc. and subs as a Dental Assistant! Wow, who knew?! A quick backstory: At my last visit I was instructed to call Heavenly Smiles if my temporary crown fell out; it fell out Thanksgiving Day! I did not call, rather, I emailed about the incident. That still counts, right? On Monday, Melinda called me and was very concerned about my health, having an open cavity. I reassured her that I was fine; she wanted me to be seen right away. No sooner had we hung up, when Melinda called saying that my crown came in earlier than expected, time to return to Heavenly Smiles. Melinda is a get 'er done individual!!! Time to get crowned!!! Dr. Bita welcomed me to the dental exam room. I sat on the dental chair, assumed the position of comfort, with no fear; friendly Dr. Bita handed me cool, special dark glasses to wear to protect my eyes from saliva showers. Ew and Lol! As Dr. Bita was preparing my mouth for the crown, I listened with Mind, Heart, and Soul. Dr. Bita is a Dentist, YES, but I could feel the precision and accuracy of an Engineer, a Draftsman, a Mathematician, but mostly a compassionate, caring, empathetic, doctor that is serious about the quality of care she provides her patients! Again, I experienced no pain, and my crown fits better than my original tooth!!! Dr. Bita nailed it! Actually, she cemented it! Lol Dr. Bita stressed several times: Do not chew hard foods on that side, EVER. I kept nodding my head with understanding, but the whole time I was thinking, "Yes Mother!" heehee Before I left the exam room, I noticed the clock on the wall ticking BACKWARDS! Is this a sign, or a message that I was getting younger, which translates to living longer! ... but WHY? I found an answer on a site called, "oralhealthnc.org." It said, "The link between oral health and whole-body health is called the oral-systemic connection, and it can impact an array of conditions, from cardiovascular disease (heart disease) to diabetes, osteoporosis to Alzheimer's disease, and much more." So, when I left the dental exam room and headed towards the lobby, I was returning, or going, "Back, to the Future!!!" Understand, Heavenly Smiles folks could still be Angels, Aliens OR even, Time Travelers, which explains no pain due to...advanced techniques!!! Of course! If you are looking for a dentist who has insane dental skills, talks to you like you are a person, an individual, not an appointment time, treats you as if you are family and cares about your comfort, then you want Dr. Bita Tahvildari to be your dentist!!! I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Bita! My eye tooth (tooth #6) broke off at the gum line as I was eating and it was quite a shock, to say the least. Fortunately, I didn't feel pain because it had been treated with a root canal years before. The dentist I saw advised extracting what remained of the tooth, followed by putting in a bridge. I made an appt. at the oral surgeon's office but before having my tooth extracted I decided to get a second opinion. I am so glad I did!! Heavenly Smiles was recommended by my insurance company and I called them, hopeful that I could be seen as soon as possible. The friendly person who answered my call, Melinda, expressed genuine concern about my situation and scheduled an appointment for the next day. She made me feel so welcome. Upon examining my tooth, Dr. Bita gave me great news!! She confirmed what was left of the tooth was still strong and could be built up, a crown on put on, and then splint it to the tooth behind which would also need a crown. The cost for this is far less than if I'd had an extraction and a bridge, as the first dentist had advised. Dr. Bita explained the procedure in a way that I understood, which I appreciated, as well as giving two other options and letting me choose which one I felt most comfortable with. I was impressed by the courteous and caring attitude of her assistant. I like Dr. Bita because I trust her judgment; she's there to help her patients and makes you feel like you're a priority.
